A Nigerian man had a heated disagreement with his landlord after the latter reportedly demanded that he remove his solar panel from the compound.

In a video capturing their exchange, the tenant said his landlord refused to allow him to install the solar panel on the roof, forcing him to place it on the ground in the compound instead.
However, the alternative arrangement did not sit well with the landlord, who insisted that he did not want to see the panel in the compound, adding that the space was meant for parking cars.

The tenant, in his defense, argued that he had placed the panel in front of his apartment, as they had reportedly agreed, yet the landlord was unhappy with the arrangement.
The disagreement escalated as the tenant accused the landlord of frequently threatening tenants with quit notices whenever they failed to comply with his demands.

Standing his ground, the tenant challenged the landlord to damage the panel if he was uncomfortable with its presence, insisting that he would not remove it until his one-year rent expired.
The incident has drawn attention to tensions that can arise between landlords and tenants over the use of shared spaces in residential compounds.
