A lady shares what made her decide to settle down with a man.
According to her, she wanted to transfer rent money to her brother, but her hand slipped and she sent it to this man instead. She began to panic because he wasn’t her boyfriend, he was just a talking stage that she barely knew.
She picked up her phone with a shaking hand, and called him. She explained her mistake and he calmly replied, “Oh, I thought you were proposing in cash”. It calm her nerves that he was making jokes about it.
He sent back the money and she thanked him. After which he made a statement that got her attention:
“If money can change how I treat you now, marriage go hard”
She said in a country where people can easily deny a transfer alerts, she was stunned at his integrity. And that was when she knew, he was the one. Not because he sent back the money but because he had integrity in a time when it was very expensive.
She concluded with the fact that the veracity of the love story remains doubted by a lot of people she had told, but, “if you’ve dated in this country, you know honesty can look like a miracle”, she added.
