A woman took to X to explain why she broke up with her boyfriend after he reacted badly when she told him she had a fever.
According to her, she had woken up with a fever that kept her bedridden. She texted her boyfriend and asked if he could take her to the emergency room, but he shared that he wouldn’t be available and she could book a ride there. She went alone, and when she got back, he asked if the doctor prescribed any drugs. At that moment she realized something.
She realized that he liked having her by his side when everything was fine but when she needed care she became a problem to manage. Days after she ended the relationship. People critiqued her decision as impulsive; saying no one ends a relationship over a flu. But she concluded that it wasn’t about the flu. It was about always being alone when things got toughs. “Sharing happy moment is quite easy. The hard part is sticking around when the other person needs you”, she added.
