A Nigerian Twitter user, with username, Chief Jesus Mouthpiece, has taken to the platform to tell American rapper, Cardi B, that Jesus is not the reason for any success she has attained in her career.
He said this, while reacting to a tweet the raper shared on her page. In the tweet, an elated Cardi praised God for the huge success of her latest song, WAP.

CCTV footage has exposed a 30-year-old man who raped an 11-year-old girl in Sapele, Delta State.
The suspect identified as Jomaph was said to have denied raping the young girl and threatened to arrest her and her family members.
The Nation reported that the victim was assaulted when she went to use a convenience room, from where she came out minutes later crying and saying she had been abused by the suspect.

On Sunday, August 16, 2020, Kaisha became the fifth housemate to be evicted from the Betway sponsored Big Brother Naija Lockdown house. She recently embarked on a media tour of radio stations in Lagos where she discussed her experiences in the house and plans for the future.
Due to her stilted relationship with the housemates, some viewers were surprised that Kaisha managed to scale past the first set of evictions, and how she was saved by the housemates during the second Eviction Night. Kaisha managed to spend four weeks in Big Brother’s house, which is no small feat.
Still, her eviction came as no surprise to viewers. Kaisha explained that her eviction did not catch her by surprise either because she believed the other BBNaija housemates did not like her.
Kaisha had a lot to say about her time in the house. She addressed her first BBNaija Diary Session where she broke down and cried as she complained about the other housemates being fake. She said that her expectations about being in the house was very different from the reality she experienced there.
‘At a point I was bothered because I wanted to be understood but the housemates didn’t want to understand me.’
At the last party, it seemed as though there was some sort of chemistry between Kaisha and Neo, but she corrected everyone on that score – Neo was the first person in the house who made an effort to get to know her, so she likes him, but has no romantic feelings for him.
Despite being evicted, Kaisha says if she could go back to the house, she would not change anything, but would go on being her usual self. In her opinion, this might have been why she got booted out of the house – she was being herself and the housemates saw her as a threat to get rid of.
‘They can’t stand the heat and they had to let me go… If I had one more week in the house, I would have won the show.’
About the housemates she left behind in the BBNaija Lockdown house, Kaisha thinks most of the romantic relationships are not real but are only strategies to win the show. She also said that Erica was choosing Kiddwaya over Laycon because he was more financially buoyant.
When asked which housemate would win the show, Kaisha told us she would be betting on Dorathy because she was being her authentic self.
Kaisha is grateful to the organisers of Big Brother Naija for the opportunity given to her, but now that she’s out of the house, she plans to continue her education, grow her skincare business, and delve into the world of entertainment.

Abdullahi Salisu, 27, who allegedly assaulted Bintu Adams, a 100 year old woman was arraigned at the Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
The prosecution counsel, Insp. Sunday Osanyintuyi alleged that the defendant perpetrated this crime on Sunday, August 16 around 3.45pm at Sabo, Ile-Ife.
Osanyintuyi told the court that the defendant and others, who are still at large, attacked Bintu Adams and inflicted injuries on her forehead.
He claimed that the defendant also attacked a 20 year old housewife, one Mrs Usman Adamu.
The offence, he said, violated the provisions of sections 355 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2020.
The defendant was charged with three counts of conspiracy, assault and causing hurt, however he pleaded not guilty.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Leke Dada, pleaded for the bail of the defendant in most Liberal terms.
Magistrate A. A. Ayeni granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like amount.
Ayeni ordered that the sureties must swear to affidavit of means, reside within the court jurisdiction and the addresses must be verified by the prosecutor.
He adjourned the hearing until Sept 24.
In related news, a middle-aged man, David Kigoma Onguyi was arraigned in court after verbally abusing a female trader at Maasai Market in Kenya.
The porter-cum-menial worker was charged with creating disturbance in a manner likely to cause breach of peace, after insulting the woman identified simply as Nyaboke at the market where she runs a Maasai curio shop on January 5, 2020.
The heated exchange ensued after the suspect who took a customer to Nyaboke’s shop on December 19 where she bought goods worth Ksh500, refused giving her the money but promised to settle the debt “later in the day”.
All attempts for Onguyi to give Nyaboke the money was futile, leading to claims of the trader’s private part stinking at the market where other traders and customers watched in disbelief. Continue reading here

Terseer Waya alias Kiddwaya is the son of a Benue State billionaire, Terry Waya. He made the statement while talking to his love interest, Erica – former Deputy HoH.
His fellow housemates, especially Ozo and Wathoni deemed the comments insensitive and this were angered by it.
However, he apologized today, saying his comments were “quite insensitive but wasn’t an attack on anybody.”

Nollywood Veteran actor, Kanayo O. Kanayo has condemned the act of men kneeling to propose. He described it as being un-African and copied from the western world.
The actor expressed his agreement with Pete Edochie’s statement in an Instagram live video where he said that the practice is not part of our culture.

A carpenter in Kogi, was stabbed to death on Monday, while he was trying to prevent his neighbour, Murtala Dare, from assaulting a prostitute at a popular bar in Lokoja.
Dare and Lukeman are neighbors, who own shops opposite the popular drinking spot where call girls used the behind for short time.
According to report, Dare wanted to beat the prostitute for taking a customer to the back of the building for a quickie.
The suspect usually collects money for the use of the spot, so he interrupted their rump and threatened to beat the girl for not paying him.
Dare who is now in police custody was said to have interrupted the sex rump and threatened to beat the call girl. It was, however, gathered that the intervention by late Lukeman to stop Dare from being violent, angered Dare who broke a bottle and allegedly stabbed Lukeman Kabiru on the neck.

Nigerian On-air personality, Oluwatoyin Oki has strongly debunked the rumour that she secretly got married to 81-year-old Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.

A Nigerian is left heartbroken after finding out his wife of 10 years has been sleeping with Doctor in a hospital where she goes to, for antenatal.
According to the man, his wife is a very quiet person who appears reserved but got disappointed to find out she is “a big serpent”.
He revealed that whenever his wife is pregnant, she insists on a particular hospital and Doctor, not knowing she has been sleeping with him all the while.
They have two kids and she is currently pregnant with their third child. He has sent her packing and has subjected his 2 children to DNA test and is awaiting result.
