A picture serving rounds on social media captures the moment a young boy who hawks ‘pure water’ was signing on the shirt of a new graduate.
The picture has stirred up emotions in the hearts of netizens as they praised the graduate for his humility and selflessness.
The student had written his final exams and as the custom in Nigeria, he wore a white shirt for his colleagues, friends and loved ones to sign on it with markers as he bids farewell to the university.
It was during this process that the hawker reportedly approached him and requested to sign on his shirt, the final year student agreed and knelt down while the young boy signed.

A Newlywed Nigerian woman had almost all hair fall off on Wednesday, March 10th after she allegedly used a fake relaxer.
The unidentified woman walked into a salon with a popular brand of relaxer to retouch her hair, however, moments after the relaxer was applied to her hair it left her with a swollen scalp severe burns.
It was gathered that the woman who was in severe pain was rushed to the hospital after her hair had fallen off.
A Kano-based perfume vendor who shared the unfortunate incident of Facebook wrote,

The girlfriend of Twitter influencer, Tunde popularly known as Tuneri, who allegedly committed suicide yesterday, March 10th, has taken to Twitter to mourn him.
Tunde reportedly took his own life one day after he took to popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to say he needs money badly.
The girlfriend of the deceased, Adetola, has now taken to the platform to mourn his demise. Lamenting, she revealed she spoke to Tunde on the phone before taking a nap only to wake up to the news of his death.
Narrated how the news was broken to her she stated that she received a call and the caller was asking for her man’s password. When she asked why the caller can’t just ask Tunde himself for the password, she was told that he has died.
She tweeted,
“I was supposed to see you after my exam today. So you mean to tell me that when I see you , I can’t cuddle you? Tunde we had plans o, We knew it was hard but we were always pulling through.
Called this man before I took my afternoon nap, and he couldn’t just allow me wake up? Sighs
My hype man has left me to be doing madness in this world alone. How? Nobody to do Cake shopping with me again? Nobody to bring me food and force me to eat? Nigerians prevent man from committing suicide on Jibowu Bridge in Lagos (video)
There was pandemonium on the Jibowu bridge in Lagos on Wednesday, March 10th, as concerned Nigerians tried to stop a depressed man from committing suicide.
The young man climbed the bridge and threatened to jump down to the ever-busy junction under the bridge, when well-meaning Nigerians rallied round him to stop him.
The now viral video captured the moment passers by who were close by, stopped the depressed Nigerian young man from taking his life.

This is coming after a 26-year-old man identified as Sarki Abdul, allegedly committed suicide in Plateau State by drinking a poisonous substance suspected to be sniper.
The incident happened at Dilimi area of Jos North on Sunday, February 21, two days after the Bauchi Poly graduate reportedly told his sister that he was fed up with the world.
A source close to the family told Nigerian Tribune that Sarki borrowed a sum of N300,000 from his childhood friend to invest in his scrap business with a promise to pay the money back in three weeks time.
It was learnt that the deceased ran into a problem and could not pay back the money as promised but refused to tell his friend about his predicament.
According to the source, Abdul suddenly withdrew to himself and started acting in a strangely, adding that two days before he took the drastic step, he told his sister that he was fed up with this world and preferred to die.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women, affecting 2.1 million women each year. It is also responsible for the greatest number of cancer-related deaths among women.
So, the important question is, “Can breast cancer be prevented? If yes, how?”
Exercising regularly
This is a no-brainer; the best way to stay healthy is to exercise regularly. Adults should indulge in up to 300 minutes of moderate and 150 minutes of high-intensity workout every week. Even though it is not obvious as to how much physical activity reduces the chances of breast cancer, but there is a growing pile of evidence that suggests that regular exercise may reduce the risk of contracting breast cancer by 10-20%
Managing weight and diet
There exists a complex relationship between an individual’s weight and the risk of contracting breast cancer. Before a woman reaches menopause, most of her estrogen demand is fulfilled by the ovaries, but after menopause, the ovaries stop producing estrogen, and therefore, to compensate, estrogen is produced from fat tissue. Thus, being overweight after menopause can increase the chances of contracting breast cancer. Obesity can increase the risk of contracting a variety of other cancers as well, including that of colon, endometrium, esophagus, pancreas, and kidney. Also, if a person has previously suffered from cancer and then becomes obese, chances of recurrence increase.
Eating healthy goes a long way in maintaining proper weight as well. We must try to include a variety of foods in our diet, including fruits, green leafy vegetables, and foods rich in calcium, antioxidants, and vitamin D . It has also been found that eating excessive quantities of red meat or consuming red meat regularly might also trigger the onset of cancer.
Avoid consuming alcohol and tobacco
Alcohol and tobacco consumption are directly related to breast cancer. It has been found that consuming 1 drink a day increases the risk of breast cancer by 7% to 10% and consuming 2 to 3 drinks a day increases the risk to 20%. The risk further increases with the amount of alcohol consumed. Smoking regularly may also lead to breast cancer. One must try to avoid both alcohol and smoking altogether and if that is not possible, these things should be consumed in very small quantities on certain occasions only.
Having children at the right time
Women who get pregnant below the age of 30 and deliver on the due date are at a reduced risk of contracting breast cancer. Women who are past the age of 30 and do not have children or have their first child after the age of 30 are at an increased risk of breast cancer. Many independent researchers have corroborated that early pregnancy or having many pregnancies can reduce the risk of breast cancer.
Breastfeeding
In a study conducted by the Collaborative Group on Human Hormonal Factors in Breast Cancer, it was found that for every year that a woman breastfed, her likelihood of contracting breast cancer dropped by 4.3%. In another research conducted by Australian researchers, it was found that women who breastfed for 13 months or more were 63% less likely to contract ovarian cancer than women who breastfed for less than 7 months.
Family planning and birth control
Women should be wary before choosing their method of contraception because some birth control pills contain hormones, which might increase the risk of breast cancer. Using OCP (Oral Contraceptive Pill) after the age of 30 and for less than 5 years might not increase the risk of breast cancer, but continuous use below that age might increase the risk of breast cancer.
Exposure to carcinogens
Certain carcinogenic chemicals might increase the risk of breast cancer among women especially among women who work in the packaging and construction industry. These chemicals may end up disrupting the functioning of the endocrine gland and may lead to the development of breast cancer. Although not all these situations can be avoided, certain situations can be handled better. For instance, wearing N95 masks inside the factory premises and choosing cosmetic products carefully may help reduce the risk of breast cancer.

To ease vehicular traffic within the state secretariat, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state has procured bicycles the civil servants working in the secretariat will use to move within the premises.
The bicycles were delivered to the secretariat on Tuesday, March 9.

As expected, mixed reactions trailed the announcement but a Twitter user identified as ‘Omo Ibadan’ gave a cogent reason why the purchase was required.
He wrote ;
Those bicycles are just for easy access to offices within the premises of the secretariat and not to be taken home. If you have walked from Governor’s office to the printing press, you will understand that it isn’t a small journey.

Popular music executive cum blogger, Ubi Franklin, has advised men to move on once their girlfriend turns down their marriage proposal.
He stated this while reacting to a viral video of the embarrassing moment a lady rejected her boyfriend’s engagement ring in public.
Ubi asserted that if the lady eventually agrees and the man goes ahead to marry her, the marital union will not work. The media personality added that he has been in a similar situation.
There are speculations that Ubi was referring to his failed marriage with his ex-wife and mother of his son, Lilian Esoro.
