Popular Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, better known as Odumodublvck has revealed that his family’s failure to raise N70,000 was the reason behind his father’s death.

His remarks follow Eedris Abdulkareem’s assertion that he laid the groundwork for Afrobeats artists Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid to achieve success in the music business.

Taking to his Twitter account, Odumodublvck reminisced about his early years as a budding musician.

He claimed that his family was poor; they were unable to pay the N70,000 required to reserve a bed for their ailing father.

The hip-hop musician disclosed that they were forced to bring him home to pass away. He attributed his difficult life experiences to the fact that he is adamant that no musician has helped him achieve success in music.

Although Odumodu acknowledged that other rappers had influenced him, he maintained that no musician had set him on the path.

Odumodublvck wrote:

“When my father died my family was poor. We could not pay hospital bed space of 70k [N70,000]. We had to take him home.

Coming to tell me about paving the way for me? That’s God, brother. No use your ego counter reason my reality, bros. I agree say you inspire me. But bros, you pave the way for nobody. Nobody! I hate when n*ggas try to play God.”
