Controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has stated that it has reached the point where he will speak.
Yul Edochie made news when he announced his second marriage to Judy Austin, a colleague, and revealed they have a child together.
On social media, the news prompted fury, with many criticizing his decision to marry a second wife.
However, reacting to the backlash during an Instagram live session with Music executive, Paul Okoye, Yul said a lot of people dragging him do not know the root of the matter. He reiterated that there’s a reason for his action, but he’ll not share it to avoid people seeing his wife, May, as a bad person.
In a recent development, Yul, who earlier stated that he’d not share his story, said it has now reached the point where he’s willing to speak up.
According to him, although silence is good its not always the best answer.
“Silence is good. But it’s certainly not always the best answer.” He wrote on his Instagram page.
Meanwhile, Yul’s first wife, May has stated unequivocally that her faith and family do not practice Polygamy.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote,
I sincerely want to appreciate everyone for the tremendous love, prayers and support from all over the world. It has really been overwhelming. You have all been an incredible pillar of strength during this trying period.
My phones are buzzing once again due to the OLD video trending online today. My family and faith ABSOLUTELY do NOT practice polygamy, although it works for some people.
God has blessed me with a beautiful and loving family. I need you all to continue to keep me and my family in your prayers.
