Actor and media personality, Oluwaferanmi Adeyemi, popularly known as Yhemo Lee, has recounted how he assisted Afrobeats star, Asake in meeting Olamide.

The nightlife king claimed that he and Asake have been friends for almost 13 years and when Olamide signed him it was an unbelievable moment.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Yhemo Lee described how he begged the YBNL boss to give Asake a chance.

He claimed that when he made a single with DanDizzy and YKB, Baddo heard the track, liked it, and reached out.

He claims that Olamide initially requested DanDizzy’s contact expressing the desire for them to work together and that it was during the course of their online interaction that he spoke out in favor of Asake.

Yhemo Lee said he was only hoping for Olamide to bless Asake with a verse and not expecting a record deal.

He claimed that after a few conversations, Olamide asked him to send an audio clip which he promptly recorded before sending it back to Yhemo.

He stated that Olamide began discussing promotions and that two days later he disclosed his interest in signing Asake to YBNL.

The promoter claimed that after going home, he went directly to Olamide’s house, where the contract was waiting for them and Asake signed the forms on the same day.
