The British Royal family has reacted to the explosive interview given by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
During the interview which aired on March 7, the couple made allegations of racism within the palace and a lack of support from the royal family over mental health issues and media intrusion.
Today, March 9, at about 5:30 p.m. London time, the palace issued a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth.
The statement reads: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
“Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Kimberly Monick Ebohon, a 28-year-old Nigerian-Philippine woman recently discovered her Edo father died years ago, after she took to social media to search for him.
The woman had taken to Facebook few days ago, March 3rd, in search of her father, Andrew Joseph Ide Ebohon who worked as researcher and Missionary in the Philippines in the early 90s.
Monick shared the only photo she has of her dad, which was already faded. However, netizens helped in the search, as her post was widely shared by Facebook users particularly those from Edo state.

On Saturday, March 7, the mother of two revealed that she has located her paternal family but sadly her father passed on some years ago.
She thanked everyone for their help and expressed her desire to visit her father’s relative in Nigeria some day.

“Thank you so much to all of you in guiding and helping me on my journey in finding me dad. I am so happy and thankful that I found the relatives of my dad even though I got the information from them that my dad has died,” she said.

This is coming three weeks after the singer had a botched concert in Cameroon.
According to music journalist, Joey Akan, some musicians indigenous to Cameroon made a case against the ‘Koleyewon’ crooner to ensure the concert was cancelled after venues had been changed up to three times.

The US State Department has said most US visa applicants, who were denied because of former President Donald Trump’s travel ban on 13 mostly Muslim-majority and African countries, can seek new decisions or submit new applications.
President Joe Biden overturned Trump’s travel ban on his first day in office, Jan 20.
On Monday, March 8, the US State Department spokesman, Ned Price, said applicants who were refused visas before Jan. 20, 2020, must submit new applications and pay a new application fee.
According to a Reuters report, Price said those who were denied on or after Jan. 20, 2020, may seek reconsideration without re-submitting their applications and do not have to pay additional fees.

When Mum came to visit my sister and I in the USA, we took her to visit her brother. Everything in his house was white, even the dogs. He rushed us out of the house to a restaurant.
Next day he had changed his number. Years later when Mum had cancer, My uncle came to my home. He seemed shocked and commented that he thought we would live in the projects. Inside Africa was on TV, he was shocked Kenya had a stock market. When mum died, he did not call.
We grew up with the love of our father family, oblivious to the issues. My mother built a great life, educated thousands, did so much for community. She took in orphans, cared for so many. She was very gentle, calm and kind. When she visited the US, it was as an African.
I remember when her father died, they told her days later. Mum locked herself in a room and cried for two weeks. That was when I finally realized the pain, the suffering, the sacrifice she had endured all those years. I came to respect her incredible strength and resilience.
When we fall in love, we may do so with people who don’t look like us, who come from different far away places; who practice different religions; who are from different cultures. Marriage is a great bridge. Lets try to be more understanding, tolerant, kind & let love win.
Our aunt was the one family member who was very loving. I think it was hard for her to deal with both sides. She did tell me that she regretted never visiting her sister in Kenya. It must have been hard for her too, because she really adored her sister.
In the later years, Mum visited her sister several times and they shared a lot of joy and laughter. My aunt remained close to me until her death. I remember visiting and meeting her for the first time (since I was 2) after mums death. She looked and acted so much like her.

A Nigerian man has taken to Twitter to share his joy as he finally graduates after spending 9 years in the university.
The latest university graduate identified as @yhem_hi on Twitter shared the chronological process of how his university education went.
According to him, he had his Pre-degree program for a year, 100 level for 2 years, 200 level for 2 years, 300 level for a year, 400 level for a year, and 500 level for 2 years, amounting to 9 years.
