i get what hes saying but i believe if parents insist on bride price it should be paid as a matter of respect. but pple from countries where bride price is being paid also gotta understand that its got nothing to do with bible or whatever cuz in europe pple have never paid bride price and thats where todays christian beliefs became big and popular. if both sides dont insist on bride price its not a must. to each their own.
