Award winning Nigerian singer, Wizkid paid respect to legendary singer, Innocent Idibia better known as 2baba at the 14th Headies award ceremony.
The 14th edition of Headies, the Nigerian music awards show held to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry, held in Lagos on Sunday, February 21st.
In the bid to observe Covid-19 safety guidelines, only few artiste were present at the event. One of the few artistes who graced the event are Wizkid, and legendary singer, 2baba.
Wizkid who was awarded the artiste of the year and the Viewers’ Choice Award at the 14th edition of the Headies, on seeing the veteran singer went to him and prostrated as a sign of respect.
In a video serving rounds online, Wizkid prostrated to greet Tubaba, who in turn patted him.

In other news, Popular Nigerian singer 2Baba has allayed the fears of his fans that he is retiring from music anytime soon.
Recall the singer shared a video on his Instagram page showing his big farmland in Benue.
After he shared the video, some fans feared that he was stylishly announcing his retirement from the Nigerian music scene.
2Baba’s mangaer, Efe Omorogbe in an interview with Punch revealed that the singer was only increasing his business empire and does not have the intention of exiting the music scene anytime soon.
Michy, the ex-girlfriend of popular Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale has shared her regrets over being in a relationship with him.
According to the 27-year-old she wasted her youthful age with the dancehall musician, noting that she could have achieved an enviable feat if she had focused on her schooling and abandoned Wale’s budding dream at a young age.

A man identified as Kadir is on the run after he allegedly stabbed his younger brother, Suleiman to death in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
It was gathered that trouble started on Friday morning, February 19, when Suleiman scolded Kadir’s wife for being rude to their mother.
Kadir, who was not home when the altercation happened, confronted his younger brother for daring to rebuke his wife when he returned. Their mother was said to have intervened and settled the quarrel between the two siblings.
However, not satisfied, Kadir was said to have revisited the issue later in the day and once again, their mother stepped in and calmed the situation.
Suleiman was said to have put the matter behind him and went about his normal business. Kadir later traced him to where he went to late in the evening, allegedly stabbed him and fled.
Suleiman was rushed to the hospital on Friday night where he died on Saturday morning from the injury he sustained during the attack.
Spokesperson of the Edo State Police Command, Princewill Osaigbovo, who confirmed the incident said that the victim died at the St. Jude Hospital, where he was rushed to for medical attention.

Nigerian rap artiste, Vector has shared his thoughts on how collaborative efforts in the Nigerian music industry can yield positive results.
In an interview with The Beat 99.9Fm and uploaded on the radio station’s YouTube channel, the ”King Kong” crooner was asked about how he felt regarding the togetherness that was displayed by Nigerians during the #EndSars.
In his response, Vector said the music industry players need to communicate more because great things can be achieved if all come together.
He also spoke on the impact on a joint concert between Wizkid and Davido, which he says could lead to the Wembley stadium being filled.
In his words;
“Boom, I learned this in school in Unilag that the average African mind is based on communalism. We are a community that is why it is said that it takes the whole community to raise a child.

Nigerian rapper, CDQ Olowo was not entirely happy with the outcome of the awards given at the 14th edition of the Headies and he took to his social media page to voice his frustration.
CDQ accused the organizers of engaging in ‘Industry Politics’ after his colleague, Naira Marley missed out on the Street Hop award.
CDQ opined that Naira deserved it as he had a fantastic 2019/20 which was the year in review.

Every year an average of 30 corps members are posted to MERCY TV to serve in different departments as their Primary Assignment. The church provides accommodation and salary for them and at the end of their service year, Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin blesses them with an additional financial rewards.

The Nigerian Air Force has released the names of the seven personnel that perished in the military aircraft that crashed in Abuja today February 21.
According to a statement released by AVM Ibikunle Daramola, the Director of Public Relations and Information, the deceased personnel include;
a. Flight Lieutenant Haruna Gadzama (Captain).
b. Flight Lieutenant Henry Piyo (Co-Pilot).
c. Flying Officer Micheal Okpara (Airborne Tactical Observation System (ATOS) Specialist).
d. Warrant Officer Bassey Etim (ATOS Specialist).
e. Flight Sergeant Olasunkanmi Olawunmi (ATOS Specialist).
f. Sergeant Ugochukwu Oluka (ATOS Specialist).
g. Aircraftman Adewale Johnson (Onboard Technician).
Daramola said the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Vice Marshal Oladayo Amao, has instituted an investigative panel to determine the remote and immediate causes of the accident.

A plane crash has occurred in Abuja and sadly, it is fatal.
The aircraft was identified as a Military plane and it crashed near Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, amidst reports that there were no survivors.
Aviation minister Hadi Sirika confirmed the development in a short statement on Twitter Sunday afternoon.

“A military aircraft King Air 350 has just crashed short of our Abuja runway after reporting engine failure enroute Minna. It appears to be fatal. We should remain calm & wait for the outcome of investigation by the military, while we pray for the departed soul/souls if any.”

A Twitter user, who claimed to be friends with Terry Apala’s girlfriend, has shared a video of the singer pants down in bed with his alleged cousin.
The Twitter user with handle @Premiumbabygyal called out the singer for allegedly jilting his pregnant girlfriend and cheating on her with the lady, he claimed to be his cousin.
Premiumbabyghal alleged that the singer has been avoiding his girlfriend since he discovered that she is pregnant.

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama has said that the President of Benin Republic, Patrice Talon had expressed the desire of his country to be part of Nigeria as a 37th state.
Speaking after a close door meeting with Beninoise Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Aurélien Agbenonci, Onyeama said the Beninoise president made the offer when he visited President Muhammadu Buhari a few weeks back.
In Geoffrey’s words ;
“The President of Benin said as far as they are concerned, they want (not just saying it like that) but in reality, Benin should be the 37th state of Nigeria.
“We should really be one. They charged us to come together at ministerial level, to work out a framework for a sustainable relationship.”
Onyeama further disclosed that both presidents also discussed agreements between the two countries to put the issue of smuggling to an end once and for all.
Reality TV star, Leo Da Silva has reacted to the latest report of Hushpuppi being charged with laundering funds for hackers and bank robbers from North Korea.
The Justice Department in a detailed statement released on Friday, February 19, alleged that Hushpuppi took part in a “North Korean-perpetrated cyber-enabled heist from a Maltese bank in February 2019.” According to the statement, his role was as a collaborator with a North Korean money launderer, Ghaleb Alaumary, 37, based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
The report has generated an uproar on social media and the former BBNaija housemate has also weighed in on the issue.
In reaction, Leo wondered how one will be working with the North Koreans and still be living an extravagant life on social media. He further added that if the new charges stick, he will be with grandkids before Hushpuppi is released from prison.

“It’s hilarious how you will be laundering money for North Koreans and still be living lavish for the gram. I now see why they did all they can to get him from Dubai. If those charges stick, I will be with grandkids before he gets out.”

Meanwhile, Nigerian singing sensation, Wizkid‘s 3rd baby mama and former manager, Jada Pollock recently to social media to celebrate him following his incredible live performance on YouTube.
Jada who showered praises on the self acclaimed star-boy, stated that she had butterflies in her tummy while she watched the father of her son, deliver such wonderful performance.
Recall that the iconic singer, Ayo Balogun professionally known as Wizkid, performed songs from his latest album “Made in Lagos” with a live band on YouTube on Thursday, November 20th.

A young man, identified as NBA Geeboy on Instagram, has taken a swipe at international music stars, Wizkid and Burna Boy, for constantly showing off their gold teeth.
According to him, he has been wearing Grillz – a fitting made with gold, silver, or diamond worn over one’s teeth, since 2017 when he was 15. He shared a video on Instagram where he berated the singers for being at the level he was in 2017.
He slammed the music legends for flaunting their gold teeth unnecessarily like they are the only ones who can afford one. He also bragged about moving from the level of Gold grillz to Diamond grillz.
Sharing the video, he wrote,
“I been wearing grillz since I was 15 … and I just got my latest $10k VVS diamond grillz from @johnnydangandco . Stop playing wimmie on gaad.”
3 children battered beyond recognition were rescued from a room filled with fetish items and the two women who held them hostage have been arrested in Anambra state.
According to the Anambra state police, the women identified as Rejoice Raymond, 39, and Chidi Felicia Nwafor, 80, were arrested by police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Station Nkwelle.
Following intelligence report, on Friday, Feb 19, police stormed their address at NO.13 Akunwanta Mbamalu Street, Federal Housing Estates 3-3 Nkwelle Ezunaka, Anambra state, where they found three children locked up in a room.
The children – 2 boys and a girl – were badly bruised and were looking malnourished. They had broken bones and were left lying in their blood.
The entire room had blood stains alongside fetish items, including a mortar and multiples pestles, blood stained canes, concoction and more.
In the room, was also found a bucket where the children were made to poop as they were not allowed out of the room.
The children, whose parents are not known, were too battered to speak. They were barely conscious and appeared to be in shock.
According to the Anambra state police, the women had “subjected them into physical and emotional torture without feeding and inflicted several wounds on their body leaving them unconscious.”
The police adds in a statement: “Scene was visited by the DPO 3-3 CSP Abdu Bawa where a gory sights of badly battered victims, one with a broken arm were found in the pool of their blood and whose parents were neither seen nor known.
“Meanwhile,the children were rescued and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
“Preliminary Investigation further revealed some fetish substances, blood stained canes,concoctions and other incriminating items were all recovered inside the rooms and registered as exhibits.”
Some sources allege the women own a ministry but also engage in fetishism, including pounding children in mortar.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police CP Monday Bala Kuryas,fsi has ordered a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case after which suspects would be brought to justice.

Ewatomi Gold, the lady who drew a tattoo of Bobrisky’s face on her back has narrated how she was allegedly assaulted by area boys because of the tattoo.
Recall that Ewatomi took to Instagram to share the video of her getting Bobrisky’s picture tattooed on her back. The controversial crossdresser acknowledged her grand gesture and reposted the video on her official social media page.
Barely a week afterwards, Ewatomi has shared a video of herself crying and claimed that she was nearly stripped naked because of the tattoo.
According to her, she was on her way to see her mum in Ikorodu and was waiting to get a bike when some guys recognized her as the lady who tattooed Bobrisky’s face on her back. She claimed she was physically and verbally assaulted, and nearly stripped naked before passers-by intervened.
