A Nigerian lady has sparked discussion online after she spoke on people’s reaction to MI Abaga’s wedding compared to veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic and Mercy Chinwo, who married at about the same age.
The lady, identified as @aunty_neme on Twitter, says everyone seems to be mute, not saying anything about MI Abaga marrying at his current age (40), but had a lot to say when Mercy Chinwo and Rita Dominic married at 30 and 47, respectively.
“No one actually has anything to say about M.I and getting married at his current “age”. But on Mercy Chinwo and Rita Dominic’s day, Una wan use motivational speech finish us. Odiegwu”. She wrote on Twitter.

It would be recalled that after Rita Dominic’s wedding a few months ago, a Nigerian man who is a motivational speaker, Olemerezi Basil urged young single women not to follow in the footsteps of the actress by getting married at the age of 46.
The gentleman took to his Facebook page to say that rather than celebrating a new union, one should be celebrating 20 years of marriage at the age of 46. ICYMI
“Ladies please don’t follow the footsteps of Rita Dominic. There is no sweetness in marrying at 46years. At 46 you should be celebrating 20years of marriage anniversary with your husband and your 20years old undergraduate by your side, even though it God that bless with kids.” He wrote in part.
