Popular Nigerian singer, Harrison Okori, professionally known as Harrysong, has said he will only marry a second wife if his wife agrees.
Recall that the “Reggae Blues” crooner, while celebrating his wife Alexer Perez Gopa’s birthday via his Instagram page last Wednesday, jokingly noted that he was planning to take a second wife.
In his birthday message to his wife, he acknowledged her as a good and sweet woman, but humorously added that it would not stop him from marrying a second wife.
“Today is my wife’s birthday 😀😀 God woman. Sweet woman, my love. But I will still marry a second wife, sha 😀😀😀😀”, he wrote.
Shedding more light on the statement in a recent interview with Hip TV, Harrysong explained that his wife would have to agree before he could marry a second wife.
He expressed his love and respect for his wife and emphasized that he wouldn’t take any action without seeking her permission. He stated that his desire to marry a second spouse stemmed from his love for a large family.
“I love my wife so much. I take very good care of her. And I have great respect for her. I will not do anything that she is not a part of or that she would not permit. So, if I talk about marrying a second wife, yeah, maybe. But it would not be a disrespect to my wife. It will be what she permits, what she agrees to. Basically, I will not disrespect her. So, if I’m talking about marrying a second wife, just know that we are all going to be one big family, all together,” he said.
