A woman has shared how her husband told his family members he was imp0tent to shield her from the pressures of infertility.
For five years, the married couple had been praying, hoping, visiting hospitals, getting tested and spending money that they did not have, just so they would be able to get pregnant. Eventually, it was confirmed that the wife had a medical condition and her healing would take time. “that period br0ke me”, the woman said. Not just because of the diagnosis but because of how people treated her.
The husband’s family mocked her and pressured that he take another woman for a wife. This made her cry in silence, and she felt like a failure before the man that she loved. But despite the pressure and her self-loathing, her husband chose to cover her. When the family confronted him, he told them that he was the one with the issue and not his wife. While at it, he encouraged and prayed with her.
“Through it all, I realized what true partnership can look like, support that doesn’t disappear under pressure. Please keep us in your prayers”, she concluded.
