Popular Kenyan gospel singer, Ringtone Apoko has threatened to quit gospel music if God does not miraculously give him a BMW i8 sports car.
Taking to Instagram, the singer revealed that he has embarked on a 40 days fasting and prayer to acquire his dream car.
Apoko shared a photo of the BMW i8 said to be worth about $147,500 which is also owned by Hollywood actor, and stated that his own “must be yellow”.
The 26-year-old musician, revealed that if after the 40 days fasting and prayer, and God doesn’t blesses him with the BMW i8 sports car, he’ll quit gospel music.
In his words, “IF GOD IS NOT GIVE THIS BMW i8 AFTER MY 40 DAYS OF PRAY N FAST AM QUIT GOSPEL MUSIC I CANT SERVE A GOD WHO ISNT ANSWER MY PRAYINGS 🙏🙏🙏🙏(AND IS MUST BE YELLOW)”.
In another post he wrote,

Reports accompanied with videos and photos reaching us this hour is that of a petrol laden tanker that reportedly fell and burst into flames around IBB Boulevard, opposite GTBank Kuto, Abeokuta.
As at the time of filing this report, the fire service in the state and other officials have arrived at the scene to put out the fire and attend to the incident.
Graphic images and videos show a burnt body laying on the ground as well as burnt up cars. It’s yet to be ascertained whether or not, the occupants of the cars were able to escape the fire.

Popular Nigerian comedian, Owen Gee has criticized the reopening of schools amidst the second wave of covid-19 pandemic.
Owen Gee in an exclusive interview with PUNCH, revealed that his nine-year-old son contracted the novel Coronavirus while in school last term.
The comedian further revealed his wife, and his first son also got infected with COVID while looking after his second son who got diagnosed with the viral disease.
Recounting his family’s experience with Covid-19, he said,
“I have two kids, one is in primary while the other is in secondary school. Last term, one of my kids came home ill and was sick for a while. We kept treating him for malaria but to no avail. We treated him for two weeks till he lost his senses of smell and taste. He had body aches and was excessively weak. It was at that point we discovered he had contracted COVID-19. He was about nine years old at the time.
“My wife and I started taking care of him because we could not abandon him, he is our son. In the process of taking care of him, my wife and I also contracted the virus. It was a war for us, later on, his elder brother contracted the virus
“I couldn’t be separated from my family because going to an isolation center will mean separating us. The psychological damage alone was something else.
“We became a family of four with COVID. We had it at different times so for over a month, we battled with the deadly ailment. It cost a fortune aside the fact that I also got help from well-meaning friends who had contracted it. Some friends also helped in terms of medication and support.”
Owen who expressed concern over the government’s decision to reopen schools despite the second wave of the pandemic in the country, said,
“With the rate at which the figures are going up, give me a reason why they want the schools to reopen?
“In light of what we have faced, I have asked my children to stay at home. Their lives mean more to me than their education. A lot of countries are on lockdown, they are not bothered if their children will go to the next class or not. Nigeria is not the most developed country in the world. We should not act as if education is a do or die affair. We are talking about a virus.
A bucket of water outside the school and hand sanitiser is not enough to prevent children from getting the virus. Because we all have different immunities, I cannot risk the life of my child. I do not support the resumption of schools.”
A native doctor who was invited by some leaders in the community where six children were crushed to death by a speeding car in Uromi, Edo state, has fingered a family member responsible for the death of the kids.
We reported earlier of how a learner driver in the area lost control of his car and swerved to where the kids were said to be playing and killed all 6 of them..
According to a member of the community, Enaholo Abel Enaholo, the native doctor stated that an uncle to one of the children caused the tragic accident because he refused to accept a goat from the child’s mother after a misunderstanding.
He wrote;
“Native Doctor Live in Uromi as is invited to ascertain the cause of the accident that claimed 6 Kids in the town a few days ago. UROMIANS NO GET JOY OO I think the level of value of life here no matter the means with which they decide to use is nice.”

The Uncle to one of the kids is said to be responsible for his death while other kids were unlucky to be with the kid at the time of the incident.

Two brothers had issues because of the younger brother’s wife. The elders told the younger brother’s wife to bring a goat and the elder brother should also bring a goat. The younger brother’s wife brought the goat but her brother-in-law refused to collect the goat so that is why the son was collected in place of the goat. So instead of one child, the 6 kids were collected and labeled as casualties”
The Police Command in Niger State has killed a suspected armed bandit and arrested his 16-year-old female accomplice.
Spokesperson of the command, ASP Wsiu Abiodun, who revealed this in a statement on Monday, January 18, stated that the suspects were arrested with two locally fabricated revolver rifles in Mariga Local Government Area of the state.
“On 13/01/2021 at about 1700hrs, a team of Police operatives/vigilante attached to Bangi division while on routine patrol along Bangi/Wamba road arrested two suspects; one Haruna SNU ‘m’ and Maryam Sani age 16yrs ‘f’ both of Magami village via Gussau Zamfara State with one unregistered Bajaj m/cycle, and two locally fabricated revolver rifles,” said Abiodun.
During interrogation, the said Haruna attempted to escape and was gunned down by the Police. The corpse was later deposited at general hospital Bangi, Mariga LGA.

Deaconess Emerald Udeakaji, the Special Adviser to Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi, on Business Development, has tendered her resignation.

The popular Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe recently advised her followers against believing everything they see on social media.
The 42-year-old mother of two asserted that most people go out of their way to create a false image of themselves, using the word ‘packaging’ to describe it.
Taking to her Instagram account, she advised people not to be intimidated by what they see on social media as they are doing better that those individuals they admire.
Actress Juliet Ibrahim has asked people to stop making women feel less beautiful when they do not look like their favorites who edit their photos or get perfect angled photos.
The mum of one stated this while responding to a fan on Twitter who praised her for not having a protruding stomach. The fan shared the photo above on Twitter with the caption

Juliet spotted his comment and immediately corrected the impression that she doesn’t have a protruding stomach.
”FYI, I do have belle! I have a Natural pot belle oo,and it protrudes every time I eat too much, bloat or stop working out, know why?Because I AM A WOMAN! Stop making women to feel less beautiful when they don’t look like your favorite celebrities edited or perfect angled photos dear” Juliet responded.
The fan appreciated her for the enlightenment and thanked her for it.

Retired Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt has taken to Instagram to share adorable new photos of his daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt at eight months.
Recall that the eight-time Olympic gold medalist welcomed the birth of a baby girl with his partner, Kasi Bennett, in May 2020.
