A man of Ugandan descent, identified as Mugole Omusaja, has died in a ghastly motor accident days after his introduction ceremony.

According to reports, the accident occurred on Thursday, December 10, killing Mugole and one other person.

The deceased held his introduction ceremony at his bride’s family home on Friday, December 4, and was set to get officially married soon.

A facebook user named Buyinza Zaina, breaking the news, took to Facebook to share photos from the ceremony and the accident scene.

She wrote;

“Weraba mukwano, we attended the introduction ceremony on Friday 4/12 but he has passed away. bye bye mugole”

In other news, A 31-year-old Nigerian lady identified as Juliet Nlemadim has died a few days to her wedding in Imo State.

It was gathered that the University of Lagos graduate died on December 3, after a brief illness. She will be laid to rest in her hometown, Uborji Okuku, Owerri West on Friday, December 11,2020.

Upcoming Nigeria artiste, Olatosi Adekolu Oluwaseun popularly known as Oluwaseun Kobbe has died after a brief illness.

The promising music star died on Thursday morning, December 10 at an hospital at the Ojuore area of Ota, Ogun state.

Oluwaseun, who was in his mid-20s, will be laid to rest today, December 11.

The deceased was the younger brother to popular music promoter, Yusuf (DANKU) Adepitan. Oluwaseun featured top music artistes in Nigeria including Davido, Olamide, Terry G and Reminisce on his works.

Danku speaking about his brother’s demise said, “Oluwaseun is a great lost to my family. I am really down currently”.

Segun debuted in the Nigerian music industry with his song “olele” which he featured Olamide and “okulosun” ft Oritsefemi.

He studied International Law and Diplomacy from Babcock University.

Benue First Lady leads walk against gender-based violence days after she and her husband reconciled woman-beater, Pius Angbo and wife

The first Lady of Benue State, Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom, led a walk to create awareness against gender-based violence in Makurdi, Benue State.

The walk was held on Thursday, Dec 10, as part of the activities to mark the closing of this year’s 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.

The First Lady led participants through major streets of Makurdi, the state capital and terminated the walk at Benue Hotels where a dissemination meeting was held.

Speaking at the dissemination meeting, Mrs Ortom warned that the people must not take the end of the #16daysofactivism period as the end of the fight against GBV.

She said,

“This is rather the time to build on the observations and experiences of the period in order to be more determined and committed to ending GBV in Benue State.”

The first lady’s walk comes days after her and her husband, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State reconciled a domestic abusive husband, Pius Angbo with his wife, Dr. Ifeyinwa Angbo.

Fake Lagos doctor arrested by EFCC for fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested one, Williams Michael Ogwezi also known as Dr. Williams, for parading himself as a staff of the Commission to defraud his victims.

It was alleged that Williams is a member of a syndicate that specializes in forging identity cards of the Commission as well as those of other law enforcement agencies.

The suspect was arrested in Lagos, following a report received by the Commission from the Nigeria Police Area Command Ajah, Lagos.

Investigation revealed that the suspect had defrauded one of his victims, a lady, of jewelry valued at N10, 000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) before his arrest.

Williams has reportedly confessed to the crime and items recovered from him at the point of arrest include an identity card with inscription of EFCC, EFCC face masks, three laptops, three mobile phones and two vehicles (Lexus and Hyundai Genesis).

Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr Wilson Uwujaren averred that he will soon be charged to court.

Friends and family of a young man, identified as Victor Asuquo Akpan, have been thrown into mourning after he allegedly slumped and died while participating in the Nigerian Army screening exercise.

Akpan was reportedly at the Nigerian Army screening exercise in Ibawa, Akwa Ibom State when he slumped and died on Monday, December 7th.

A friend of the deceased who shared the sad story on Facebook revealed that, Akpans body was laid to rest on Thursday, December 10th.

The Facebook user, identified as Edet James wrote,

Court dismisses Mompha’s “no-case application”, asks him to open his defense immediately

A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed a “no- case application” filed by internet sensation, Ismaila Mustapha better known as Mompha.

The socialite who is currently standing trial over an alleged N32.9 billion internet fraud and currently facing a 22 count criminal charge bordering on money laundering alongside his co defendant, Ismalob Global Investment Limited, were directed to open their defence.

The presiding judge, Justice Mohammed Liman said the court is convinced that the prosecution has established a prima facie case against the defendants with evidence and testimonies presented, and will want them to give an explanation.

BBNaija lockdown winner, Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly known as Laycon, has been called out on social media for reportedly liking a tweet that shaded his co-housemate, KiddWaya.

Recall that the billionaire’s son, Kiddwaya, was dragged by the belt after he shared a controversial tweet, stating that the difference between him and a lot of people is hardwork.

He tweeted,

“The difference between you and I is hard work. The rest is just excuses.”

The reality TV star’s tweet wasn’t well received by Netizens and he was heavily criticised for making that assertion, causing his name to trend on micro-blogging platform, Twitter.

A fan reacting to his tweet, shared a video telling Kiddwaya to get out of his face.

The eagle eyes of Netizens noticed that Laycon liked the tweet and fans of the billionaire’s son wasted no time to call him out.

Seeing that he had subscribed for premium dragging unknowingly, Laycon reportedly un-liked the tweet which earned him the title “two-faced”.
