Frank Edwards berates

Popular gospel singer, Frank Edwards has expressed his displeasure with a staunch fan planning to trek from Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, to Lagos to celebrate him.

The fan, who evidently reveres Frank and sees him as an idol, recently revealed his plan to trek 119.4 kilometers to meet the gospel musician.

This didn’t sit well with Frank Edwards, and he took to Facebook to express his disapproval of the fan’s action. He stated that he does not support the walk because it is risky and stressful.

The Enugu-born singer also questioned the fan’s motive for wanting to trek that distance just to see him, as it doesn’t make any sense to him.

Speaking further, the 34-year-old musician mentioned that he is currently not in the country and wondered if he is supposed to fly back to Nigeria to receive the fan in Lagos.

He wrote,

“In as much as I appreciate you all. I see no reason why anyone will encourage anyone to walk from Abeokuta to lagos !! It is unhealthy! It is risky!! It is stressful!!

WHAT EXACTLY IS THE REASON?

I DO NOT SUPPORT IT !!

I am not even available.
Or are you saying I should fly back to Nigeria to come and wait at Lagos express way ?

It makes no sense !!

I don’t want to encourage it and have more people doing it and getting their lives in danger.

There are better ways to celebrate people!”

Taking to the comment section, a follower advised Frank to reward the fan financially but he blatantly refused.

One Chinasa Ogbonna wrote, “Sir acknowledge him appreciate him maybe his doing it again to get something from you it’s maybe love also , we love you sir🙏”

In response, Frank wrote,

“Chinasa Ogbonna I will Not . I have been giving to people here and they did nothing of such to get Favour’s from me.

If you know me WHEN I SAY NO!! Just forget it.”
