A woman whose husband advised her to cut off contact with her single friends reached out to them years later after her husband lost his job.

According to the story which was shared on X, a lady had her wedding and all her friends showed up for. In fact one of them had to take a week off work abroad to attend the wedding.

But two days after the wedding, the new wife exited the ladies’ group chat. One of them reached out to her to confirm why she left and she said her husband told her to. She said he told her to cut off her single friends because they would advise her wrongly. The friends decided to respect her decision and let her be.

“You don’t get to burn bridges and still expect baby girl treatment”, the writer concluded.

The tweet has stirred reactions from X-users online:

@Olami_deeEbony You men are the probl3m too. Your wife can have friends. What’s so b@d if they’re single.

@shaga187  If the man is doing well, he won’t be sc@

red of his wife having single friends that would get married soon and become married woman like the way he married his wife. The man has certain level of inferiority complex in him for advising his wife to discard her friends that came through to her during there wedding.
