A lady identified as Maryam Muh’d Liman passed away just eleven days after her wedding.
Idris Elmustapha Daja, the woman’s husband, took to Facebook to announce the death of his wife to family, friends, and colleagues. She passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, after they were married on January 6, 2023, in Niger State.
He wrote;
“We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.
11 days of Marriage, i lost her today”
Following a funeral prayer on Wednesday morning at Hajia Fatima Madugu’s home on Okada Road in Minna, Maryam was buried at the Gbakungu burial site.
In other news, 33-year-old woman, Nadia Joseph-Gosine, died suddenly on the morning of her dream wedding to her partner of five years.
It was gathered that Nadia, from Beckton, had travelled to Trinidad to get married to her fiancé, Devon Gosine, when she passed away in her sleep due to liver failure.
The mother of one, who was in Trindad with her 10-year-old son, Emari, had arrived a few weeks earlier in preparation for her big day, but died just hours before her wedding while sleeping next to her fiancé.

“She just wanted to be happy. A little fire cracker. She was very beautiful. Absolutely stunning. And she loved life, loved to travel.”, her sister said.
Nadia’s heartbroken fiancé, Devon, described her in a phone conversation with MyLondon as “the most loving, caring, and genuine person” and the love of his life.
“She was the love of my life. She was always the best part of my life.’ I can’t stop being reminded of what happened. Seeing everything and still I’m in disbelief. After all that time we were finally getting married. We were preparing for the rest of our life and all of a sudden it gets taken away.
