“I did it for popularity. Please forgive me” – Man apologizes to comedian AY Makun, as he admits making false accusations and slandering his name (Video)

A Sierra Leone-based Nigerian man named Agozi Samuel has publicly apologized to comedian AY Makun after making false and defamatory allegations against him.

In a video shared online, he confessed that he had made such allegations against the comedian solely for the purpose of gaining attention and clout.

He revealed that he had been posting content on social media in an attempt to make money, but none of his posts had generated the desired income.

Frustrated, he resorted to defaming celebrities, including AY Makun, with the intention of generating more traction for his videos and increasing his chances of making money.

Recognizing the gravity and implications of his actions, he appealed to AY Makun for forgiveness.

He expressed remorse for his behavior and assured the comedian that he had since deleted the defamatory videos from his Instagram page.

While the public apology is a step towards reconciliation, it remains to be seen how AY Makun will respond to Agozi’s plea for forgiveness.

The video has made rounds on social media and left netizens amused at his actions, with many claiming his apology isn’t sincere and he should face the law.
