Father Giuseppe Berardelli, 72, refused to take the respirator while in a hospital after finding out that the other patient — who was a complete stranger — also needed it, according to the BBC.

According to the Catholic News Agency, he was one of at least 60 priests who lost their lives in Italy this month due to the Corona virus.

As at the time of filing this report, Italy has become the country with the highest mortality (deaths) with over 6000 people who have lost their lives to the Covid-19 novel Corona Virus.
