A lady whose husband was against nose piercing was shocked at his behavior after she decided to get one.
The wife had gone in to get her nails done and it happened that her hair technician’s neighbor owned a beauty salon that does piercings – and she had always wanted to pierce her nose. She knew her husband didn’t like it but she convinced herself that probably if he sees how it looked on her it might change his mind.
She paid for it and got it done; “It was p@inful but I endured the pa!n”, she added. Initially she wanted to hide the piercing from him for a few days, but she decided it was better he saw it. So when he called her on video call and he saw the ring, he hung up. She called back a number of times and he ignored the calls. He then sent a message asking why she had decided to be so stubborn, and if she wanted to talk she knew what to do. After deliberating she decide to forgo the nose ring. But what surprised her was that, after she removed the ring and called him, he did not say anything regarding the piercing from that moment till date.
She said that she knows, that some women will consider her husbands action to mean control. That he had done things without asking her permission and she didn’t complain. She will go ahead to say that those women misunderstand what gender equality meant. “Equality does not have to mean disrespect…my husband is a good man, and I am not going to deliberately disobey him because of social media shenanigans”, she concluded.
