In a guest appearance on the Afrobeat Podcast, featuring on the latest episode of the Podcast hosted by Adesope 1Da Banton shared insights into his partnership with the renowned musician.
During the interview, 1Da Banton opened up about the inspiration that led him to pursue a career in music.
He then delved into his contributions to Davido’s songs, unveiling that he was the mastermind behind the captivating lyrics of “No Competition.”
In addition to his lyrical prowess, 1Da Banton disclosed his involvement in the production of “Na Money,” a track by Davido featuring “The Cavemen” and Grammy-winning Beninese vocalist Angelique Kidjo.
“I produced Davido’s ‘Na Money’ with Cavemen and wrote ‘No Competition’ featuring Asake,” 1Da Banton proudly shared.
Banton also revealed that popular skit maker and singer, Nasboi, inspired him to do music while he was dating his sister.
“My older sister’s ex-boyfriend, Nasboi inspired me to make music,” he added.
