Lady laments over Barca’s loss, says her man bet N1m meant for her bride price

A Nigerian lady has lamented over Friday night’s UEFA Champions league quarter-final match between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, which saw the German side winning 8:2.

According to the lady, the defeat Barelona suffered has destroyed her relationship as her man bet N1 million (US$2600) meant for her bride price on the Spanish side.

The lady wrote to relationship expert, Joro Olumofin, narrating how her boyfriend who is a staunch Barcelona fan, staked N1million on his team(Barca) to win even after she tried to stop him.

She said the match started with she and her man watching it in company of friends, however as the first half ended 4:1 in favour of Bayern Munich, his friends started make fun of him and it was so hilarious that she joined them to laugh. He got angry, left them and drove off.

Sadly, she woke up to a text from him, telling her she has laughed away her relationship and proposed marriage because the money he lost was meant to pay her bride price.

The Big Brother Naija house witnessed yet another heated verbal argument on Saturday afternoon and it seems it’s only a matter of time before the housemates get physical with each other.

As earlier reported, Nengi and Kaisha nearly came to blows during a heated clash in the house this afternoon and other housemates quickly pulled them apart before it got physical.

A video trending on social media shows the moment Lucy tried to stop Neo from trying to pull the fighting ladies apart and some fans have said Lucy was hoping for a physical fight (between Nengi and Kaisha) which would automatically lead to a disqualification.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemates, Nengi and Kaisha had a raucous verbal confrontation that needed the intervention of other housemates from becoming a physical fight.

A Nigerian man, Oluwatosin has caused stir online with his recent statement on women and the type of demands they make from the men they love.

According to Oluwatosin who took to micro-blogging platform, Twitter, if a woman loves a man, she will never ask him for money.

He tweeted: “A lady that loves you will never ask you for money!!!”.

The statement which sparked a debate, garnered various reactions from social media users.

My church banned me from singing in choir after I got pregnant- Waje

Popular Nigerian Singer, Aituaje Iruobe, professionally known as Waje, has recounted how her church forbade her from singing in the choir after she got pregnant.

The singer has a 21-year-old daughter known as Emerald Iruobe.

Waje made this diclosure in a recent live chat with gospel rapper, Bouqui and she went down memory lane about her ”relationship” with the father of her child.

She said ;

“I got into a relationship in SS3 and the relationship went from ‘puppy love’ to sexual. At that time, I felt I loved him and that (sex) was the only way I could express my love. At that time, I saw a fine boy who liked me, though we quarreled on several occasions. I didn’t understand the responsibility that came with making decisions like that.

I got pregnant and I remembered one afternoon, I was in the bathroom when someone came to my house and told me my pastor wanted to see me. I knew that day, there were two things that would happen ? either I died or I died. Everything in me got drained.

Anyway, I went to see the pastor. He was in a conference room with other pastors and he said to me, ‘If you lie, you will die, because you are standing in front of God, Holy Spirit and me.’

He asked me, ‘Are you pregnant?’ and I said, ‘Yes’. He was so disappointed. He told me he wanted to see me in church every Wednesday and Sunday but I would no longer sing in the choir.” She said

Davido’s former PA, Aloma DMW has reacted after a member of DMW crew, announced that he is no longer the personal assistant to the singer.

Earlier this morning, Isreal made the announcement via his Instagram page, saying that anyone who does any business with Aloma, does so at his or her own risk. He also revealed the name of David’s new personal assistant.

Reacting to this, Aloma wrote;

“Even Jesus Christ get enemy. Just be real and be good and it will set you free. Jealously and hatred don Dey tey tey. ALOMA man of the people always stand on truth. BLUNT”.

It’s no doubt that Davido’s crew member, Aloma DMW idolizes him as some months back, a video shared on his official Instagram page, shows him getting a new ink of his boss’ name, David Adeleke on his arm.

It should be recalled that it was reported that the singer, who has been in social media hibernation for weeks now, chased Aloma from the house he’d acquired for the DMW crew and is now living with his parents.

Probably reacting to the report serving rounds, he used the new tattoo to prove himself to be loyal to his boss and to dispel any rumors of conflict in the DMW crew.

Davido’s personal logistics manager, Israel has issued a disclaimer regarding the working relationship between his boss, Davido and Aloma.

Israel announced via Instagram that Aloma is no longer Davido’s personal assistant, adding that anyone who does any business with Aloma, does so at his or her own risk.

Nigerian singer, Bez Idakula has taken to his social media page to share a “super interesting” story of how his wife prophesied they will get married shortly after they met while he was still in a relationship with another woman.

The singer said he had just finished performing when she walked up to him, complimented his performance, and bought two of his CDs. He said she told him to sign it for her and added that he will be her husband someday.

Controversial Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has said he sees no reason of constantly showing off his wealth on social media.

He gave his own ’50 Cents’ on the issue of entertainers and celebrities feeling the urge to constantly flaunt their wealth and luxurious lifestyle on social media.

The rapper in a recent Twitter post, stated that he does not see the need to constantly show off his riches of assets.

He went further to say that the reason he does not flaunt his riches online is solely because he has the real money as such, there’s no need to try and prove a point.

“I don’t see the constant need in showing off because I actually have real money,” he wrote.

On Friday night, a mild drama ensued in the house when Erica had a face-off with Wathoni over Kiddwaya.

Erica confronted Wathoni to discuss the issue which was a little bit about KIDDWAYA but Wathoni walked out on her for insulting her son.

Erica had said Wathoni is a 29-year-old who has failed to act her age.

Yahoo boy to control traffic in Ilorin for 3 months over internet fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Illorin Zonal Office, has secured the conviction of one Kolade Emmanuel Balogun, who was charged to court for offences bordering on internet fraud.

The charge against the suspect read;

“That you, KOLADE BALOGUN (a.k.a Willam Davis, alias Behemoth) sometime in March 2020 or thereabout at Ilorin, Kwara State within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court attempted to commit an offence of cheating by impersonation, pretending and representing yourself to be a white man called Willam Davis, alias Behemoth to an unsuspected white woman on dating site called SeekingArrangement as it is contained in your Gmail account: Willamdavis@gmail.com and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 95 of the Penal Code Law of Northern Nigeria.”

The young man was found guilty of the charges against him after being arraigned before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin.

The judge ordered him to pay a fine of N50,000 and control traffic at a junction behind the Kwara State Ministry of Physical Planning for three months commencing from August 17 to October 17, 2020.

He also ordered that other items like phones and laptops recovered from him, should be forfeited to the Federal Government.

Lady shares how her uncle told her mum that she’s a prostitute because of her “apartment”

A Twitter user with the handle @tillytate20 on the social networking platform has shared that women who are successful are always referred to as “Ashewo” (prostitutes), even by their family members.

The lady took to the platform to narrate how her uncle who visited her house, went back home to tell her mother that she is into prostitution because she can’t afford the kind of apartment she lives in.

She revealed he was surprised to find out that her mum was the one who paid the house rent for her.

She wrote,

“My uncle came to my house for the first time and went back and told my mum I was doing prostitution in PHC and there was no way I could afford my apartment. My mum pays my rent so imagine his suprise. Ashawo is what you will get, even from family, know that and know peace.”

Youth group requests FG to ban porn and dating sites from Nigeria’s cyberspace

The Arewa Youth Consultative Council (AYCC) has requested that the Federal Government block sexual and immorally-related sites from the Nigerian cyberspace.

According to the group this request is the youths progressive effort to building the nation.

In a statement signed by the group’s spokesperson, Muhammad Ibrahim, on Friday, August 14, 2020, AYCC said it is concerned by the exposure of Nigerian youths to ‘sexual contamination’.

The group said the exposure of Nigerian youths to sexual content is fueling a culture of indecency, immorality and increasing cases of sexual misbehavior.

Arewa youth in a two page letter addressed to the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, called on the government to quickly intervene in blocking immoral and sexual sites.

Similarly, they suggested that individuals or companies that refuse to comply with the ban should be fined in billions 

A part of the statement reads;

“we’re confident that your intervention can greatly block or cripple the emerging new order of indecency, immorality, and increasing cases of sexual behaviors. Sexualized interactions, immoral communications, exposure to pornography, online dating and other social ills. This is sacrosanct, as the phenomena is growing rapidly  everyday. we must do something as a nation that believe in christianity and Islam even thpugh we claim to be secular, yet no religion or culture , tribe or section of Nigerians can justify the incestous exposure of our youth to sexual contamination”.

 

However , the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, in response on his Twitter account, said the group should redirect the request instead to the Ministry of Information and Culture, headed by Lai Mohammed.

Corn meal allegedly kills 7 family members in Zamfara; husband goes insane

Seven members of the same family dies of food poisoning at Auki village of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The deceased family members consists of two housewives and five children. The husband is reported to have developed a mental disorder, as a result of their demise.

According to an eye witness, the family members died on Tuesday night after consuming a meal prepared with corn (Tuwon Masala) by one of the housewives.

He also revealed that they developed stomach pains after consuming the food.

Three persons died instantly and four persons were pronounced dead at Bungudu General Hospital, Zamfara state.

The doctor on duty confirmed that the deceased died of food poisoning.

It was gathered that the husband who was not home when his family ate the meal has developed a mental disorder and can neither speak nor eat.

Petrol tanker explosion in Imo state leaves one dead and three others injured (Graphic photos)

One person has been burnt to death with three others injured after a petroleum tanker exploded at a filling station in Irete community along the Owerri-Onitsha Expressway in Owerri-West Local Government Area of Imo state earlier today, August 14th.

Confirming the incident, co-ordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in Imo state, Evans Ugoh, revealed that after discharging its content at the filling station, the petroleum tanker was about reversing and maneuvering its way out of the premises when it was hit by a J5 commercial bus conveying pineapples on top speed.

The bus lost control and rammed into the truck, leading to a heavy explosion. Mr. Ugoh confirmed that one of the occupants of the J5 commercial bus, a female, died on the spot while 3 other persons who sustained fatal injuries have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

He said, however, officials of the IMO state fire service, Red Cross, Civil defense, the Nigerian Police and NEMA officials were all on the ground for rescue operations.

The Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board (LSFVCB) issued a 30-day notice for producers of audio and visual products to register their contents.

According to the Board’s Executive Secretary, Mr Bamidele Balogun, henceforth all audio and visual contents produced within Lagos state shall attract the payment of 5% levy on each item.

This new policy definitely did not go down well with some Lagosians as they have taken to their social media accounts to condemn the proposed plan.

Twitter user, @tryraisins connected the dots and tweeted that this policy came barely 24hrs after popular kids famous for remaking blockbuster movies, Ikorodubois received high-tech gadgets from Netflix.

Big Brother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate, Erica has revealed that all the guys in Big Brother’s house want her.

The beautiful actress made the disclosure this during a discussion with the billionaire son, where she tagged him a flirt, adding that he’s too free with all the girls in the house.

She said she feels he is leading all the girls on by acting friendly to them, and right now, they feel they can get him if they want.

According to her, all the guys in the house want to date her but they know they can’t have her because she doesn’t flirt with them, unlike him.

Police rescue 32 -year-old man who was locked up in a room by his father and stepmother for 7 years (Photos/Video)

One Ahmad Aliyu, 32, has in new reports, been rescued by the Kano state police command after he was said to have been locked up in a room by his father and stepmother for seven years in Farawa Babban Layi, Mariri Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area of the State.

According to the reports, men of the Kano State police command came to Aliyu’s rescue after a video showing his sad state went viral.

Aliyu looked emaciated and dehydrated in the viral video — he had spent days without food and water and reportedly drank his own urine whenever he was tasty.

A concerned neighbor alerted the police in Farawa and members of a non-governmental organization, Human Rights Network.

It’s reported that Ahmad was “imprisoned” by his father and stepmother on the suspicion that he had started smoking and getting involved in drug consumption. The police arrested his father and stepmother and took away their victim.

Ikota residents pray over faulty transformer (video)

Residents of Ikota Housing estate in Ajah, Lagos state, converged on Friday morning August 14, for prayers over the faulty transformer in the area.

According to Twitter user @Kay_Tylor, who shared the video online, the PHCN officials have brought four different transformers to their area and the four have gone bad, throwing them into perpetual darkness.

The residents converged to pray against the principalities and powers causing the transformers to go bad all the time.

During their rather intimate romance session, the love pair talked about their affection towards each other and how it all started.

Erica shared of how her feelings for the billionaire heir became stronger after they made out one Saturday night. She revealed that although it wasn’t planned, she just couldn’t hold herself back.

During their discussion however, Erica can be seen running her lips down his nipples while Kiddwaya blushed and laughed in excitement.

They also locked lips severally as Kidd talked about her smile.
