US Defence Lawyers Dump Hushpuppi

The international lawyers representing suspected Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Ray Hushpuppi, have applied to withdraw from his case.

The US Lawyers identified as Gal Pissetzky and Vicki Podberesky said Mr. Abass (Hushpuppi) stopped communicating with them and has retained new lawyers to defend him in the case.

The lawyers reached the decision to withdraw from the case after months of negotiations with the US Government.

According to documents obtained by Premium Times, Mr. Pissetzky and Ms. Podberesky have filed a motion at the United States District Court in California to withdraw from representing Mr. Abass.

The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 30-year-old woman, Hauwa Auwal, who allegedly poured hot water on her husband’s second wife, Sha’awanatu Muhmmad and her four-year-old daughter, Halima Khalid.

The incident happened in Shekara Sabuwar Abuja in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest on Monday, January 25, said police operatives stormed the house after receiving reports of the incident and arrested the culprit.

He added that the victims were rushed to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital for medical treatment.

The mother of the victim, Hajiya Binta Isma’il has appealed to the Kano State Government and well meaning individuals to help pay the medical bills of her daughter and granddaughter.

A Nigerian man, identified as @rsvptemple on Twitter, has taken to the micro-blogging platform to narrate how he gave his senior colleagues a silent warning.

According to him, in the establishment where he previously worked, a lady who happened to be his superior sent him to buy food for her, which infuriated him.

The following day, he decided to drive a G-wagon to the office as a silent warning to the lady and any other senior colleagues who may wish to send him on an errand.
