A lady has taken to social media to share her reaction after NYSC paid her a monthly allowance of 770k instead of 77k.
It was a normal payday during her NYSC days. She received an alert and went ahead to confirm it. Behold, it was ₦770k. She didn’t believe her eyes, so she looked and stared at it in disbelief. The figure stared back: ₦770,000. Dumbfounded, she went to her roommate and showed her. The friend became “stupified”; she looked at the phone and back the lady for two quiet minutes.
According to the lady, the situation was a serious dilemma: she was very broke and needed money for a whole lot of things. She stared at the money again and the thoughts of what she would be able to afford with that much saddled her mind. It was looking like God had finally remembered her.
Whilst in the midst of the devil and deep blue sea, she remembered that the money wasn’t hers to begin with. So she decided to return it. She confesses that, till today she still reflects on that day. She concluded with the fact that the experience made her to realize that being honest is easy until there’s something very tempting sitting right in front of you.
