Singer, Banky W has called out the Nigerian government for making citizens queue up to get the National Identification Number (NIN) in the middle of a pandemic.

Banky W who described this as “completely reckless, inconsiderate and dangerous”, stated that it is irresponsible to insist on this “mad scramble for NIN numbers” in the middle of the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Someone will ask their fellow human to report a blog posting lies and humans will say they rather continue reading the gossip. Someone will shave their hair for whatever reason and someone else will say they look like a cancer patient. Someone will get skinny, they must have AIDS. Someone will have big stomach, they must be pregnant. Where did this bad behavior come from?

I remember I wrote a post last year about my feelings and problems people close to me were dealing with and humans read it as I was depressed. Some even offered me money thinking I was broke. What is this type of thinking? Who is doing you people?

I don’t have the answers but I hope everyone can find happiness. The world around us doesn’t seem to be getting better so you must create happiness for yourself.

I would love to be a sounding board for anyone that wants to get things off their chest. My DM is open but you have to be very direct and specific. Saying “Hi” will not get you a response. Ilorin driver sentenced to two years imprisonment for spending N2million that was mistakenly transferred into his account

A 45-year-old driver, Adetunji Tunde Oluwasegun, has been sentenced to two years imprisonment for spending a sum N2million that was erroneously transferred into his account.

The Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on Monday, January 18, 2021 arraigned Oluwasegun on a one-count charge bordering on stealing before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.

The offence contravenes Section 286 and punishable under Section 287 of the Penal Code.

The charge reads:

“That you, Adetunji Tunde Oluwasegun, sometime between the month of July, 2020 and 21st of August, 2020 at Ilorin, Kwara State, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court dishonestly took the sum of N2,000,000.00 (Two Million Naira), property of Sherifat Omolara Sanni, which she erroneously transferred to your bank account 0008383333 domiciled with Guaranty Trust Bank plc, without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 286 of the Penal Code and punishable under Section 287 of the same Penal Code”.

The defendant pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him.

Justice Oyinloye found Oluwasegun guilty of the offence and sentenced him to two years imprisonment with a fine of N200, 000 (Two Hundred Thousand Naira).

The judge also ordered the convict to repay to the victim the sum of N2million before he finished serving his jail term.

A Nigerian man identified as, Abas Idaresit reportedly lost his wife and two kids to a fire incident in their home in Lagos.

The sad incident is said to have happened at their home in park view, Ikoyi Lagos.

According to the Twitter user, @ Morris Monye who shared the sad story on the micro-blogging platform, the wife and her two kids lost their lives after they were trapped by a burglary proof in the fire.

The mother, Ijeoma Idaresit and her two children identified as Didi and Risachi have been laid to rest yesterday, Thursday, January 21, 2021.

In other news, a section of the Sokoto Central Market in Sokoto State was gutted by fire in the early hours of Tuesday, January 19.

According to reports, the fire allegedly caused by an electricity generating set started around 5am in the morning.

In the video making rounds on social media, the girl confronted her friend for outing her sexual promiscuity to her boyfriend.

Man allegedly kills his girlfriend for texting another man in Delta state

One Mr. Happyman has been arrested over the murder of his girlfriend, Orie Evusi who was declared missing four days ago.

A police investigation was launched after the deceased who left her home on Sunday January 17, 2021 never returned.

OgharaVoice reported that Orie’s boyfriend who is a commercial motorcyclist (Okada man) was the prime suspect and was allegedly caught attempting to take his own life by drinking a poisonous substance. His neighbours who saw him, rushed him to the hospital after raising an alarm.

Upon being interrogated after regaining consciousness, Happyman said he killed his girlfriend because she was texting another man on her phone.

The Okada man also took police officers to Unoghovo bush where he deposited her corpse.

Erico, aged 72 passed away in Lagos on Tuesday, January 19th.

A relative of the deceased identified as Tomiwa Aghedo, who confirmed the sad news to Goal.com, revealed that the coach complained of stomach ache before he died.

In his words,

“I feel sad informing you that coach Joe Erico passed away [Tuesday].

“He complained of stomach ache yesterday and he was subsequently rushed to the hospital, where he was told to present his Covid-19 test result before he would be attended to.

“Coach Erico went for the test as directed and very early Tuesday morning he passed away. It’s terrible news at this point in time and everyone of us is devastated.

“We are consoled by the fact that he served Nigeria with all his strength and he lived a good life worthy of emulation.”

Nollywood actor, Odunlade Adekola has thrown a surprise birthday package for his colleague and long-time friend, Eniola Ajao.

The versatile actor took to his Instagram to celebrate his friend and showered prayers on her as she turns a new age.

He wrote,

“She is beautiful , talented, wonderful, amazing…….. a lot to say about pretty ENIOLA FLORENCE BOLANLE OMO AJAO. I Pray almighty God will bless your new Age..YEYE ALARA, DR ADUNNI..Keep enjoying the grace of God.”

Odunlade also paid a visit to Eniola’s residence in the company of a surprise team to celebrate with her.

In the video shared via Instagram, the duo were dancing and rejoicing as the instrumentalist played Nigerian indigenous tunes.

He also presented her with customised gift items including a picture frame, throw pillow, mug, etc.
