Saturday night was quite a memorable night in Big Brother Naija: Lockdown house as statements that were made and death threats that flew in the air will not easily be forgotten by viewers of the show.
This week’s Head of House, Erica became a trending topic on Nigerian social media over her actions after the Saturday night party last night — actions that has prompted a lot of viewers calling for her disqualification from the show.
Erica, while possibly under the influence of alcohol, threw a tantrum in the Big Brother house last night where she cussed out at housemate, Laycon, calling him ugly, a liar and someone who she never dreams of being with because he “lied” about her trying to kiss him.
Erica is heard saying,
Idiot, Short fool. Chicken. Your whole body is like a drumstick of chicken. Right now your brain is evil, so I’m not attracted to anything about you. Stop talking about me. Idiot.”
“That thing that Ebuka said last week is still botherig me. You keep telling me, you’re not ready to talk about it. It’s almost a week.. Are you still being a p***y. 1 week. That’s because he’s scared. He’s f*****g scared, because he knows he lied.. He cannot back it up. 1 week has passed, he has not backed up the claim that I tried to kiss him, at what point did I try to kiss you? You fool, Laycon.. As skinny and ugly as you are, at what point am I gon be attracted to you. How will I be attracted to you? Idiot.”
Not long after cussing him, Erica is seen with TrikyTee and Kiddwaya who were trying to calm her down and in course of their conversation, she laid a threat to Laycon’s life… saying she promises that he’s going to die.

This has caused viewers of the show to call for her immediate disqualification and removal from the Big Brother house… some other social media users have also asked that the DSS and the Nigerian police be involved over her threat to take human life.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has suspended the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board (LSFVCB) Executive secretary, Mr Bamidele Balogun for imposing 5% levy on all audio and visual contents produced and marketed within Lagos state.
This policy was to affect all digital platforms, including IrokoTV, Netflix, etc. However, the government has dissociated itself from the move.
In a statement published on twitter by the state’s commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, he stated that there is no 5% levy on digital contents as the secretary was not authorized by the higher echelon to make such an announcement.
The statement reads,
“The Executive Secretary, Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Mr Bamidele Balogun, is said to have announced a 5% levy. The Government hereby dissociates itself from the said announcement in the media.
“The fifth pillar of the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda, the development policy of this Administration, is Entertainment and Tourism. Practitioners are partners in our effort to ensure that Lagos State remains Africa’s leader in entertainment.
“The Executive Secretary, who was not authorised to make such an announcement, has been suspended, pending an administrative enquiry.
“The Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Administration is not insensitive to the fact that the industry has been badly hit by the effects of the COVID -19 pandemic and empathises with this and other sectors of the economy.”
A Nigerian lady gallantly took to her social media account to say that even if Big Brother Naija: Lockdown housemate, Laycon wins ₦200 million, he would still look like a church rat.
The lady identified as Glory Hope Jacob took to her Facebook page recently to make the condescending statement in a popular BBNaija group.
Glory Hope Jacob, who did not give her reasons for trolling the BBNaija housemate, received series of backlashes from the rapper’s fans and other social media users who thought her comment was uncalled for.
For Glory, no matter the amount of money Laycon may win from the 5th edition of the reality TV show, he still would look like a church rat.
Glory has since received more than one thousand comments of backlashes from social media users as they blast her for making such comments towards a human being.

Big Brother Naija: lockdown housemate, Dorathy has revealed fellow female housemate, Nengi’s intentions for Ozo.
It should be recalled that Ozo had told his love interest, Nengi that he wanted her more than the grand prize and would do anything to win her heart.
However, Ozo on Saturday approached Dorathy in the kitchen talking about his feelings for Nengi and his recent fine from Biggie for microphone infringement.
Dorathy then responded to him, saying Nengi likes him as well and has good intentions for him. She, however, advised him not to get carried away and forget his aim of coming to the show.
“Nengi likes you, she does not have bad intentions towards you.
“She approached me during the party saying I was amazing and wondered why we had a misunderstanding and that was nice of her.
“But you need to focus on what you came here for and don’t forget why you’re here,” Dorathy said.
Ozo has constantly pursued his love for Nengi ever since they made it to the fifth season of the reality TV show.
But Nengi had on different occasions turned down his offer, adding that she already had a relationship outside the house.
Just some moments after Saturday night’s tantrum thrown at Laycon, BBNaija housemate, Erica also prevented her DHoH, Prince from sleeping in the Head of House lounge last night.
According to her, he didn’t take her side during her altercation with Laycon and so, he doesn’t deserve the benefits she made him entitled to — Erica slammed him saying Nengi dropped him, Tolanibaj dropped him and that she is also dropping him.
She then proceeded to pour water on his side of the bed in the HOH lounge to prevent him from sleeping on it. She also widened her legs to cover the whole bed space as she caused him.

Big Brother Naija, housemate, Kiddwaya has warned Ozo that his love interest Nengi will be quite difficult to maintain outside of the show.
According to the billionaire’s son, the female housemate would be on hot demand and many men with high sending powers would be in her DM trying to capture her attention with plenty money and gifts.
He however advised Ozo to focus on making money as that would be the only means through which he could sustain his relationship with her.
According to him, there would be less chance for him to be in a relationship with Nengi outside the house without money.
Kiddwaya tells Ozo:

Nollywood actress, Ameze Imarhiagbe, has asked Nigerians to leave gay people alone as they are not the cause of their problems.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress who was popular in the 90s for her role in movies like ”Flesh and Blood”, said people need to understand that “being gay is totally not a decision most people in the LGBTQ make themselves.”

Quite a handful of Nigerians have taken to social media to reiterate their decisions to continually vote for BBNaija housemate, Laycon to win this year’s edition of the reality TV show, just after Erica insulted him.

Erica had accused the singer of riding on her fame and stated that he could never trend except her name is mentioned alongside his.
Her whole tantrum comes after Ebuka revealed that Laycon was telling other housemates the actress had made attempts to kiss him — a situation she vehemently denied and asked to know when she tried to kiss the rapper.
Laycon’s refusal to provide her a tangible answer is what led her to making derogatory statements about the singer after they partied on Saturday night — in videos that’s making rounds on the internet, Erica can be seen saying Laycon would suffer in life and she would make sure he dies, by killing him.

BBNaija housemate, Laycon has reacted to insults he received from fellow housemate and former ‘bestie’, Erica, just after the Saturday night party.
Erica after Saturday night confronted Laycon over his claim that she tried to kiss him twice. SHe could only affirm one of such time she tried to, but only happened because she was drunk.

A 50-year-old security guard identified as Solomon Ede has died after he allegedly slept wearing his face mask in his place of work in Alako area of Abeokuta, Ogun state on Friday, August 28.
The Nation reports that Solomon was well known in the area for never failing to wear his face mask as part of measures to protect himself from contracting the dreaded Coronavirus.
However, on Friday, the security guard had a few glasses of local gin popularly known as Ogogoro before going to bed and slept with his face mask on.
His lifeless body was discovered face down, suggesting that he died of suffocation from the face mask.
Neighbors who came to fetch water at the compound of the house where the deceased worked, banged on the gate of the building endlessly but late Solomon did not come out to grant them access to the tap.
It was said that, the noise at the gate of the building alerted Solomon’s boss who opened the gate for the visitors and decided to check on Ede in his room.
The boss noticed that the door was locked so he forced it open only to find Ede lying face down on the bed lifeless and with his face mask in place. The boss was said to have raised the alarm which attracted other residents to the building, with many blaming the deceased’s tragic death on his obsession with alcohol.
A source said,
“But for the noise from those who came to fetch water in the early hours of the day, no one would have known that a tragedy had occurred.
It was when the deceased failed to come out of his apartment to attend to those fetching water in the premises of the house that his boss came out and discovered his body.”
Shocked by the discovery, the deceased’s employer reported the matter to a police division at Kemta, Idi Aba.
Residents of the area claim the deceased took to alcohol after suffering depression. He was said to have been warned by his employer and others to desist from his habitual abuse of alcohol.
A resident who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that people advised the Late man to remove his face mask before going to bed.
He said,
“He usually removed his face mask before going to bed. But he took some ogogoro late in the evening and was downcast. Those who saw him at the entrance of his apartment asked him to remove the mask on his face and go to bed, but he refused.
”However, he went to bed forgetting to remove his face mask and slept face down. He was probably choked to death by the face mask”
Last night was filled with a whole lot of drama.. From the drama between Neo and Vee, to Prince and Erica.. and the final straw, Laycon and Erica.
Kiddwaya tried calming Erica down but the more he did, the more fired up and uncontrollable she became.

The pastor, identified as Uchenna Chukwuma, has been apprehended by the Anambra police command, for reportedly killing a native doctor, Oliver Chukwudi Ugwu, 60, in Umusiome Nkpor, Idemili North LGA.
It is reported that the suspect who hails from Amagunze in Nkanu East LGA of Enugu, committed the crime on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2020 and claimed that he was sent by God to kill the native doctor .
He further alleged that the victim was disturbing him spiritually and did not allowed him to progress financially.
According to the State’s Police Spokesperson,Haruna Mohammed , police detectives were alerted of the crime and quickly rushed to the scene and found the victim in a pool of blood .
They rushed him to Iyi Enu hospital, where he was certified dead by medical personnel .
He further stated that the machete used in perpetrating the crime was recovered as exhibit and investigations are ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident while the deceased’s body has been deposited in the morgue .

A young man identified as Abba Ahmad has been talked out of the ending his own life over his inability to marry President Buhari’s daughter, Hanan.
Abba, 22, who has been thrilled by Hanan’s beauty and educational qualifications, has been sending her marriage proposals via social media.
The 400-level Accounting student of the North West University, Kano said ;
“I am in love with her (Hanan Buhari) because of her beautiful face, her level of education and integrity of her father (Buhari).
“I tried informing her but I don’t know whether the messages got to her.”
When asked why he posted about committing suicide if Hanan goes ahead with her marriage to Turad Sha’aban, he said;
“I just said it.”
Police Commissioner Habu Sani and a Police Imam counselled him. It was further learnt that Police spokesman Frank Mba spoke with Ahmad on telephone for 6 minutes, 6 seconds, convincing him not to commit suicide even if he did not marry the President’s daughter. Mba also reminded Ahmad that his religion preaches against suicide.
The suicidal man thanked the Police after the counselling and also expressed desire to join the Force because of the “friendly manner” the Police treated his case.
