Recently, a video of popular reggae artist, Majek Fashek performing during an event at the Common Wealth of Zion Assembly church, went viral and got quite a lot of people talking.
Well, controversial Cool FM’s OAP, Daddy Freeze then took to social media to criticize the COZA church for allowing a secular musician like Majek Fashek to perform on the alter.
According to him, there is no sense in bringing in a secular artiste to perform in church, adding that his thoughts are that christian altars are supposed to be sacrosanct.
He wrote:
“I am still searching for the sense in this. I am a huge Majek fan, but do I want to see him perform in a church?

Can a secular musician like Majek perform in a mosque? Have you ever seen an artiste like Majek perform in a Buddhist or Hindu temple? Can Majek perform inside the Okija shrine? or the soppona or ayelala shrine?

If other religions value their altars and keep them sacred, is it out of place to suggest we do the same?

Now, self-acclaimed Nollywood actor Uche Maduagwu has fired back at the On Air Personality.
He took to his Instagram page to reveal that Daddy Freeze is just so unfair and added that he doesn’t have respect for legends in Nigeria.
He wrote:
“Whats your business if Majek Fashek performs in a church? Is it your Church? @daddyfreeze This is just so unfair, dont you have respect for our legends again in Nigeria? This your over sabi is getting too much oh, who are you to question a legend like majek Fashek? What’s your business if he performs in a church? Is it your church? Or is it paining you that he was invited to perform gospel songs in a Christmas gathering in COZA church, and you’re not? So after critisizing our pastors and calling them “Yahoo Boy pastors”, you are not satisfied, you now want to critisize a legend like Majek Fashek simply because he was invited to performing in a church? Let us fear God oh… Sir, go and fix your marriage with Opeyemi firstly, then you can come back and talk about a great Legend like Majek Fashek. If someone like u can talk in a loosed manner like this, then little wonder people don’t know u in home vidies cos your post has shown you have nothing upstairs.
Going by Daddy Freeze’s post, I don’t see him disrespecting or directing words at Majek Fashek, he’s only trying to call the pastor to order…….see, Christians are loosing it in Nigeria drastically and let’s call a spade a spade, what is uncalled for is uncalled for……..go back and read what Daddy Freeze posted very well, then u will see that your use of English GNS 101 or GST 101 result should be probed.
