Senior pastor of Living Faith Church AKA Winners Chaepl, Bishop David Oyedepo has yet again kicked against the continuous closure of churches across the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Some days back, the clergyman kicked against the Federal Government allowing markets to open while keeping churches shut.
At the church’s headquarters in Otta, Ogun state earlier this morning, Oyedepo declared that churches are now open and that anyone who is against this will die for it.
“The doors to churches across Nations are again declared opened this morning. Can I tell you this? Hunger is far more devastating than any virus that will ever visit the earth.
It kills silently. There is no vaccine for hunger. There is no medical solution to hunger.
Hunger has no treatment than to have food and Spiritual famine is far more devastating.
That is what the devil is looking for but he has failed. The church is back on its feet. Anyone who hates to see that dies for it.
The church of Christ on the earth is liberated. Spiritual famine shall not have its way.
Can I tell the world, no one has the answer to a problem like Jesus” he said

It’s big shame to hear this so called man of God talk in this manner, which to me explains the secret behind been the founder of a church. in the public, it’s about God, but behind closed doors, it’s pure business. Markets have reopened, so they too are hungry to return to their church offerings. I say this because if truly this is about God alone, they still have another option of preaching on the streets using loud speakers. but they rather want it in church where they will have offering to take back home at the end of the day. But let me ask this, does God only honour preachings done in Churches?
For crying out loud, these so called pastors often claim to be healers of all kinds of diseases. Why can’t they heal the world now, to clear people’s doubts about their super natural Powers? Here they are now, waiting for researchers to come up with a solution, then you will be hearing of miracle healings from churches here and there. What a shame!
In this lockdown period, one would expect This church owners to do their quarter by reaching out to the Less privileged as a show of the love they often preach about, considering that this people are in the most difficult period of their lives, and had been contributing greatly to their wealth, over the years. love is a two way thing, they say. If they showed you love by making donations and offerings in the past, now you owe them the return of that good deed. But surprisingly, they want their church businesses reopened as if they too are supposed to be there to serve as a means of livelihood to them. Worst of all, they don’t even pay taxes, businesses do.
Quite Frankly, both redeem/Chris embassy church owners should be cautioned before they cause confusion in this country. Besides, churches are not the only social gatherings Losing here. Churches, mosques, and everybody loses at this critical period. We all are in this together. Imagine, after they have acquired stupendous amount of money from their churches and are living comfortably, they now see the reopening of markets as not been thoughtful or important enough for them to respect.
I can see it clearly now. its one thing, and I mean just one thing… take away money/offerings from churches and nobody will want to own a church again.
There surely will be surprises on the last day.
