Sonia, wife of Nigerian footballer, Jude Ighalo, has slammed an Instagram user who inquired about her marital status with the footballer.

She recently held a question and answer session with her followers on Instagram and an inquistive follower chose to ask about her love life.

Recall that there were speculations that their marriage was in crisis after they both purged their Instagram pages of their photos in January 2020.

She also fueled the rumours after she reverted to her maiden name in March 2020.

Although the couple never came out to address the issue, in December 2020, Jude shared Christmas photos of only himself and their three children, which further ignited speculations that they were separated.

Owing to the rumours, the Instagram users who needed clarity on what is really going on in their marital union chose to ask if they are still married.

Sonia was seemingly pissed by the question and she asked nosy people to mind their business.

Popular Nigerian singer and disc jockey, Florence Otedola better known as DJ Cuppy has revealed that she would have been a trader if she weren’t into music.

The billionaire daughter made this shocking revelation in a self-exposé video session she shared on her official Instagram page on Monday, January 25.

To enable her teeming fans know her better, Cuppy provided detailed answers to some questions about her.

While answering questions on what she would have been doing if she weren’t a DJ or a singer, the “gelato” crooner revealed she would have been a trader.

Nigerian music executive, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has been dragged to filth by Nigerians on Twitter for shooting his shot at collaborating with American rapper, Meek Mill.

The rapper tweeted, on Sunday January 24, that he wants his followers to link him up with a young Nigerian artist.

However, because Meek Mill used the word “artist” in his tweet, Davido misinterpreted it to mean a singer, whereas the Dream Chaser Records boss meant a visual artist.

Reacting to the tweet, Davido asked Meek to link up so they can collaborate on a song.

Man Loses His Job For Calling His Mother An Illiterate

A Nigerian man reportedly lost his job with a top PR firm for calling his mum an illiterate.

According to a Twitter user, @Lola Okunrin who shared the sad story on the platform, the young man was on a call with his boss, when the boss heard his mother’s voice and requested to speak with her.

The boss asked to speak with the man’s mum, but he quickly chipped in that his mother is an illiterate and then asked his boss to speak to her in Yoruba.

The young man tagging his mum an “illiterate” angered the boss, who said the man is supposed to speak highly of his mother, and not make derogatory remarks about her.

That little mistake on his part cost him his job, as he was immediately fired.

Pope Francis on Sunday, January 24, prayed for a homeless Nigerian man who died near St. Peter’s Square amid freezing temperatures.

Speaking after the Angelus, the pope led prayers for the 46-year-old Nigerian man identified as Edwin, who was reportedly found dead by volunteers from the Community of Sant’Egidio on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

“Last Jan. 20, a few meters from St. Peter’s Square, a 46-year-old Nigerian homeless man named Edwin was found dead because of the cold,” the pope said.

“His story was added to that of many other homeless people who recently died in Rome in the same dramatic circumstances. Let us pray for Edwin.”

The Pope then recalled a story from the papacy of St. Gregory the Great. When he witnessed the death of a beggar in the cold, the 6th century Pope ordered that all Masses be suspended for a whole day, “because it was Good Friday”

“May we be reminded of the words of St. Gregory the Great, who, when faced with the death of a mendicant from cold, said that Masses would not be celebrated that day because it was like Good Friday.”

“Let us think about Edwin. Let us think of what this man, 46 years old, felt in the cold, ignored by all, abandoned, even by us. Let us pray for him.”

According to the news website RomaToday, Edwin was the fourth homeless person to die this year in Rome, where there are an estimated 8,000 homeless people. Many sleep along the edge of Bernini’s colonnade, the semi-circular columns enclosing St. Peter’s Square.

Pope Francis gave the Angelus address via livestream in the library of the Apostolic Palace, where the prayer has taken place since a resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic in Italy.

The Nigerian movie sector mourns as one of its very own, veteran, Dan Nkoloagu, popularly known for his herbalist roles, dies.

The popular thespian died on Friday, January 22, after a brief illness at the age of 83.

His son Dan Nkoloagu Jnr, announced his death on Facebook, as he shared a photo of the actor lying dead in a hospital bed.

The deceased actor was a broadcaster before he went into acting career in the late 1990s. He has also starred in more than 20 movie over the years.

Toke Makinwa had taken to her Instagram page to share a photo of herself posing in the snow, noting that she begged her boyfriend to join her to recreate a “Lori and Michael picture in the snow”, but he refused.

Popular Nigerian rapper, Erhiga Agarivbie better known by his stage name Erigga, and his wife, Nikki have welcomed their child, a baby boy.

The excited father took to his verified Instagram page, in the late hours of Saturday, January 23rd to share a video unveiling the addition to his family.

Sharing the good news with his fans and followers, Eriga described the new born as God’s best gift from God and his adorable wife.

In his words, “God you are too much best gift from God and my wife @fabsnikki … una too much una shock me”.

Recall that in October 2020, the rapper officially became a married a man, as he tied the knot with his heartthrob.

Sharing lovely photos from his big day, Erigga wrote,

American rapper, Cardi B reacts after Nigerian fan stripped in public to declare his undying love for her

American rapper, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar professionally known as Cardi B, has reacted to a viral video of a Nigerian fan who publicly declared his love for her.

The fan with Twitter handle @iiampsticks, took to a major road in Nigeria and placed a loud speaker on the middle of the road. Holding a microphone, the young man announced his undying love for the 28-year-old mother of one.

In the viral video, the fan could be seen walking frantically along the road and went as far as stripping down to his shorts as he professed his love for the ‘WAP’ hit maker.

The fan identified as Aburo Davido on Twitter took to the micro-blogging platform to share the video with the caption,

”I love @iamcardib”

The video caught the attention of the Bodak Yellow crooner, who penned an emotional response.

”I love you more”, she wrote.

Singer Naira Marley has reacted to some school children being arrested by Amotekun operatives for modelling themselves as him.

In the video which has gone viral, a lady who is supposedly a teacher in the school described the boys as criminals and also disclosed that they were apprehended in a bush.

Reacting to this, Naira Marley expressed his desire to meet the kids and further described their arrest as “child abuse”. He added that the teachers and security operatives with guns need to be arrested.

The singer wrote;

Guys look what’s happening in stupid Nigeria.

How can you arrest school kids? This is child abuse. The teachers and this stupid uncles with guns need to get arrested.
