A 22 year old lady, Georgia Brodrick, who is a dancer, miraculously recovered after she hurled herself off the eighth-floor of a building in a desperate attempt to escape her abusive boyfriend.
According to the Daily Mail Australia, Brodrick beckoned on her dad on the morning of July 17 from her apartment in Melbourne, Australia, begging him to come and pick her up.
She had just found out her boyfriend had cheated on her despite his physical abuse towards her. When she waited for dad her and he didn’t make it on time she jumped off the balcony and landed on a fence, with her body bouncing into a nearby ditch.
She was rushed to the hospital where she was reportedly put into an induced coma for emergency surgery. Her injuries were so bad that doctors gave her just a 10% chance of survival, as she spent three weeks on the trauma ward being fed through a tube.
She miraculously survived, although she has no memory of the traumatic moments before she jumped. She’s with her family as she recuperates.
She’s now bravely opened up about the emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex.
“If I tried to leave him he would sit at the front door and wouldn’t let me out of the apartment,” she said
“My family tried to warn me because they could see through his manipulation, so he constantly put them down and blamed them for my insecurities.
“He made me feel like he was the only person who truly loved me.”

A lady has taken to Twitter to share a very bizarre story of how a lady was rushed to the emergency room after her dog allegedly tore her vagina.
According to her, she got the information from her friend at the emergency room (ER).
It was alleged that the patient makes her dog perform cunnilingus on her occasionally, but on this unfortunate day, she was forcing the dog to go faster when it tore her skin.

A Nigerian doctor has recounted the interestingly odd encounter with a lung cancer patient at a hospital.
The doctor Identified as @drpenking on Twitter, revealed that the patient who has lung cancer attempted to sneak out as early as 5am to smoke.
He said the patient tried heading to the back of the ward to attempt smoking weed (Igbo) but was intercepted in the process.

Many passengers narrowly escaped death in Lagos on Monday when a bus rammed into a moving train in the Oshodi area of the state.
The Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Dr. Femi Oke-Osantintolu, who confirmed the incident said the situation which happened around 8.am, had been brought under control with no loss of life recorded.
In his words,
“The agency received distress calls on the above. Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that a passenger bus with registration number GGE 972 GE, had veered onto the train tracks while crossing the rail at PWD inward Oshodi, Lagos.
“The bus was then dragged along for a stretch of the journey before the train managed to come to a complete halt.
“Subsequently, the agency was able to successfully extricate the passengers and note that there was no loss of life.”
Similarly, The Lagos State Traffic Management Autorithy (LASTMA), announced the accident via its Twitter account.
LASTMA tweeted,
“A train ran into a Volkswagen T4 bus at the ARENA crossing, pushing it to Oshodi U-bridge. Onlookers causing more harm than good. Men on ground, Necessary Agencies.”
A twitter user with handle @NoahTheRastaa has thrown a shot at women in general, claiming that they attach a lot of value to material things in their relationships.

Two suspected mobile phone fraudsters who specialize in advertising expensive mobile phones at cheaper prices on a Nigerian online marketplace to lure their buyers to places where they dispossess them of their money in exchange for fake mobile phones, have been arrested by the police.
The suspects, Chukwu – Emeka Ogbona (45) and Olabode Kehinde (34), were arrested at Olowu Street, Ikeja in separate incidents last Wednesday, September 9
According to the police ;
”The suspects, along with other gang members, lure the buyers to locations around Olowu Street and Computer Village, Ikeja, where they fraudulently collect money from the buyers after showing them the real phone but within a twinkle of an eye substitute it with fake Iphone X. The suspects thereafter flee the scene leaving their victims stranded.”
When interrogated, the suspects disclosed that apart from advertising on the Nigerian online marketplace, they also fraudulently sell fake mobile phones on the streets of Computer village to unsuspecting buyers as well as return fake or paper money to their victims after collecting the real money from them.
One of the suspects, Chukwu Emeka Ogbona, said :
”The leader of the gang is Ibrahim. He advertised on jiji.com and supply us with the real Iphone X and the fake Iphone X. The real Iphone X is N240,000 while the fake is an android phone made to look like an Iphone X. It is N30,000.
The Iphone X was advertised for N155,000. The buyer negotiated for N120,000. Knowing what I want to sell to him, I encouraged him to meet me at Olowu after changing meeting locations twice to ensure that we were not being baited by the police.
I showed him the real Iphone X for him to confirm it while the fake was in my back pocket. I took the real one back from him again for us to settle our bargain. Meanwhile, I had arranged with other gang members to come around and distract the attention of the buyer so as to create room for me to swap the real Iphone X with the fake version.
This I did and we shared the victim’s N120,000. Unknown to me the police baited and arrested me the third day of the fraud.
Times are hard. I stopped doing it before. I need money to feed my family. That is why I came back into it. We are many doing it. We call it street hustling. I wont go back to it if released”
A Ugandan businessman, identified as Mathew Kanyamunyu, on Saturday afternoon, September 12th, admitted to killing a child rights activist, Kenneth Akena Watson and agreed to pay 10 cows and three goats compensation to the family of the deceased.
The deceased, Akena, was working as a child protection specialist under a USAID project at the time of his death in 2016.
It was learnt that,the deceased accidentally knocked Kanyamunyu’s car in a parking lot in Lugogo, Kampala, and had reportedly gone to apologise to Kanyamunyu after the accident, when Kanyamunyu lowered the window of his car and shot him in the stomach with a pistol at close range. According to the family, a postmortem report revealed two bullets inside Akena’s body.
Akena died a few hours later at Norvic hospital, where he had been taken by the accused.
Kanyamunyu has since then been on trial together with his Burundian girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and sibling Joseph Kanyamunyu who allegedly hid the killer gun. But throughout the trial, Kanyamunyu and his girlfriend insisted that they only took Akena to hospital as good Samaritans.
However, in an alleged dying declaration, Akena reportedly told his relatives that he was shot by the same people who took him to hospital.
Last month, Kanyamunyu’s family sought the intervention of Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Initiative (ARLPI) and Acholi Cultural Institution to broker a reconciliation agreement between them and Akena’s family to find a closure to the case.
Dr John Baptist Odama, the Gulu Archbishop backed by Rwot David Onena Acana II, the paramount chief of Acholi persuaded Akena’s family who in turn opened up to the negotiations. The reconcilers summoned the two families for the first meeting that was held on Saturday, in Gulu.
A family source privy to the negotiations says that Kanyamunyu, made a step by step recount of what happened between him and Akena on November 12, 2016, at Forest shopping mall in Lugogo before he pleaded for clemency from Ogom chiefs, Akena’s clan leaders.
“He admitted that he will make the same confession before the High court in Kampala where he is being prosecuted to allow him to enter a plea bargain,” a source said.

The same source added that after the confession, the elders on the protocol of Mato Oput made an assessment of 10 cows and three goats to be paid by Kanyamunyu’s family to which they agreed.
The trial of Kanyamunyu and his co-accused was earlier this year adjourned indefinitely by presiding judge Stephen Mubiru, the Gulu resident judge.
However, Akena’s family members remain optimistic about the pursuit of traditional justice by Kanyamunyu’s family will not derail them from continuing with criminal proceedings already before the court.
The Kaduna Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) has shut down many Bet9ja and other gaming shops in its ongoing operation to close all unregistered gaming centers in the state.
Head of Gaming at KADRIS Liye Anthony stated this in an interview with journalists.
According to Anthony, the operation, which began on Thursday, had so far shut down five offices each of Bet9ja and King Bet, two Access Bet offices and one office of Derby Lotto.
The Kaduna State Tax Codification and Consolidation Law, 2020, as mandated gaming companies to register and obtain a license before operating in the state.
Section 86 of the law mandated that any gaming company wishing to operate in the state should, upon payment of nonrefundable N400,000 registration fee, apply in writing for an operating license.
Section 91 also imposed a 10 per cent tax on every stake money and the winning amount which should be promptly deducted and remitted monthly to KADIRS by every licensed gaming company in the state.
Anthony noted that there were about 1,500 gaming offices across the state operating illegally without due registration and licence.
He stated that, the exercise will continue until all the illegal gaming offices are shut down.
He said,
“We will continue to go after them until all the operators of the gaming companies regularised their operations and obtained the needed license to operate in the state.”
Earlier today, a video made the rounds on the internet of Nigerian music executive, Soso Soberekon purportedly smashing his expensive television after it was announced that Kiddwaya was evicted from the Big Brother Naija reality TV show.
Sunday night saw the eviction of BBNaija housemates, Prince and Kiddwaya — the latter came as a surprise to a lot of people and to make it seem like it, Soso Soberekon also shared his fury over the development as he got aggressive when Kidd’s eviction was announced.
Soberekon is seen in the viral video throwing a metallic object at his television and some frames later, his flat screen television looks damaged as a result of his action.
The music executive has now said it was nothing but a prank and he actually didn’t destroy his TV but in the video he shared on his page, the TV screen still looks impaired as a program is being aired.

Nigerian footballer, John Mikel Obi and his partner, Olga, celebrated their twin daughters – Ava and Mia on their 5th birthday in grand style.
The one time Chelsea player and currently Everton player, gathered friends and family together to celebrate his twin daughters who added another year on the 13th of September.
The proud parents have taken to their Instagram page to share videos and photos from the celebration.

The ex Super Eagles captain and Stoke City player earlier celebrated his daughters with beautiful words on social media.
According to Mikel, his daughters are his world and he’s super proud to be their father.
For him, watching them grow brings him so much joy. He also reminded them of his undying love for them.
He wrote,
“Am so proud of you two. You two are my world ❤️❤️ love you my angels so much and am really the happiest dad seeing you two grow up so fast with your attitudes ?♂️? so proud, first day of grown up school ?????❤️❤️? daddy loves you two so so much.”
Recall that the former Nigerian star signed a one-year contract with EFL Championship side Stoke City on 17 August 2020.
john Mike Obi is a father of two children, twins daughter, with his Russian girlfriend, Olga Diyachenka. Mikel has been with Olga since 2013 and they welcomed their daughters in 2015.
Big Brother Naija ‘Double Wahala’ contestant, Anto Lecky says she would date any man that is willing to accept her for who she is.
She made this statement in an exclusive interview with PunchNG on Sunday, when asked if she could date any man in the entertainment industry.
The reality star said she is more interested in being with an honest person who keeps to his word and accepts her for who she is.
She said,
“At this point, I’m trying to date whoever will accept me for me. In dating, I think usually most people date people within their fields/industry, because where else do most people find partners besides ‘at work’? So, I’m not against dating someone in the limelight. I’m most interested in dating someone who is honest and keeps to his word”.
In a recent post, Anto advised people to work hard but endeavor not to kill themselves, adding that in a bid to achieve greatness, we are all driving ourselves to a state of insanity.
She stressed the need to ”slow down and Just relax’‘ because what will be will be.
She tweeted: “Just a reminder to SLOW DOWN We’re all trying to achieve greatness that we are driving ourselves crazy and losing sight of what’s most important. Just relax (still work hard but don’t kill yourself). What will be will surely be!”
Former Big Brother Naija reality TV star, TBoss has lashed out at trolls who she says are always wanting to make someone else feel bad.
The model who wondered why women will always be the ones to launch troll attacks when they are supposed to be the ones supporting their fellow women, also stated that the “percentage of men who join in troll attacks are those who have lost their manhood.”
She went on to admit that it is hard being the bigger person during troll attacks.
