UK-based Nigerian man apologizes to Nigerians for campaigning for Buhari

A Nigerian man known as Fola Adeleke who was a staunch supporter of president Muhammadu Buhari, has tendered an apology to Nigerians for pushing campaigns in support of the incumbent president.

Fola, who is based in the United Kingdom, took to his Twitter account to ask Nigerians to forgive him for misleading people to vote for Buhari in the general elections.

In his words;

”On behalf of me and my Family I tender my sincere apology, for campaigning and misleading people to vote for this empty brain man

Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky has taken to Instagram to drag Tunde Ednut while also threatening to call the US Immigration Police on him.

Bobrisky’s outburst was provoked by the musician cum blogger’s ongoing feud with Instagram relationship expert, Joro Olumofin.

The duo have been at loggerheads for years now and Joro has continued to accuse him of being in the US illegally. In the most recent attack, Tunde reportedly served Joro a cease and desist letter through his lawyers, claiming he suffers psychological damage because Joro subjected him to cyber-bulling.

Reacting to Tunde’s allegation of being cyberbullied, Joro shared screenshots he received from people who were allegedly bullied by Tunde, in a bid to prove that Tunde is the real cyberbully.

After Joro shared the screenshots which apparently angered Bobrisky, the male cross-dresser called Tunde out and threatened to call the US immigration if he responds.

Naira will become powerful again – Pastor Adeboye prays

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has prophesied that the Nigerian currency, the Naira, will regain its strength among the league of currencies.

His prophecy comes as the naira this week exchanged to the dollar at N490 to $1 in the parallel market this week. Last week, the Naira to dollar exchange was N500 to $1.

Speaking on Saturday morning December 12 during the Church’s annual Holy Ghost Congress held at the RCCG International Headquarters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the 78-year-old cleric prayed to God to intervene in Nigeria’s financial sector and change the hearts of policymakers who deliberately devalue the naira.

“During our first Convention here at the Redemption Camp, I was bold, I asked everybody to come, free feeding. They came, I ran out of money. My wife came to me in the morning, ‘Sir, we need N5,000.’

Naira was powerful then. It will become powerful again. Those who are deliberately devaluing our naira, before tomorrow morning, God will intervene.

So, my wife said we needed N5,000. I asked her, ‘Do you need it today or later?’ She said today. I didn’t have a kobo. I told her to go. I cried to God that I needed a breakthrough. It wasn’t long after that, one man drove in, he wasn’t a member of the church.

He asked what’s going on and we said we are having a Convention. And then, he put his hands in his pocket and brought out an envelope with some money.

Many Nigerian graduates can’t read or write – Minister of Education

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has stated that most Nigerian graduates find it difficult to read or write.

He made the statement while decrying the continuous fall in the standard of education in the country.

Adamu, who spoke in Yola, the Adamawa State capital during official commissioning of completed projects in the college, lamented a situation in which graduates can neither read nor write in a tolerable manner.

He said the situation was a cause for concern, adding that students and teachers need to sit up and face their tasks squarely if the situation is to be reversed.

“Some graduates of tertiary institutions across the country cannot read or write applications,” said the minister who was represented by the Director of Tertiary Education in the Federal Ministry of Education, Hajia Rakiya Gambo Iliyasu.

The minister elaborated that students and even graduates had been found to be unable to write one full sentence without multiple corrections needing to be made.

The minister urged all stakeholders in the education sector to sit up to ensure that the decline in the value of education is bridged within the shortest time possible.

A Nigerian man, Kingsley Mojekwu has taken to Facebook to explain that some men do not show their true colours to their woman until she gets pregnant.

According to him, some men are idiots who are not easily identified by the lady they’re dating because she is not made the mistake of allowing herself to be impregnated out of wedlock.

He explained that ladies often have no idea that their man is an idiot until they are hit with unwanted pregnancy.

Pastor Timi Adigun of MINE Teenage Ministry has reacted to the allegations that he sexually assaulted a number of the teens in his care.

Some days ago, viral reports made the rounds on Twitter that Adigun, who is the leader of The Ark Church, was involved in inappropriate sexual acts with his female teenage members for years.

The teenage ministry, an offshoot of his church, encourages sexual purity and even has a yearly “virginity day”.

However, while teaching them about sexual purity, he was not living up to his teachings.

The married pastor was also accused of molesting those who lived with him for over 5 years.

They claimed that he started the “Father Me” series where he encouraged people to submit to fatherhood, only for him to use the opportunity to allegedly molest those girls who took him as a father.

The Ministry made these accusations on Twitter via its official Twitter handle then claimed that his wife, Timilehin Adigun was aware of his actions and was “complicit”.

Akan Imoh, a public relations expert, who lives close to the church in Lagos, claimed that he confirmed the allegations after investigating alongside two other journalists.

In the Facebook post that went viral, he also claimed Mr Adigun was nonchalant about their findings.

The accused pastor has now admitted to the allegations via an apology letter he shared on social media.

He said he is “deeply sorry” to everyone his “actions and inactions have hurt”.

He added: “The truth is, I was involved in inapproprite behaviour with females over a couple of years.”

Oluwaseun, who was in his mid-20s, will be laid to rest today, December 11.

The first Lady of Benue State, Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom, led a walk to create awareness against gender-based violence in Makurdi, Benue State.

The walk was held on Thursday, Dec 10, as part of the activities to mark the closing of this year’s 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence.

The First Lady led participants through major streets of Makurdi, the state capital and terminated the walk at Benue Hotels where a dissemination meeting was held.

Speaking at the dissemination meeting, Mrs Ortom warned that the people must not take the end of the #16daysofactivism period as the end of the fight against GBV.

She said,

“This is rather the time to build on the observations and experiences of the period in order to be more determined and committed to ending GBV in Benue State.”

The first lady’s walk comes days after her and her husband, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State reconciled a domestic abusive husband, Pius Angbo with his wife, Dr. Ifeyinwa Angbo.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested one, Williams Michael Ogwezi also known as Dr. Williams, for parading himself as a staff of the Commission to defraud his victims.

It was alleged that Williams is a member of a syndicate that specializes in forging identity cards of the Commission as well as those of other law enforcement agencies.

The suspect was arrested in Lagos, following a report received by the Commission from the Nigeria Police Area Command Ajah, Lagos.

Investigation revealed that the suspect had defrauded one of his victims, a lady, of jewelry valued at N10, 000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) before his arrest.

Williams has reportedly confessed to the crime and items recovered from him at the point of arrest include an identity card with inscription of EFCC, EFCC face masks, three laptops, three mobile phones and two vehicles (Lexus and Hyundai Genesis).

Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr Wilson Uwujaren averred that he will soon be charged to court.

Fans of Big Brother Naija star, Dorathy have reacted following a distressed look on her face during a waist trainer advertisement.

In a recent video that surfaced online, the plus size reality star was modelling waist trainer, however, concerned fans noted that she wasn’t looking comfortable in the undergarment.

Netizens took to the comment section to state that she was looking choked and could barely breath as a result of the tight waist trainer she had on.

Billionaire heiress and Disc Jockey, Florence Otedola popularly known as DJ Cuppy has flaunted the expensive Bulgari wristwatch she got as a gift from her “mystery man”.

The media personality, in a post shared on her Instagram story, had first revealed that she was going out on a date. She simply shared a photo and captioned it, “Date Night”.

Moments later, she shared a photo of a luxury bulgari wristwatch sitting pretty on her wrist and noted that a man, possibly her date, bought it for her to kick start their date night.

She wrote,

“He bought me a Bulgari (to kick things off)”

Her post has garnered mixed reactions on the popular photo-sharing platform, Instagram. A fan even asserted that the billionaire’s daughter probably gifted herself the wristwatch and said she got it from a man.

Recall that since her broken relationship with Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, DJ Cuppy has not declared that she is with a new man.
