An Instagram user with user name azaaa_firequeen has taken to her page to share a photo of her 48-year-old aunty who is writing the ongoing West Africa senior school certificate examination.
According to her, this is the first time the 48-year old woman would be sitting for the exam.
The lady revealed that her aunt whom she identified as Christina Samuel is a village farmer, and had no previous education because she was poor and had 3 kids from an early marriage.
Christina Samuel sends her kids to school, depending solely on farming as her source of income.
The 48-year-old mother of 3 is ready to pursue her life long dream of becoming an auxiliary nurse, even if she would starve to achieve her desire of being educated.

A 57 year old pastor identified as Ebenezer Ajigbotoluwa, who allegedly impregnated two underage sisters and scammed their mother of the sum of N1.5million in Ogun state, has pleaded with the public not to use him as a standard for judging other pastors.
The pastor is the founder of Church of the Lord of Israel, Olomore, Abeokuta.
Ajigbotoluwa was paraded alongside 37 other suspected criminals yesterday, August 17, at the Ogun state police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The pastors’s statement,
“There is no man of God that Satan will not hunt, except the person that his time has not come.
If I can have favour from God, Nigerians and the government, then it is my promise that I will turn a new leaf and I will be preaching to prisoners.
I will be going to cells to preach to them; that is the kind of ministry I want to establish to change people if God can give me the grace. If I knew it was bad, I wouldn’t have done it; as it’s happening now, it is a disgrace to me.
I am crying because of God, because the name of God should not be put to shame, especially when you’re talking of white garment church.
For my sake, nobody should desert, abuse or harass them or say that there is no minister of God or say that there is no God or say that they will not worship God. I am only a sinner, somebody else might not be,” he said.

A Nigerian twitter @ehival has taken to the platform to seek for justice for a 21-year-old that was kidnapped and raped.
According to the Twitter thread, Zainab is learning fashion designing, and was abducted on her her from work , on the 10th of August 2020.
He said, “On her way home from work on August 10, she was around Olateju, Mushin, when an SUV stopped beside her and a man, whose name was given as Babatunde Qudus, popularly known as Ovation in the area, allegedly came down from the car with a gun.
The following day, he dropped her by the road after threatening that her life would be in danger if she tells anyone.
Zainab reportedly told her parents and the case was reported at the Olosan police station after which the victim was taken to the hospital for tests.
She has now been placed on HIV drugs and other medications and the incident has left her depressed.
It was also alleged that the police officers have been compromised due to the influence of the accused. Also, Zainab and her parents have allegedly received threats to force them to drop the case.
The victim however confirm the story by responding to the Tweet.
She thanked Twitter users for their support and added that her hope is that she can “recover from this trauma.”
A South African woman has caused stir on social media, Twitter after she celebrated getting a divorce from her husband.
The woman, Lungi Shozi (@IamlungiDee) on Monday, August 17, shared images after getting the divorce.

Prince made this known in a conversation with his love interest Tolanibaj after she complained of him holding back on their ‘romance’.

Evicted BBNaija housemate, Tochi has confirmed that male and female housemates have their bath together on the reality TV show.
He confirmed this, in an interview after his eviction from the show.
“Yea we showered together. I was in the shower with Ka3na and Lucy,” He said.
Recall that Eric, in one of his media tours, earlier confirmed the story that two of the reality TV contestants, Ozo and Nengi have been bathing together in the house.
However, Nengi had denied having a shower with Ozo, saying she was in the bathroom to talk privately with the male housemate.

A South African lady, has taken to the street of Twitter to call out her pastor, who is also her ex boyfriend for allegedly raping her.
The Twitter user with username @zinchle2 revealed that she decided to publicly accuse the pastor, because she didn’t get any support from her church after the incident happened.
She noted that she reported the incident to the church, but nothing was done. She also opened a case but the prosecutor asked why she wants to arrest her pastor.
According to Zinchle, communities, law and churches fail women when it comes to gender based violence.
Narrating the ordeal, she said she went into a relationship with the pastor , and made it clear from the beginning that she doesn’t believe in sex before marriage and the boyfriend agreed.
She noted that she was still a virgin at the time, however, one night, when she stayed over at his house, he allegedly raped her.
In her words,
“So we once spent a night together. He didn’t seem to have a problem, he respected my body. 2nd time we chilled together. When we got into the room we kissed since we were in a relationship…undressed but he knew he wouldn’t penetrate…next thing he is being forceful, maybe cause of being intoxicated, “I don’t drink alcohol”. He started hitting my thighs and penetrated me forcefully. I was in tears. HE RAPED ME (28th of April 2019).
“As I am a member of @OasisChurchza , I reported the case to them since he is a pastor at their church. I didn’t get the support I was expecting. I kept on going to different people to get my matter attended to. I opened the case but the prosecutor @shainaNadioo asked me, “Why are you arresting your Pastor?” and also said my case is weak so…it didn’t make it court.
“I didn’t receive the support I was expecting. I served in multiple ministries in the church, one of them being LADIES COMMITEE but not even one lady got close to me and supported me.
“Our communities. Law, Churches… They fail us when it comes to #GenderBasedViolence. We really need people who will stand firm”, She added.

Big Bother Naija ‘lockdown’ housemate Lucy, on Monday night broke down in tears as she bemoaned her fellow housemates attitude to food.
The housemates had an argument on Monday night over food sharing and hoarding of meals and after the fracas, immediate past HOH, Erica went to the garden and had a conversation with Lucy.
During the conversation, Lucy broke down in tears as she complained about housemates judging her.
In her words ;
“How do you people sit down and judge me for the same thing I am doing for the good of the house!
“No one does anything for me but when I do they are not satisfied.

Erica, consoling Lucy, advised her not to over stretch herself in the house but to do her personal stuff.

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, have arrested a serving military personnel, Lance Corporal Ajayi Kayode and 26 others for alleged internet fraud in the Lekki axis of Lagos State.
A statement released by the antigraft agency says Kayode, with service number NAF18/34732, was arrested in his military attire during an early morning raid at 6B, Fatai Idowu Arobike, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, on Saturday, August 15, 2020, following intelligence received from concerned members of the public about his alleged involvement in criminal activities.
He was arrested alongside Kalu Emmanue; Hassan Sunday; Odinaka David Okem; Victor Ochiabuito; Christopher Prince; Victor Ologhu; Alex Aka; Miracle Onyekwere; Habeeb Ayomide; Olakunle Ajeigbu, Rasheed Olanrewaju and Salam Hakeem.
In his statement to the EFCC, Kayode said the “big shot yahoo yahoo boys” who he was arrested alongside, were his friends and that they had been teaching him how to make money through cybercrime.
While the “boys” are alleged members of Organised Cyber Criminal Syndicate Network, OCCSN, the ladies arrested with them confirmed the alleged involvement of their “boyfriends” in internet fraud.
Items recovered from the suspects include diamond jewelry, exotic cars and expensive phones.

A man has bagged 50 years imprisonment by an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court, for raping a 19-year-old student of UNILAG on campus.
John Otema, a 34-year-old UNILAG graduate, was charged before Justice Abiola Soladoye with three counts of rape and assault occasioning harm on two female students.
Otema was found guilty on two-counts of rape and assault occasioning harm in respect of the rape of the 19-year-old student.
He bagged 50-years in prison for the rape and three-years in prison for the assault with both sentences to run concurrently.

Popular Nigerian socialite and supposed BDC operator, Ismaila Mustapha, aka Mompha, has been rearrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged money laundering.
Mompha is currently facing money laundering charges before the Federal High Court — it was revealed that he was re-arrested last Friday when he went to the EFCC office in Ikoyi, Lagos
He was at the office to reclaim his five wristwatches, one Apple Air pod, one iPhone 8 mobile phones and one pair of sunglasses seized from him by the anti-graft agency, following a court order.
According to reports, Mompha had barely left the premises of the EFCC office after collecting the items, when operatives of the anti-graft agency waylaid him and returned him into custody.
His lawyer, Oyewole, confirmed the re -arrest, vowing to challenge it in court, according to Punch.
Oyewole said;
“I am filing processes tomorrow (Tuesday); they didn’t tell us why they are detaining him . They have not told us the basis for this re-arrest.
“As far as we are concerned, the EFCC is seeking to overreach the court because this is coming after we filed our no-case submission to the charges. “When they had the opportunity to amend their charges they didn’t and they are claiming that there is a new charge.”
EFCC spokesman, Dele Oyewale said; “The fresh arrest is unconnected to the existing charges in court. It is related to Internet fraud.”

Nollywood Actress, Tonto Dikeh, has commended the Federal Government for creating different platforms for the development of the youth.
According to the actress, the government is doing a lot in carrying along the nation`s youths , but its effort is usually criticized by fake news, trending on social media.
The new Director of Socials and Empowerment Committee of Youth on Mobilisation and Sensitisation (CYMS), While speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) urged Nigerian youths to stand firm by the leaders to build the country, rather than destroying its image.
She said,
“I actually think that the government is doing a lot. Prior to being a member of the CYMS, I didn’t have the knowledge of the fact that the government has so many platforms assigned to youths to be able to get them to the next level.
“I didn’t know that because something that is actually, is worse than the pandemic which is actually eating into our society and that is fake news, which is wrong news, which is bad news.
“Which is what we have and always have been getting, the news that the government is trying to help the youths or the platform in which they help the youth are not found.
“The information just stops half way, and it`s not getting to the people who actually need it. “
The Nollywood actress, however, said that CYMS, being a mobilisation and sensitisation organisation, was working to ensure that youths are enlightened by the organisation so as not to give up on the government`s programmes.
According to her, CYMS has many empowerment programmes with different initiatives for the youths.

Nollywood actress, Rita Dominicreposted a video from Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN) urging the Federal Government to reopen cinemas in Nigeria.
In the video, the CEAN showed a list of countries that has reopened their cinemas with safety measures in place and appealed to the Nigerian Government to follow suit.

The wedding ceremony of one Mr Emmanuel Adedoyin and his bride, was delayed for hours due to heavy Lagos traffic, over the weekend.
The grooms parent were stuck in traffic and the grooms father had the bride price with him.
According to PUNCH, the groom, Emmanuel left his residence in Arepo – an Ogun community along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway – together with some of his friends at 9am to the wedding venue, about 42 kilometres away in Ejigbo, Lagos State.
Although the event was to start at 2pm, the 31-year-old got to the venue at 10am that Sunday.
He waited patiently, for his parents to arrive so the event could start.
Unfortunately, terrible traffic ensued on Lagos highways that Sunday and turned out to be big a monster holding his parents’ car for several hours on Ikorodu-Road.
Emmanuel’s father said; “Two relations, my wife and I were stuck in traffic for hours and the bride price was with me.”
Adedoyin disclosed that he and his wife left Arepo at 12.30pm, thinking it would be a smooth drive all the way, being a weekend when traffic was usually free.
“We left home at that time on the assumption that there would be no traffic,” he disclosed as he began to narrate the troubled time he endured that day.
Back at the wedding venue, tension continued to mount as everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the groom’s parents. The event was put on hold and to douse the tension, the bride’s family had to employ the weird side. A table tennis was quickly put together to keep the guests entertained as some of them had started leaving the venue, Adedoyin said.
He added that;
“We started running into traffic at Seven Up, Ojota. We turned back to link Kudirat Abiola Way and met another traffic. We then manoeuvered until we linked the Third Mainland Bridge.
“By the time we got to Oworonsoki junction, it was hell. The car we were in was overheating. It was already 5pm and calls were coming in repeatedly from my son’s in-laws. I kept on telling them we were on our way and that we were held in traffic.
“When we got to Anthony on Ikorodu Road, I could no longer manage the overheating. I had to park the vehicle at a safe place. I immediately took a bus from there to Oshodi.”
At Oshodi, Adedoyin got caught up in another mess. Commercial bus drivers were unwilling to take passengers who wanted to drop off at Iyana Isolo.
“I boarded a bus and on getting to Charity (the bus stop next to Iyana Isolo), I told the driver, I would alight at Iyana Isolo. The driver was mad at me because he had already said he would not stop there.
“I pretended as if I was a stranger in Lagos and was begging him to drop me off. Meanwhile, I was by the door side, determined to jump down at any slight opportunity.
“The conductor blocked the door; he didn’t want me to disembark. Passengers joined to beg on my behalf and he eventually stopped. It was already 7pm. I immediately took a bus to Ejigbo. I didn’t get to Ejigbo until 9pm. I took a N500 bike from Ejigbo to the church where the engagement held. I prostrated to apologise to my son’s father-in-law,”
He explained that his wife and two other members of the family came in an hour later to witness whatever they could make out of the event.
“Lagos traffic is terrible. Since I relocated to Abuja some years back, I feel discouraged to come to Lagos because of the traffic. I don’t even know what really caused the traffic that day because there was no accident.
“My son (the groom) had gone there since morning. I was even abusing him for going there early. Even the food we were taking to the venue got there late,” Adedoyin lamented.
