Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage refuses to back down on prior statements which ruffled the feathers of many online.
The Afrobeats star had recently been in an interview with Beat FM, where she declared in terms of talent and skills she could confidently place herself among the top in the Nigerian music industry.
She said;
“Don’t get me started. If we want to go talent for talent, mic for mic, I’m the big one.”
This was after the interviewer had asked her if she should be part of the big three of Nigerian music.
Unfortunately, her bold declaration did not sit well with many, especially fans of male Nigerian artists. Many started criticizing her online, calling her proud and saying she had no basis for her statement.
Unbothered by the dissenting voices, Tiwa refused to back down, uploading stunning photos of herself on her Instagram page with the caption;
“I said what I said. Big T.”
Fans were mesmerized by her visuals and proceeded to agree with her, with the majority affirming that;
“she is whatever she says she is”
