Different reactions have trailed a clip that was shared on the microblogging platform X which captured electricity officials fondly referred to as NEPA disconnecting the light of residents in Ajao Estate, Lagos State.

According to the tweep who shared the video, the actions of the electricity official would warrant them not to have light for a long period.

His tweet read, “Looks like we won’t be having power for the next two years.”

Though he didn’t disclose the reason why their electricity was been disconnected, the video recorded the officials climbing onto a ladder placed on different poles and disconnecting the wires at the same time, while the people who lived within the neighborhood ranted on.

Netizens who came across the video revealed that for the officials to have acted in such a manner the community owned a large amount of electricity bills.
