Popular Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has announced the death of her beloved mother, Mrs. Victoria Olubunmi Fetuga, aged 67.
Taking to her verified Instagram page, the actress revealed her mother passed on while in her sleep in the early hours of Saturday, November 21.
She revealed she had discussed with her mother how she would love and want her to live longer and see her grandchildren grow to become adults.
The actress said her mother replied “No”, that she is satisfied with the fact that she [Iyabo Ojo] is happy and added that her spirit will always be with them and protect them.

A 300 Level Medicine and Surgery student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Oghogho Christiana has been abducted by gunmen.
It was gathered that the student was kidnapped was along the Benin-Auchi Expressway in Edo State on Thursday, November 19, while on her way to Ekpoma from Benin City.
A family member, who confirmed the incident on Friday, said the kidnappers have demanded a N7 million ransom for her release.
In a similar development, gunmen also on Friday November 20, reportedly shot dead the driver of a bus of a popular transport company and kidnapped fourteen Abuja-bound passengers on Benin-Auchi Road.
The whereabouts of the passengers remained unknown as the kidnappers are yet to make any contact for ransom.

A train conveying passengers from Abuja to Kaduna reportedly broke down in the middle of nowhere on Friday, November 20th.
It was learnt that passenger on the Abuja-Kaduna train were stranded as they had no idea of the location they were.
A Twitter user and Nigerian Health practitioner, Fatima S. Zuntu, @drfatima84 took to the micro-blogging platform to share a video of her and other train passengers, all standing and sitting around while waiting for a solution to move.

A Nigerian lady simply known as Oyin has shared screenshot of an email she received from a university she did not apply to, offering her provisional admission.
She, however, revealed that the admission was meant for someone else and had been mistakenly sent to her.
The Institution, McPherson University located in Ogun state, sent an email to Oyin, stating that she had been offered admission, but the name of the real owner was disclosed as Elugbaju Oyindamola Deborah.
The real owner is a namesake with Oyin, which partly explains the mix-up, and could be further understood if they both bore the same surname.
Attached to the the email, which was signed by the University Registrar, were the admission letter and requirements for resumption as well as school fees.
Oyin announced the mix-up on Twitter by writing; “Please RT, Oyindamola Deborah Elugbaju might be on your TL.

President Muhammadu Buhari Friday in Abuja said his desire is to make Nigeria a country that has no tolerance for corruption, but one where the menace is vigorously battled.
Receiving the Report of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry on the Investigation of Ibrahim Magu, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), headed by Justice Ayo Salami (Rtd), at State House, Abuja, President Buhari said: ”Corruption is present in all countries.
Some Governments treat it with levity. Some fight it all the time. I want Nigeria to be counted among those countries that do not tolerate but fight corruption.” In order to protect Nigeria’s political and economic systems, and the continuous existence of the Nigerian State from the serious threat of corruption, the President called on all stakeholders, and indeed every Nigerian to own the fight against corruption at their respective levels. Pledging that the fight against corruption is one that must be fought without fear or favour, President Buhari thanked members of the Commission for their dedication and commitment to the fight against corruption.
The President said further: ”The sad reality confronting us as a people is that there is corruption almost everywhere; at many levels of government, and nearly every stratum of our society. Mindful of the threat that corruption poses to us as a nation, this administration has specifically focused on the fight against corruption.
”As a government, and in furtherance of our anti-corruption programme, we have since inception engaged in many reforms in removing corruption including but not limited to the enforcement of Treasury Single Account (TSA), strict implementation of the Bank Verification Number Policy and signing unto the Open Government Partnership. A lot of efforts have gone into building and development of our anti-corruption institutions.
”We have so far kept faith with our promise and shall remain committed until Nigeria triumphs over the evil of corruption, attain a prosperous economic status and surmounts her security challenges. ”However, the stark reality of widespread corruption becomes poignant when allegations of corruption touches on the leadership of an institution set up by law to coordinate and enforce all economic and financial crimes. It is an abomination that strikes at the root, and undermines the Government’s anti-corruption programme.
”It was in response to the serious allegations against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission that I set up a Panel headed by the Honourable Justice Isa Ayo Salami, retired President of the Court of Appeal, via an Instrument dated 3rd July 2020 pursuant to the Tribunals of Inquiry Act (Cap T21, LFN, 2004). ”We recognize that there are more grounds to cover in the war against corruption, and we are prepared to go out to possess those lands by cutting off any stream that nourishes the seed of corruption and supports its growth.
”Let it be known that in the fight against corruption, no one is too big to tackle, as no individual is bigger than the Nigerian State!” In his remarks, Justice Salami said that the suspended Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, and 113 witnesses appeared and testified before the Commission, adding that 46 petitions and memoranda were presented by individuals and organisations with complaints against the suspended Acting Chairman, EFCC or both.
Justice Salami disclosed that the Commission also embarked on a nationwide physical verification of recovered forfeited assets, comprising real estates, automobiles, vessels and non-cash assets. He commended the President for the initiative to dispose all forfeited assets ”because of the poor condition of the assets we saw during our physical verification nationwide.”
Noting that the four chairmen of EFCC since inception were from the police, the retired Justice of the Court of Appeal also recommended that in appointing a new chairman consideration should be given to candidates from other law enforcement or security agencies and core staff of the EFCC as provided in the EFCC establishment Act of 2004. He expressed profound gratitude to the President for giving the Commission members a wonderful opportunity to serve the nation.

A copy of the Holy Bible has reportedly survived a massive fire outbreak that destroyed properties in a Kente shop at the popular Odanwa Market in Ghana.
This incident has left eyewitnesses in a state of amazement. The fire had razed down several shops at the Odawna Market at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra on Wednesday, November 18, destroying goods and personal properties.
Speaking in an interview with Yen, one of the eyewitnesses who discovered the bible, revealed that it was on a table with tons of Kente cloth and money.
According to the man, who is said to be a gateman, the fire engulfed everything in the shop including all the clothes and the table, but the Holy Bible was found unscathed.
He said,
“What happened at the Odawna Market was a massive disaster but the Bible was able to survive which proves the power in the word of God and the fact that it needs to be regarded with all seriousness.”

However, while fans trooped to the comment section to congratulate the reality star and latest ambassador, a troll dragged him to filth over the endorsement.
The troll tagged him an audio billionaire amid other mean words.
He wrote, “Where are the sales girls and boys.. audio billionaire who is doing ad for ciroc..shame on you pigwaya and fuckrica”.
Nigerian disc jockey and singer, Florence Otedola, popularly known as DJ Cuppy has savagely replied a troll who urged her to pursue another career, asides music.
The billionaire daughter had shared a snippet from her recently released single “Karma”, and wrote, “My NEW single “KARMA” is out now! “.
However, the troll who was obviously not a fan of the singing sensation, urged her to pursue another career. According to him music is not her thing.
In his words, “I think you should fine something else to do because music is not your carrier #Dj cuppy”.
Meanwhile the Twitter career coach, made several blunders in his tweet and Cuppy was quick to notice and dragged him for it. He said “carrier” instead of career.
