All thanks to controvesial OAP, Daddy Freeze, the topic, “Tithing” has become a controversial issue on social media, since then, the OAP urged anyone to come at him with Bible verses and evidences from the Holy Book, The Bible.
Now, a Journalist and an IT expert, Eniola Idris, has written an open letter to the OAP. In the letter titled, ‘For you, OAP freeze, I am of the opinion that you don’t even have a match stick information about tithing’. he wrote;
I don’t like to delve into religious affairs, but my spirit keeps telling me to write about it to clearify things.
What is Tithe?
According to the dictionary, TITHE is the one tenth of annual produce or earnings,formerly taken as a tax for the support of the church and clergy.
According to the Holy Bible,which i believe in and have so much regard for, Malachi 3, verse 8-11, has a heading which says DO NOT ROB GOD. Verse 8 says “Will a man rob me? Yet you have robbed me! But you say,in what way,have we robbed you? In tithes and offerings.
Verse 9 says You are cursed with a curse,for you have robbed me,Even this whole nation.
Verse 10 says Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,That there maybe food in my house,and try me now in this, says the lord of hosts” if i will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there maybe enough room to receive it.
Verse 11 says And i will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,so that he will not destroy the fruits of your ground nor shall the vine fail to bear fruits for you in the field.
For you, OAP Freeze, I am of the opinion that you dont even have a match stick information about tithing. I think you need a camping, some form of divine revelation about the secrets of GOD.
My bible has it in Luke Chapter 19, Verse 41 and 42 that Jesus Christ saw the city and wept over it saying if you had known,even you,especially in your day,the things that make for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
You see spiritual things are tangible! Jesus wept over the ignorance of men!!! Thats why the Bible says my people perish for lack of knowledge, You see God cannot help you beyond what you know about him. This plaque called Ignorance is what the devil is using to fight people even some believers.Yes I say so!!!
You need deep enough knowledge about tithing before delving into it. Let me put it this way. Imagine a security man advising you about your health,what drugs and foods you ought to take to treat ulcer? Does he have enough information on this subject matter? NO he doesnt! You need to see a qualified and experienced medical doctor,else you find yourself in the mortuary!
Consider KPMG hiring a professional caterer to audit her clients books? Haven’t they taking valium 5? Havent they lost that client? Ofcourse YES. Consider yourself hiring a shoe shinner on the street to develop an application for your business? Havent you failed? SURE BANKER!!
You see, you have to give what belongs to ceaser to ceaser,you need enough information on any subject matter to have a hold on it.
Lets relate this to legal matters. Do you know there are LAWYERS and there are lawyers? What distinguishes them? The level of information they have on the subject matter of ‘law’
I tell you this,there are different kinds of light.There is a light from a match stick. There is another one from a candle stick. There is another one from a lantern.
My question now is this, of what effect is a match stick light or a candle light or a lantern in a multipurpose hall in the night? Almost no effect! You need a flood light in this kind of multi purpose hall.Relating this to tithing, OAP freeze, you need flood information on tithing before you delve into religious matters.

OAP Freeze u need divine help. Because even d devil knows The Bible but one need divine help to understand what the holy spirit is saying.
Have called those people posting nonsense about there limited knowledge to oral discussion not copy n paste but they won’t. I hope you are keeping all the laws in the books of Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy which of course include grain offering, sin offering, fellowship offering, burnt offering and so on.
I believe to go to the temple in Jerusalem to carry out all these offerings in the presence of Aaron’s descendants.
I also hope to stone to death every adulteress and all the disobedient people according to the law just to name a few.

Mr, you haven’t said anything o. Who are following? The old testament or Jesus?
If you are a follower of Moses, then you ought to obey every single thing the old testament commands and as regards tithes, you must do it the way God commanded.
…not money but food…not monthly but yearly and at the end of every three years…to be given to levites who obviously are from the tribe of Levi in Israel not random preachers…in the place where the Lord God has put his name…(Deut 14:22-29). Anything outside this is utter disobedience.
If you are a follower of Christ Jesus, where, when and how was tithing collected in his time? When he himself didn’t receive because he wasn’t from the tribe of Levi neither did he command or teach his disciples to do so. No one gave him or his disciples any tithes. Instead, the apostles shared with one another so that none had needs (Acts 2:44-45, Acts 4:32)
So oga, where did you get your own from? We all know that Jesus is the end of the law and he is the author and perfecter of our faith. He is the one we should look up to.
You see that Luke that you quoted eh? The ignorance part eh? It refers to you and people like you who have refused to look up to Jesus and the author and perfecter of our faith but have chosen to put so called men of God as God in your lives. You have refused to search and study the Scriptures to show yourselves approved…
The Bible tells us in 1 John 4:1 that we should not believe every spirit but test the spirits to know which is from God because many false prophets have gone into the world.
To test, you must question. After questioning, you search the Scriptures and you’ll find answers. But if you don’t question, how can you know?
So dear brother, you have obviously failed woefully to show how and where it was practiced in Jesus and the apostles time.
My advice to you and people like you is to study your Bibles and trust the Holy Spirit for understanding. Stop looking up to man!

Again I should add that just because there are testimonies of blessings by tithers doesn’t mean that they come from God. The fact that it is based on falsehood (in the sense that the tithing practiced today has no Scriptural backing) and in disobedience ( in the sense that it is completely different from what and how God commanded it) is enough evidence to show that God isn’t in it.
Let God be true and every man a liar (Romans 3:4).
Remember in Jeremiah 44, the people of Israel said that it was when they were offering sacrifices to the queen of heaven that they received more blessing..(Blessing in disobedience is not from God)
Same in Psalms 73. The writer was angry that the wicked were prospering even more than the righteous till he had that one on one communion with God and he was shown their end.
The point? Just because there are positives from negatives doesn’t mean that God is in it.

3 What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness?
4 Not at all let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:

Falsehood in the name of God even if it brings glory to him results in condemnation.
My dear lady(#The_lady) maybe you should rip out the old testament from your bible….you should also start stealing, killing and committing adultery fornication etc since it is all contained in the law…I believe you’ll tell me that Jesus will pardon you d way he did with the woman caught in adultery.
And to all, I’ll add this piece; If you believe that you got all you have by your power (Deut 8:17) den I have no business with you….but if you believe like Deut 8:18 says that God gave youd power you had to make wealth den I see no reason you should have difficulty in given one tenth of this wealth in his house and to his work rather than to clubs and to get VIP seats in shows…. I just will add this tho, no man can covict another, it is the Spirit of truth that does that… on that great day, there’ll surely be gnashing of teeth…I pray tho that by his sufficient grace none of us hear will be a part of them gnashing their teeth and wailing had I known.

Dear brother, no one is saying the old testament should be ripped. It is there to remind us where we are coming from. My point is we are no longer in the old dispensation by in the dispensation of grace where Jesus is the end of the law.
Which means we are looking up to Jesus now! And in case you didn’t notice Jesus upgraded the law hence the need to release grace. So in the old testament while the stoning of an adulteress was based on the testimony of two or more witnesses, Christ would later tell us in the book of Matthew that looking at a woman lustfully is adultery.
Which one is more difficult? The former would have no consequence if no witness was provided but the latter is actually between man and God. Obviously man cannot lie to God.
I had to explain this, so you could understand. However as regards tithing, if you insist on giving, do it the way the Lord your God has commanded. If not you are being disobedient.
And if you want to give at all, give to the needy. No where in the Scripture does it say we should give to the rich to tap annionting. That is falsehood, covetousness and greed at its peak

Even the dictionary defines Tithe as the tenth of income for the Church. Today, someone wants to separate TITHE from CHURCH. Haba!
That’s devil’s latest agenda.
Maybe, the next time, he will tell people to stop going to Church because Church never existed in Jesus days.
