A lady has taken to social media to share why she regrets calling a rich man st!ngy after refusing to send her money.
According to the lady, she and this particular guy had been acquaintances online, and one day, he bought a wristwatch and flaunted it online. She messaged and told him to send her money in celebration of the watch. He told her that he had spent a lot getting the wristwatch, so he wouldn’t be able to send her anything at that moment. She laughed it off and called him “st!ngy boy”.
She noticed that after that conversation, he stopped chatting with her. She reached out, and he made her understand that he stopped chatting with her because she called him st!ngy. She told him that it is just a joke that ladies tell, but he didn’t consider it a joke; that you can’t call someone who doesn’t owe you a thing, st!ngy. His words stroke a cord and she apologized for her actions.
Later he came across her business post and asked for the price of an item. She tells him and he paid for three of it. She asked where she should send it to, and he told her that he just bought it to support her business. He went ahead to tell her that “you see, I am not st!ngy”. And why he didn’t give her the money she had asked prior, was because he didn’t want her to be entitled to someone else’s money without given value back. This she found to be enlightening.
