Five Star Music is celebrating their fans this Christmas season.
Today, the label record’s front line artiste, Kcee, took to his Instagram to announce that they would be distributing branded bags of rice and cartons of tomatoes to fans at different locations in Lagos.
“Christmas means giving,” the Limpopo singer began. “The father gave his son and his son gave his life . Without giving they will be no Christmas.”
He continued, “In the spirit of the season and in no particular order I will be coming to a street near you tomorrow within Lagos axis to share some bags of rice and tomatoes courtesy of Five star music limited.”
This comes at a time Nigerians are moaning the high cost of food items, especially rice, which retail price doubled due to the present recession tightening its choke on the economy. To help families during this festive period, the Lagos State Government launched the LAKE Rice and stated that the 50kg bag would sell for N12,000, while the 25kg would go for N6, 000.
And while Lagosians scurry to get the bags, Kcee and his team at Five Star Music, knowing that rice is a necessary staple during festive periods, have stepped in to help those who may not be able to afford a bag.
“It is our own little way of saying thank you for all the love and support over the years,” Kcee says of their motive. “Merry xmas to you my dear friends.”
