“Being called fat or skinny is not body shaming if that’s how your body is” — Singer, Dencia

Cameroonian-born singer and businesswoman, Reprudencia Sonkey popularly known as Dencia, has taken to social media to address the issue of body shaming.

According to her, people have misconstrued the meaning of body shaming because calling a person fat or skinny is not body shaming if the person is truly fat or skinny.

Dencia, in the post she shared on her Instastories, noted that people should not be ashamed or hurt by comments about their bodies, instead they should learn to embrace it.

She wrote,

“Why is it called BODY SHAMING if it’s how ur body is? If you are skinny or fat & they say skinny or fatso, u shouldn’t be ashamed of it.

In other news, Dencia recently revealed that she is still single because she doesn’t believe in marriage because a lot of people marry “wrong” and majority of marriages don’t last these days.

Answering a question of “why isn’t she married?” Dencia noted that she’s a very a ambitious woman and marriage and kids don’t fit into her ambitions.
