A new WhatsApp audio that’s currently serving rounds on social media, alleges that disqualified Big Brother Naija: Lockdown housemate, Erica suffered a mental breakdown following the announcement of her disqualification.
According to the audio that was sent to a WhatsApp group, Erica allegedly got hospitalized after having a mental breakdown for being disqualified from the reality TV show.
As can be heard, the individual who sent the audio amidst tears, stated that she spoke with the production team of the show and they revealed that Erica had to be hospitalized following her breakdown and disqualification.

However, Erica’s management has now come out to refute the claims that she got hospitalized after suffering a mental breakdown — in a recent tweet, they ask the public to disregard the WhatsApp audio, saying that Erica is hale and hearty.
Nigerians have had a lot to say since the disqualification of Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica from the fifth edition of the reality TV show on Sunday evening.
While some of the actress’s fans are taking her disqualification really serious and blaming other people for her fate, others are taking actions by donating on a GoFundMe page that was set up for her.
Big Brother Naija alumna, CeeC has also reacted to Erica’s disqualification. The lovely, who during her time was just as controversial as Erica over her behaviour while in the house, reacted to a post where it was wondered what she’ll say to Erica now.

Popular South African actress, Thandeka Mdeliswa has been confirmed dead after being shot at her family home in Evander, Mpumalanga in South Africa.
The actress is popularly known for her starring role as Khanya in the SABC 1 drama series Ikani.
Mdeliswa got into a heated argument her older brother got into with two men at their family home on Thursday September 3rd.
The argument got violent as one of the men grabbed his friend’s firearm and shot the actress. The two men fled the scene and it was learnt that the police have identified the owner of the gun as Hlathi.
Mdeliswa was afterwards airlifted to Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria where she died on Saturday September 5th.
The police said in a statement,
“We are currently investigating this matter and we have not arrested anyone. Yesterday, we brought the owner of the gun to book and we were advised to get the person who pulled the trigger.
“We are busy with our investigation. Anyone with information that can assist should approach the Evander Police Station or any police station around.”

BBNaiaja housemate, Dorathy has told fellow housemate, Kiddwaya that disqualified housemate, Erica, got an inbuilt anger from her mum.
According to Dorathy, Erica revealed this to Prince during one of their private conversations.
Shocked, Kiddwaya said that his lover, Erica never mentioned this part of her to him all the while they have been together in the house.
Dorathy stated this during their morning walkout on Monday.
According to her, “Prince said she [Erica] keeps talking about inbuilt anger from like…her mum…her family, all of that.”
In response, Kidd said, “She talked about that? I didn’t know that.”
Erica was kicked out of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown house yesterday, after, among other things, she poured water on the Head of House bed, denying Prince, her deputy, access to the head of house lounge.
She was also queried for peeping through the camera window and trying to engage with the production team which is against the house rules.
Erica who was the head of house, also threatened to kill fellow housemate, Laycon outside the house.
Erica was disqualified and sent home immediately after Biggie gathered all of the housemates to the lounge and as the usual wont whenever one of them errs, a video of their misbehaviour is played for the rest of the housemate to watch.
All the happenings of Erica’s misbehaviour last night was played for the rest of the housemate to watch which was much to each and every one of them’s surprise… and Erica too could be seen wearing a disappointed look.
These videos made rounds on the internet earlier today and viewers pushed for the disqualification of the actress, which occurred just moments ago as Big Brother announced it.
Lucy Edet was evicted from the Big Brother Naija house yesterday and her name has been trending since her exit from the show.
During her post-eviction interview with show-host, Ebuka, Lucy had said she’d use the new exposure and platform she’s been giving to focus on her brand (Cooking Business and other ventures).
This might have spurred the handler of her page to take to Instagram on Monday morning to solicit funds to help the evicted housemate start her business.
The handler shared the brand logo with a caption that read in parts ;

Erica was disqualified after flouting big brother’s rules and receiving three consecutive strikes in the house. She exhibited some prohibited actions on Saturday night which earned her her last and final strike before she was ultimately disqualified.

Cool FM OAP, N6, has taken to his Instagram account to urge Nigerians to “Pray for Ozo” as he predicts that Nengi and Kiddwaya might soon start dating in the BBNaija house following Erica’s disqualification.

Erica’s unruly behaviour on Saturday earned her a third strike and she was disqualified from the reality show less than 24 hours later.

A woman was left without a forehead for two years after her feet slammed into her face when her car crashed.
Grainne Kealy’s feet were resting on the dashboard when the car she was in crashed and her knees were forced into her face by the airbag that inflated under her feet.
Grainne’s boyfriend’s jeep was travelling at 120mph when the accident happened.
The now 36-year-old, was 22 when the accident happened and she’s still recovering years later.
Doctors had to remove Grainne’s forehead and she said it made her look “a little strange”.
Grainne, from Laois, Ireland, told Fabulous magazine: “When the jeep collided with the wall the airbags inflated as they do but because my feet were on top of mine it actually pushed my feet, knees first into my face.”
She was rushed to hospital with multiple facial fractures and she had a cerebrospinal fluid leak from her brain which required treatment by a neurosurgeon at Dublin’s Beaumont Hospital.
Grainne explained: “They told me that I had pushed in and up my face and they would have to basically pull it all out and put it back together.”
Even though the operation was a success the young woman suffered complications and her forehead was removed.
In 2009 a custom Italian ceramic forehead was fitted but despite being finished with her plastic surgery, Grainne is still dealing with the after effects of the accident.
She said: “I constantly lose words while in the middle of a conversation. This can happen to me 20 times a day.
“I get headaches when too many people are talking around and I sometimes find it difficult to stay focused.”
Now Grainne is trying to spread the message about the dangers of travelling with your feet on the dashboard
She has posted Snapchat pictures of various celebrities sitting in the same position to warn about the dangers.
She wrote on Facebook: “[These] people… do not realise that they are sending out the WRONG message by putting their feet on the dashboard!!”
She added: “If only they knew how dangerous it is.
“To say this breaks my heart would be an understatement. I feel helpless looking at these photos.”

The group of singers were spotted walking on the lake before getting to a centralized point, where they sang hymns and religious songs, as the sun sets behind them.

Michael B Jordan and his Black Panther co-stars joined Chadwick Boseman’s family and friends for his Malibu memorial.
The 43 years old popular American actor best known for playing Black Panther in the hit Marvel superhero franchise died on Friday, August 28, after a four-year secret battle with colon cancer.
Mourners including Michael B Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke, and other Black Panther stars joined the star’s grieving wife Taylor Simone Ledward at his private memorial which took place a week after his death.
Boseman was also remembered on Thursday, September, 3, as a ‘hometown hero who brought a sense of pride’ to his native Anderson, South Carolina.
The city paid tribute to Boseman in a public memorial with a viewing of Black Panther held at an outdoor amphitheater with kids – dressed up in Black Panther costumes.

Boseman died on Friday after a four year battle with colon cancer
A statement posted on the actor’s Instagram account said the actor had been diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer in 2016, which had progressed to Stage IV. According to the statement, he died in his home, with his wife and family by his side.
“It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,” the statement said.

Big Brother Naija Lockdwon housemate, Laycon has blamed Erica for her disqualification from the reality TV show on Sunday, 6th September 2020.
Reacting to the actress disqualification, Laycon in a conversation with Kiddwaya and Vee said he feels sorry for her, saying her actions were because she was drunk.

A Nigerian banker has warmed the hearts of many as he took to his social media page to narrate how God used him to elevate a security guard to a better position in the bank he works in.
Ayomide Babalola-mr Flow in a recent post on his Facebook page, revealed that the security guard had told him about having an OND certificate.

THE ONE WEEK MIRACLE
From the first day, I resumed in XYZ branch, September 2015, I had noticed IDRIS.
Chai!!! You could not miss him with his smart and military-like salute for staff and customers.
A few months down the line, he requested to see me and told me, “Oga, I have an OND certificate and I am almost through with my University degree program(Part-Time).”
Wow, I was amazed but happy for him and encouraged him.
Fast-forward to Dec 2019, one of our staff members got a higher role in the bank and was about to be moved to another department. Idris came to me and told me he was qualified and interested in the ‘would be vacant position’. My interest was piqued. Nothing gets me more than people development especially my team members.
One of the initiatives I introduced,(away from the norm,)was insisting that all security guards be part of the daily meetings and knowledge sharing sessions.
This helped them a lot in product knowledge, public speaking and they were smarter and more confident than their contemporaries. This also helped the branch as output was increased and all our KPIs were achieved.
Let me get back to the STORY, and not bore you with HISTORY.
Cutting to the chase, I got in touch with the recruiting department for that vacancy, the aptitude test for that role was scheduled for him, an interview was conducted, he passed all and was given an offer all within a week.
The picture showed us together on his last day as a security guard on FRIDAY and his First day inside the branch the following MONDAY.
The above happened January 2020 and I was deployed to another location shortly after.
I am sharing now (WITH HIS PERMISSION)because I was at his branch yesterday and his supervisors attest to his commitment on the job.
Idris, this is not where you ought to be, but it is better than where you were.

Idris was adept as a security guard. This was evident in the way I noticed his salute out of his colleagues. Add something to the way you work. Those little extras matter.
Be ready to take the bulls by its horns sometimes. If he didn’t approach me to inform me of his academic qualifications and his interest in the vacancy, I would never have considered him.
As a supervisor, you must be approachable and accessible. That category of staff you term ‘unimportant’, are actually very important to you and the success of your team. Your driver, the elevator guy, the security guard, the so-called ‘Contract staff’ in your unit are important!! THINK ABOUT IT.
As a boss, actively seek out opportunities to develop and uplift your team members. They would go all out to ensure your success too.
Popular comedienne, Lepacious Bose has recounted the embarrassing moments she had to endure because seat belts couldn’t go round her waist due to her weight.
She also recounted how she cried the first time she traveled on a plane without needing seat belt extensions.
The comedian said her weight meant the seat belt in her car couldn’t connect so she always had to hold it with her hand whenever she passed LASTMA officials, to avoid being punished for not using a seat belt.
She also recounted travelling on a plane with male comedians and being too ashamed to request a seat belt extension because she didn’t want them to mock her.
On other occasions, while travelling by air, she said she had to ask for a seat belt extension and it made her feel ashamed.
She eventually lost weight and found that on one of her flights, she didn’t need a seat belt extension because it connected without one.
She said she cried then as she remembered all the embarrassing moments she had endured up until that moment.
Lepacious Bose recounts breaking down on a plane after she lost weight and was finally able to travel without needing a seat belt extension.
Recounting the incident, she wrote.
No it is not a movie and no one died.
This was the first time I would travel in years without needing a seat belt extension!!!!! I simply pulled the belt and it clicked and I broke down in the plane and cried…..oh how I cried…..i cried for so many reasons.
1. For the shame I felt for years everytime the plane crew handed the extension to me and the look people gave me.
2. I cried because I remembered traveling with a group of comedians (great guys) but I did not want then to make fun of me, I flew 6 hours without using a seat belt…… I could not bear to ask for extension and I acted like it was together.
3. I cried because I remembered how many times I held the seat belt in a car so that lasma would not stop me but the seat belt never connected so I just held it till I passed them.
4. I cried for a million and one reasons I can not write about…..
5. I cried because I remembered how many times I got to sit by the exit with leg room and i was politely told I was too overweight to sit there…..in case of an emergency it is assumed a big person will not move fast enough…… Hmmm….
6. I cried because I remembered various times I sat beside evil nasty people in planes who acted like sitting beside me was depriving them of oxygen……
Oh I cried. And when google photos popped this picture this morning I cried again…… Not because am sad or miserable but because am GRATEFUL!

Erica was disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Lockdown reality show on Sunday after she got a third and final strike due to her unruly behavior on Saturday.

Kiddwaya says he misses her and he’ll do everything to help her when they meet again.

Last Sunday night saw the disqualification of Big Brother Naija Housemate, Erica over her incessant infringement of the Big Brother house rules and this has since caused a stir on Nigerian social media.

Nigerian socialite, Bobrisky also took to his Instagram to show his support for the actress as he revealed that he’ll be blessing her with a million Naira.
According to the self-acclaimed Nigerian Barbie doll, he’s only sending the money to Erica to show his support for her after she erred and accepted her mistake — he says because she made a mistake, she shouldn’t be ignored.
The Federal Government has revealed that it has already spent N31 billion in four months to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, revealed that the amount spent so far represents 84% of the N36.3 billon public funds and donations received to respond to COVID-19 between 1st April, 2020 and 31st July, 2020.
In the statement released by the Accountant-General’s office in response to the Freedom of Information request dated August 10, 2020, and sent to him by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and Connected Development (CODE), it was revealed that N5.9 billion is the balance from the donation.
In response, Deputy Director of SERAP, Kolawole Oluwadare and Chief Executive of CODE, Hamzat Lawal, in a letter dated September 4, 2020 addressed to the Account General, lamented that his office did not provide a breakdown on how the money was spent.
“However, we also note that the documents sent to us do not contain other significant details as indicated in our FoI request dated 10 August, 2020, including details and breakdown of the number of Nigerians who directly or indirectly have benefited from the spending, and details on plans to spend the balance of N5.9 billion in the COVID-19 Eradication Support Accounts.
“It is refreshing to note that 115 ordinary Nigerians donated between N1 and N100 to support the authorities’ efforts to fight COVID-19, despite the fact that it is the country’s poorest and most disadvantaged sectors of the population that continue to bear the brunt of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is a huge lesson for public officials and politicians about the idea of public service to one’s country. It also sends a powerful message about the need for politicians to see public office as an opportunity to serve and give something back to the country, and not a place to mismanage, steal or divert the people’s commonwealth into private pockets for personal benefits.
The letter read; “We welcome your demonstrated commitment to transparency and accountability, and hope other public officials and institutions would emulate and learn from the good example you have shown by honouring and respecting FoI Act as a matter of routine and practice.
“We would therefore be grateful to receive more specific details and additional information on the spending of N34.4bn between April and July, and details on plans to spend the balance of the balance of N5.9 billion in the COVID-19 Eradication Support Accounts.
“Of the N36.3bn public funds and donations received, N1.4bn came from Nigerians and companies through accounts at the First Bank; Access Bank; GTB, Zenith, and UBA, while N536m donations were made through the Central Bank of Nigeria [CBN]. The N536 donations comprise of N89m and N279m from the Senate and House of Representatives, respectively.
“In addition, China General Chambers of Commerce in Nigeria donated N48m; the Petroleum Equalization Management Board gave N50m while the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board donated N70m.
“We would be grateful if the requested details and additional information are provided to us within 7 days of the receipt and/or publication of this letter. If we have not heard from you by then, SERAP and CODE shall take all appropriate legal actions under the Freedom of Information Act and the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights to compel you to comply with our request.”
Few hours after Erica’s disqualification, her fans started a fundraising campaign for her on a popular platform, GoFundMe, and in no more than 3 hours after the launch of the campaign, more than $9,000 has been raised. The organisers are targeting $100,000 to support the disqualified reality show contestant.

However, different reactions have continued to trail her disqualification and the launched Go FundMe campaign. Many Nigerians have taken to the street of Twitter to air their views.
A Twitter user @Sonjoe_Kutuh wrote, “Nothing to see here, just misplaced priorities”.
Another user @lagosmp3_ stated that it’s madness to raise such huge amount of money for a disqualified housemate.

Relentless Big Brother Naija: Lockdown housemate, Ozo has shown that he’s not backing down anytime soon from trying to win the heart of his love interest, Nengi.

Popular cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries Port Harcourt in Rivers state have verbally attacked media personality and leader of the Free the Sheeple movement, Daddy Freeze, for always ”insulting his father”, Bishop David Oyedepo.
Daddy Freeze in recent times, have gained notoriety for taking to social media tackle and counter most of the things said or written by the revered clergyman, Bishop Oyedepo.
This has aroused the anger of Ibeyiome and in one of his recent preaching, he verbally attacked Freeze, placing a curse on the day the OAP was born and calling him a “bast*rd” for insulting Oyedepo.

In a rather bizarre and awkward video that’s currently making rounds online, a quite distraught young lady has been captured on camera wailing and cursing BBNaija housemate, Laycon following Erica’s disqualification from the Lockdown house on Sunday evening.
As can be seen in the video, the young lady blamed Laycon for Erica’s disqualification. She says the rapper knew what he was doing as Erica’s disqualification was part of his scheme for her to leave the Big Brother house.
The lady can be heard in the video saying,

Popular Nigerian social media comedian, Broda Shaggi has been considered not so funny by a Nigerian Twitter user.
According to the user, a lady, the comedian’s skits are not funny and are too long and unnecessary.
She says he should consider acting full time — the Twitter user identified as Irunnia on the social networking platform, said the comedian will be better as a full time actor than a comedian.
