Big Brother Naija lockdown housemates, Laycon and Vee, were recently spotted in the kitchen having a conversation about disqualified housemate, Erica.
Laycon had revealed to Vee that he found Erica’s earrings in the Head of House lounge and Vee who has never hidden her dislike for Erica, showed no interest to talk about her.
According to Vee, she doesn’t see why Laycon talks about Erica because he “deserves better“. She went on to say “God forbid” and added “You can’t bring any stupid girl to me and say you like her”
Laycon then asked Vee what she doesn’t like about Erica and she responded saying;
“She doesn’t know how to think for herself. She is weak, hers was bad”
When Laycon tried to put up a defense for Erica that everybody is “weak”, Vee responded saying,
“You will always make up an excuse for this girl and that is why I believe you were jazzed. You were jazzed. Now you have been vindicated. You have been vindicated. Yes I said it. Thank you lord”
At some point in their conversation, Vee started choking due to the smell from the Onion she was cutting. She then blamed Erica for what was happening… “She can hear me” “Oluwa oo!” Vee said
A Nigerian woman Idowu Mary Ronke, who has albinism has shared her journey to self-love and acceptance after battling with suicidal thoughts.
On Monday September 7, “In a post titled “Specially and wonderfully made” Idowu shared how she learned to overcome stigmatization and found self-acceptance after years of battling with suicidal thoughts, bodyshaming and discrimination.
“I’m a kind of person that used to be ashamed of myself for being an Albino, and that’s because of how people always make gest of me by calling me “afin” (albino) and sometimes they’ll call me “afin o n jeyo” ( albino doesn’t take salt), and that always got me being body-shamed, to the extent that I would be weeping and crying, it got to a point where I thought of taking my life, cos I felt so discriminated and criticized,”.
“Unlike many Albinos who face a variety of health care, dermatological and opthalmologic issues like sunburn and risk of skin cancers, Ronke said her skin looks fresh and healthy. This she credited to her grandmother, who loved and took good care of her.
“But my grandma loved and tried all her possible best to take good care of me and my big sis, (of the same skin color) that people always wondered if I do take salt at all, cos of these theories that albinos don’t take salt, and I always take salt, cos I do eat the same food that others eat. Meanwhile, on the other side, some people would just call me anytime I walk on the street, and they would start appreciating and glorifying God through me, and would even be praying for the person who is taking care of me,” she wrote.
Ronke also shared an encounter with a lady that further boosted her self-confidence and self esteem.
“There was a day I went to a bank, and the cashier, after deposited my money, asked me about my name, and I told her, and she also asked if I always take salt, and I said yes, she then said “please can you do me a favor” I said yes, and she said “pls when you get home, tell the person you stay with, regardless of who the person is, tell him/her, that I said thank him/her for taking care of you, because you are so fresh and clean and beautiful” I was like, awwwnnn thank you. Since then I’ve been feeling myself and also proud of myself, because I’m specially made.
Want to use this medium to appreciate my late grandma for the cares and maintenance of my skin color and that of my big sis.”

Popular Nollywood Actor, Yul Edochie has seemingly blamed the white people for the wrong things happening in Nigeria and other African countries.
According to the actor, the colonial masters structured the system in a way that will never work and this has aroused misunderstanding and fighting amongst Africans.
He disclosed this in a reply to a question that was asked by a fellow Nollywood star.
Actress Uche Jombo had tweeted a question ; Who curse Nigeria ?
Oyibo people! They structured it in such a way that it will never work. So we’ll keep misunderstanding and fighting each other, making little progress and depending on them for everything. Same thing they did in many other African countries. Africa needs to wake up.

In what appears to be Ghana’s version of Big Brother, “Big Brethren Ghana” has had tongues wagging on social media over the disparity of the show as compared to what an actual “Big Brother” show is supposed to look like.
Photos from the reality TV show which was shared online has since caused a stir on social media as some of the housemates were spotted sleeping in an improperly ventilated, overcrowded and dirty room.
Some Ghanaians have taken to social media to express their anger against organizers of the show for “disgracing the country”, as they fear they might get trolled just like Big Brother Cameroon.
Here are some more photos and reactions to it below;
Disqualified BBNaija ‘lockdown’ housemate, Erica Nlewedim has granted her first interview since her ousting from the show.
Erica was disqualified from the show on Sunday, August 6, for her unruly behaviour and for breaking the rules of the house.
Erica has now apologized to everyone for the events that happened and she said she doesn’t hate Laycon and didn’t mean the hurtful things she said.
In her words;
“I have apologized to the housemates before leaving the house and I will like to apologize to everybody who watches the show, all my supporters, fans, my family, my friends, I am very sorry for my actions and I’m very very sorry for saying those horrible words to Laycon.
“Laycon, I do not hate you. We have our disagreements but, I don’t hate you.
“And to everybody I insulted: Prince, Dora, all the different people I insulted, I’m very very sorry.
“It’s the day after disqualification, I feel relieved. I’m happy to be outside, I’m happy to see my loved ones and my supporters. I really needed that, so, I’m very happy to be out of the house.
Big Brother Naija Housemate, Erica Nlewedim has finally granted her first interview, since her disqualification from the house.
In the interview, she shares why she got disqualified and how she really feels about Kiddwaya and Laycon. She also explains what was going through her mind on that fateful night.
Disqualification
I feel relieved. I’m happy to be outside. I’m happy to see my loved ones and my supporters, I really needed that, so I’m very happy to be outside the house.
Lesson Learned
The lesson I’ve learned from staying in the house is that I should be fine with being alone. I noticed that I wasn’t fine being alone, but now I know, that I have to be fine with being on my own.
Kiddwaya
What drew me to Kiddwaya is the fact that, I feel like that we, kind of have some similarities. We are both carefree, we are both crazy, we are kind of complete babies too, and our conversations follows very naturally. We are very cool.
I do not think Kiddwaya feels the same way about me, but I don’t really care about all that. I think Kiddwaya played a role in my getting strikes, but I think, it is still my responsibility, and I feel like I also played a role in him getting strikes.
Laycon
What went wrong with my relationship with Laycon… I think it’s when he started telling people I tried to kiss him. To my knowledge, it only happened once, and I was intoxicated. He knew if not for the alcohol, that won’t have happened in the first place. And he lied that I tried to kiss him, a couple of times. Once is not a couple of times, and he decided he didn’t want to talk to me anymore. So I’m wondering why he kept talking about me to different people, making look bad.
I think the rift between me and Laycon can be fixed. Because to me, I don’t even have any negative feelings towards Laycon. One thing about me is, whenever I’m angry, I just want to tell the person how I feel, and within a few minutes, it passes. And I think I’ve done that over and over. So I don’t have any grudges.
Plans after the show
Ventures I will love to go into, obviously my acting. I will love to be a brand ambassador for numerous brands. I will love to go into real estate. I will love to go into beauty… and I will love my fans to support me.
Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate, Laycon, was so delighted that he was picked as the Deputy Head Of House and he could not hold back his joy when he finally entered the luxury lounge.

TrikyTee was initially among the five housemates who had a tie after they played the game earlier this evening. He broke the tie and emerged as winner of the challenge and was given a minute to choose his deputy.
After careful consideration, the gentleman chose rapper, Laycon as his Deputy Head of House.
Laycon was so excited that he’d enjoy immunity for the week and when he gained access into the lounged, he screamed ; ”Omo na so this place fine!!”

The feat is quite an achievement for them as they can be seen overly excited over the development.
46-year-old Ugandan activist, Stella Nyanzi has disclosed that she prefers being in a relationship with younger men than with older men.
According to her, she’s not a submissive woman and she likes to be in control, adding that s*x is good with younger men.
Speaking to The ObserverUg on Monday, September 7, the MP aspirant revealed that she is in a relationship with a younger man who is also running for MP.
“I am in a relationship with a man younger than me. Most of my love relations have been with men younger than me. I love this man dearly but politics is separating us. He belongs to NUP and is initially from FDC too. I think the source of conflict is around his support for the NUP candidate running for the same position as me,”
“My lover is also running for MP; so, I think the intensity of the political season needs him to be loyal to NUP. It’s like I’m competing with his political party and its members, and I am too good for that. We are currently not in a good place. I am not entertaining anyone who is supporting my opponent over me,”
“I love younger men, because I am not a submissive woman who will go around kneeling for this old man and walking on my knees. I like to be the person in control and I have been in control of my life for a very long time. I make my own money… Sex is also very good with younger men.” She added.
Speaking further, Dr. Nyanzi said she loves younger men because she is not submissive and sex with them is great.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has explained the reason for the sudden increase in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and electricity tariff across the country.
Buhari, who was represented by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, made the statement at the ministerial performance review retreat on Monday, September 7, 2020.
The Federal Government blamed the COVID-19 pandemic as the reason for the increase in petrol pump price and electricity tariff.
He said,
“The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a severe downturn in the funds available to finance our budget and has severely hampered our capacity. One of the steps we took at the beginning of the crisis in March when oil prices collapsed at the height of the global lockdown was the deregulation of the price of Premium Motor Spirit such that the benefit of lower prices at that time was passed to consumers.
This was welcome by all and sundry. The effect of deregulation though is that PMS prices will change with changes in global oil prices. This means quite regrettably that as oil prices recover we would see some increases in PMS prices. This is what has happened now. When global prices rose, it meant that the price of petrol locally will also go up.
“There are several negative consequences if government should even attempt to go back to the business of fixing or subsidising PMS prices. First of all, it would mean a return to the costly subsidy regime. Today we have 60 per cent less revenues, we just cannot afford the cost. The second danger is the potential return of fuel queues – which has, thankfully, become a thing of the past under this administration.
“We do not have the resources at this point to continue in this way and it will be grossly irresponsible to borrrow to subsidise a generation and distribution which are both privatised. But we also have a duty to ensure that the large majority of those who cannot afford to pay cost reflective tariffs are protected from increases. NERC, the industry regulator, therefore approved that tariff adjustments had to be made but only on the basis of guaranteed improvement in service.”
Big Brother Naija housemate, Kiddwaya has pleaded with Big Brother to bring his lover Erica back into the house.
The billionaire son made this request when Big Brother asked if he wanted to discuss anything during his diary session, he humbly requested that Erica be brought back into the house.
As expected, Big Brother turned down his offer, reminding him that he knows it’s impossible.
Kiddwaya in response, noted that he was just trying his luck.
Recall that, Kiddwaya earlier admitted that he misses his romantic partner, Erica.
Erica was disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Lockdown reality show on Sunday after she got a third and final strike due to her unruly behavior on Saturday.
She was also queried for peeping through the camera window and trying to engage with the production team which is a flagrant flouting of the house rules.
Kiddwaya says he misses her and he’ll do everything to help her when they meet again.
Kiddwaya said,
“I dey miss this girl small sha….I miss her a lot. When I see her face it makes me happy and the way she used to come sit on my laps.
“I know very well that for sure when I’m done here, I’ll help her anyway I can. It pains me that she lost all the money, all the hardwork and everything just gone like that”.
An 11-year-old boy has become a hot topic after saving his sick grandmother and driving her to the hospital in a Mercedes Benz in Indianapolis, USA.
PJ Brewer-Laye took the brave step expected of an adult after his grandmother, Angela started feeling dizzy, weak and unable to see clearly, with no one else around to help her.
According to the New York Post, when the elderly woman was ill, she leaned against the stop sign on a road and her grandson who was driving his go-kart at the time saw her and came to her rescue.
“I was leaning against the stop sign, and all of a sudden, I look to my right, and I see my car, my Mercedes-Benz coming towards me. Just in an easy, calm manner, it was coming towards me. I looked in the car. It was PJ,” Angela recalled.
The senior citizen commended her grand son’s driving skills saying he had become a “pro” within a short period of time.
“This child is only 11 years old and drives like a pro. He always rides either his four-wheeler, go-kart or his dirt bike while I’m trying to get a little exercise in,”
she said.
The grandma said her grandchild who is close to becoming a teenager after turning 12 was calm and collected during the whole period.
“He drove me home, and he pulled in the driveway. And when I say he pulled in the driveway so precise, because my driveway is kind of narrow … He didn’t go up the curb, in the grass, nothing.
“He pulled in the driveway, in the garage, and helped me out the car. He’s an extra special little boy and he doesn’t ask for anything in return,” the grandma said.
It was discovered that he learnt how to drive by periodically reversing and parking vehicles in the garage.
According to Ozo, Erica was walking on eggshells after her second strike and should have been responsible enough not to let herself down.
Ozo speaking to Biggie during his diary session on Monday said he feels sorry for her because BBNaija is once in a lifetime opportunity which should not be taken for granted.
Ozo said,
“With Erica’s disqualification I know the difficult thing for her is that this is a one in a lifetime opportunity and she let herself down.
“I felt sorry for her. I would not have thought Erica would be that person to be disqualified
“Kiddwaya should not be blamed for her disqualification because each individual has the right to be responsible for their actions.
“Laycon was feeling bad too but he is also not to blame as Erica should have been careful enough.
“As an adult, whatever situation we put ourselves in we need to learn. With time I hope she learns and recovers.
“Erica was walking on eggshells and would have learnt and been calm when housemates tried to help her. I don’t think Big Brother was harsh with the decision.”
Big brother Naija housemate, Laycon is set to be rewarded with a complete image and style makeover deal by celebrity stylist and lifestyle traveller, Uche Nnaji.
According to him, he was highly impressed by Laycon’s self control and emotional intelligence which he exhibited in the face of Erica’s insults. Hence, he and his team will be rewarding him with a complete makeover.
When asked “Why now? Why Laycon?” Uche Nnaji responded that he just wants to reward the trait and behaviour he would like to see in his own children.
As I watched several Clips and Post that littered the BlogSphere last night and saw how the dignity and self-confidence of a young man was under attack by a fellow housemate, and despite all he remained calm. I couldn’t help checking out his page and asking myself …Do we still have YOUTHs like this???.
….
Laycon would be the very FIRST BBN housemate I am ever putting on my page to talk about while in or out of the house. I wish it was about his Sartorial Qualities( Which needs to be discovered ?) but about his display of uncommon SELF CONTROL and Emotional Intelligence (which is a rare trait found these days among most nouveau celebrities ) to millions of Impressionable minds on a global stage.
And as an Image Consultant and Sartorialist , who understands the importance of ABC ( Appearance Behavior and Communication) my team and I would be rewarding such behavior with a Complete Image & Style-Makeover deal as soon as he steps out of the house .
Former Presidential spokesman, Reno Omokri has slammed Nigerians who raised over $15,000 for disqualified BBNaija housemate, Erica.
The popular social media commenter and Lawyer is angry that Nigerians were able to achieve the milestone donation for Erica within 5 hours but have not been able to put up any resistance against President Buhari over the recently increased fuel pump price and electricity cost, 5 days after the decision was made public.
Reno Omokri who singled out Nigerians who always say “come and lead the protest”, stated that we act spontaneously for irrelevancies but look up to others to act for us on relevant things.
According to him, Nigerians deserve President Muhammadu Buhari for their inability to act on relevant things.
In his words;
“In 5 hours, Nigerians raised $15,000 for #BBNaija’s Erica. In 5 days, the same Nigerians have not been able to raise any resistance to General Buhari’s increase of fuel and electricity costs.
If you talk, some Nigerians will say come and lead the protest. Who led them to raise a record breaking $15,000 in 5 hours? We can act spontaneously for irrelevancies, but we are looking for others to act for us on relevant things! Nigeria deserves General Buhari!”.

Students watched through their computers in horror as masked men broke into a class mate’s house and robbed her during their live Zoom lesson.
In the video shared online, a teacher is seen coaching his students via Zoom. Suddenly, two men wearing masks storm into Maria Jose’s room as she is on a Zoom chat with 25 others as well as her teacher.
For more than 25 seconds, the robbers’ actions are recorded for the whole class to see until the criminals finally realise they are on camera.
Her classmates alert the teacher, who is speaking and seems not to have noticed what is going on.
“Does anyone have the address or the number of her parents?” one asks.
Another replies: “I have her mother’s number.”
A third person tells them to “call her straight away.”
The image then seems to freeze on screen after one of the thieves closes the laptop in order to steal it together with other valuables from the property.
The incident took place in the Ecuadorian city of Ambato on Friday, September 4.
Thankfully, the victim’s classmates managed to alert police and four suspects were arrested.
In a statement, Ecuador Police said: “During this operation, units from the Organised Motorised Group (GOM) were dispatched and were informed of the criminal act upon arriving at the location.
“The perpetrators of the robbery fled the scene in a motorised vehicle and thanks to the location of the mobile phones they robbed, they were located and captured in a sector known as ‘Huachi Grande’.”
Nigerian lawyer and social media commentator, Reno Omokri, has written an open letter to Pastor David Ibiyeomie revealing the identity of Daddy Freeze‘s parents after the earlier saga.
Earlier in the day, a video made rounds on social media where Pastor David Ibiyeomie of the Salvation Ministries Port Harcourt in Rivers state verbally attacked media personality and leader of the Free the Sheeple movement, Daddy Freeze, for always ”insulting his father”, Bishop David Oyedepo.
Reno Omokri has reacted to the video, condemning the man of God for hurling insults at Daddy Freeze and calling him a “bastard”.
He wrote,
Dear Pastor David Ibiyeomie,
Christ was insulted, but He did not insult back. “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate”-1 Peter 2:23.
@DaddyFreeze was wrong to say what he did on Oyedepo. But my Christian brother, you are even more in the wrong to have insulted him. He is no bastard. I know both his mother and father. His father is a Muslim Yoruba businessman that has contributed much to Nigerian society and his mother is the first female vice chancellor of a Nigerian private university, and a Professor of law. By calling him a bastard, you not only insulted him. You insulted his mother. Christ would never have done that!
Daddy Freeze is cantankerous. He is sometimes (but not always) a credit to Christianity, but he spoils that by engaging in needless controversy for the sake of notoriety and social media following. Face him and challenge him on that, whether publicity or privately. But it is not right to insult him seeing as Scripture says “a servant of the Lord must not quarrel”-2 Timothy 2:24.
And a child who does not know his father is not a bastard. There are illegitimate parents. But there are no illegitimate children. God helped me build an orphanage. I did not steal to build it. I did not build it with donation from church members. I built it with my own money. How do you think my children will feel to hear what you said knowing they were abandoned at birth? I am in tears as I write this.
BBNaija housemate, Nengi has told Ozo to let her do whatever she wants to do in the house, without thinking it is about him.
She stated that she always has to answer questions from Ozo and she’s beginning to get upset by his constant questioning.
In a conversation that ensued between the duo on Monday Morning, Nengi told Ozo to stop thinking there’s always an issue between them whenever she wants to be alone.
In her words,
“I have told you if I want to do something, leave me alone
“Anytime I want to do something and you keep telling me to stay here or do this or that it gets me upset and I don’t want to get upset with you.
“Stop making it look like everything is always about you.
“Anytime I get upset you think it’s about you or that I am angry at you and that’s not supposed to be.
“Just let me do what I want to do anytime I want to do it and stop always insinuating that we have issues whenever my mood changes,” She added.
A pregnant woman, identified as Mistura and her baby died after the doctor who was supposed to operate on the mum was allegedly detained by Lagos police officers enforcing curfew in the state.
The surgeon was reportedly held for about an hour on Airport Road, Ikeja, Lagos State, for violating the Covid-19 curfew, Punch reports.
The doctor had explained that she was on an emergency call but the officers reportedly refused to listen to her pleas.
When the doctor was eventually released, she arrived at the hospital to discover that the pregnant mother and her unborn child were dead.
The incident happened on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, Surulere.
A witness who spoke to Punch revealed that the female doctor broke down in tears when she saw there was nothing she could do to save Mistura and her baby.
The witness said,
“The doctor is a woman. In fact, she was also ill and was placed on a drip at home when she was called for the emergency.
“Because her car was bad, she got a cab to take her to the hospital. She left her house around past 9pm.
“Around 10.15pm, they got to the under bridge around Airport Road, where they met the policemen. They had been stopped by other policemen before they got to that spot. But when she showed them her ID card, they allowed her to pass.
“But these ones refused. After she showed one of them her ID card and said she was on an emergency to see a patient who was between life and death, the policeman ordered the driver to park. He took her ID card and asked her to prove she was on an emergency.
“She went to meet another member of the team and begged him that she needed to leave immediately and that the life of her patient was at risk. She was in a nightgown; she could not even change when she got the call. But the second policeman shunned her.
“The policeman said she was foolish and she was a prostitute because a doctor would never dress the way she was dressed. She begged them and explained the circumstances but they refused to listen and demanded the emergency letter.”
“There were four policemen on duty that night. Only one was on mufti. Their tags were not visible because they wore overalls. They saw the drip in the doctor’s hand; she was risking her life to save another person but they never allowed her.” The source added.
BBNaija housemate, Ozohas finally given up his pursuit for fellow housemate, Nengi. He made this disclosure in a conversation with Dorathy and Prince.
Ozo had always made his love and feelings for Nengi known. He even stated that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. Nengi, on the other hand, has made it clear that she doesn’t want to have a relationship with him.
However, following the disqualification of Erica from the show, Ozo has expressed his concerns as he feels like Nengi is becoming more distant and insinuated that she is getting much closer to Kiddwaya, Erica’s romantic partner.
He said,
“The good news is that Nengi has said that because of Obsessive Compulsory Disorder, OCD, measures, she’s no longer interested in me. So we are done.
“It’s okay if she wants to have another experience with someone else. At this point, I’m done with her.

Nigerian netizens have taken to social media to react to a video of Salvation Ministries head pastor, David Ibiyeomie which shows him slamming ace Radio broadcaster, Daddy Freeze, for “insulting” Living Faith Ministries General Overseer, Bishop Oyedepo.
In the video which was shot during the last service of the church on Sunday September 6, Ibiyeomie, who grew up as a pastor under Oyedepo, explicitly warned the media personality to stop insulting Oyedepo or he will deal with him.
A visibly angry Ibiyeomie went on to call Daddy Freeze a bast*rd during the service and said the OAP is from Somalia and has no father — Ibiyeomie then placed a curse on the day Freeze was born.
He added that he is going to get Freeze arrested if he continues insulting his ‘daddy’ Oyedepo.
“You can’t have a father and insult a father. He also said ‘no right thinking son will sit down and watch someone insult their father’ Ibiyeomie said. Watch the video below,

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate, Dorathy, has opened up the impact her close friendship with fellow housemate, Ozo, had on her.
According to Dorathy, her friendship with Ozo at the beginning stages of Big Brother Naija seemed like a waste of time because it did not produce anything meaningful but ”Sunday dragging”, emotional breakdown, and it also led her to have her first argument in the house.
She concluded by saying if she had the power, she would turn back the hands of time and change everything that went down between herself and Ozo.
BBNaija housemate, Erica Nlewedim, who was disqualified from the reality show yesterday, September 6th, has been pictured all smiles today in a new photo that was shared on Twitter.
The photo which was shared by a Twitter user, @thic-didi shows her rocking a black dress seated outside her hotel building.
Thic-didi captioned the photo,
“She’s good y’all.”
However, after Erica’s disqualification a WhatsApp audio went viral alleging that disqualified Big Brother Naija: Lockdown housemate suffered a mental breakdown following the announcement of her disqualification.
According to the audio that was sent to a WhatsApp group, Erica allegedly got hospitalized after having a mental breakdown for being disqualified from the reality TV show.
The individual who sent the audio amidst tears, stated that she spoke with the production team of the show and they revealed that Erica had to be hospitalized following her breakdown and disqualification.
However, Erica’s management has now come out to refute the claims that she got hospitalized after suffering a mental breakdown — in a recent tweet, they ask the public to disregard the WhatsApp audio, saying that Erica is hale and hearty.
