“Twerking does not look good. It’s not a dance skill, it’s not sexy or attractive. It’s literally a mating call, it’s screaming please look at me and tell me I’m sexy! Men don’t find that attractive, ask any man if they want their wife/girlfriend twerking and they’d tell you No!”
Twerking does not look good. It’s not a dance skill, it’s not sexy or attractive. It’s literally a mating call, it’s screaming please look at me and tell me I’m sexy! Men don’t find that attractive, ask any man if they want their wife/girlfriend twerking and they’d tell you No!
After her tweets went viral, folks on social media have dragged her to the teeth.
Most social media users are replying her tweets with videos of themselves twerking.
Here are some comments/replies to her tweet below;
@18ktCock: Twerking has literally been around since the 90s, it’s not new and the whole shaking your bum dancing style descends from some traditional African dances I swear? I get what Ur saying to an extent, but bum shaking dancing been going on hundreds if not thousands of years
@YungTatum: Doesn’t really matter what I think but I agree. When it comes to actual dancing skills and moves…I would say twerking is at the bottom of the list…not much twerking in ballet I don’t think
@bluemiiints: Why this tweet sound like you really can’t twerk so your plan is to abolish it.
@matt_abstract_: “Mating call” intresting how you use animalistic terms to describe dancing made popular by Black women. You telling on yourself and it’s sad. Seek help.
@kaiserkerfer: I would very much appreciate it if my hypothetical significant other twerked
@GhMuscle_Lover: This tweet clearly makes me realise that a lotta of black people need to start reading up or taking African History and culture courses. We been twerking long before the pink-skins dropped on our continent.
@TweetOrSTFU: This is stupid, because only time twerking is not “attractive” is when blsck woman are doing it, anytime u got a white girl twerking to the beat, nobody is saying it’s not attractive… Foh
@speakmymind2020: Maybe in private but I definitely would NOT want my girl twerking in public or on social media. Not a classy look imo
@EyeDonyell: 1. You can definitely block all of the twerking, you do not have to look at.
2. You do need some type of skill to perform the said dance.
3. It is sexy and attractive in a lot of cases.
4. Men do find it attractive.
5. Have you ever rode a d*** before?
@VofDoom: [in hushed tones] And here we have a feral PickMe bird. They’re not exactly rare, having more in common with their cousins, the pigeon but fascinating to behold nonetheless.
HARK! She squacks in anger over a different bird’s mating call. Ironically, that’s THEIR mating call.

Digital Transformation Leader, Globacom, has unveiled a new tariff plan that makes it possible for its subscribers to make calls to any network in Nigeria at 11 kobo per second.
This is the latest in a series of moves by the telecommunications giant to give its subscribers more value for their money, especially at these trying Corona virus pandemic times.
Subscribers on this new tariff plan will be able to make calls to all networks in Nigeria at 11 kobo per second after paying a N7 access charge, which is billed together with the first call of the day. Every call they make to any network in Nigeria for the rest of the day will be billed at 11 kobo per second (exclusive of tax). If a customer does not make any call but only receives calls throughout the day, he or she will not have to pay the access fee of seven Naira.
According to a press release from the corporate headquarters of the telecommunications company in Lagos on Monday, the new tariff plan is open to both existing and new prepaid customers.
All that is required for a customer to access the new tariff plan is to dial *311# and he or she will be automatically migrated to the Glo 11k per second plan.
Existing rates for SMS and international calls remain the same as customers on the new tariff plan will pay the standard SMS and IDD tariff. However, customers can purchase any IDD Pack of their choice to enjoy a better international call rate on the Glo network.
“It is our desire to continually delight our customers with innovative products and services at the most competitive rates in the country,” Glo said in the statement, adding, “This new tariff plan is another manifestation of that burning desire to add value to the lives of our customers and make it more convenient and affordable to communicate with one another”.
Big Brother, otherwise known as “Biggie”, on Thursday, advised housemate, Laycon, on how to deal with his feelings for his love interest, Erica.
It should be recalled that Laycon caught feelings and declared his intention to Erica.
Laycon was turned down on Tuesday as Erica made it clear to him that she is physically attracted to male housemate, Kiddwaya, and just mentally attracted to him.
Erica then left the singer and returned to Kiddwaya earlier on Thursday. However, in his recent diary session, Biggie told Laycon to have respect for his fellow housemate’s decision.
Laycon’s Diary Session:
“Hello Big Brother. Thank you, Big Brother. Well, I’m feeling a lot of emotions. I feel sad and optimistic. Well, I’m attracted to a Housemate, but she is only attracted to me mentally not physically, so I’m sad about that.
“Can I get advice from the housemate I’m attracted to in the house?”, Laycon asked Biggie.
Biggie said: “Laycon, matters of the heart could be fickle and at the end of the day you need to respect your housemate’s decision or perhaps follow the friendship and if not then you need to be honest.”
A tweet which asked people to “tell their partners that they need a two weeks break from their relationship” became a viral thread on the social networking platform as people replied the tweet with the hilarious responses they got from their partners after pulling the prank.
While some of them had their partners beg them not to embark on the “relationship leave”, other people’s partners seemed to be unbothered with their request and asked them to do what they please, much to the prankster’s surprise.
Some were unable to prank their partners as the latter were already aware of what they were up to. The responses are however hilarious as people get to see where their relationship stands; whether their partner can’t do without them or whether the opposite is the case.
The lady who started the thread wrote,
Text your partner and ask for 2 weeks break from the relationship, quote this tweet with their response

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has said that Nigerians will only see the achievements of the President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), if they “calm down”.
Adesina stated this in an article he published titled ”Why We Need to Calm Down’.
Making reference to a viral video of the little Oreofeoluwa Babalola pleading with his mother to calm down after she attempted to beat him for a wrongdoing, Adesina said Nigerians need to calm down and stop being angry about the problems plaguing the nation.
”But if the truth be told, that message from the boy is for the entire country. We need to calm down. We are too uptight, nervy, edgy. We grumble, murmur too much, call the government a lot of names, try to demonize those serving the nation, when it could be “our last chance. Last chance in the world” to really fix things.
If you listen to some people; angry youths, religious leaders, political analysts, newspaper columnists, news reviewers, so-called activists, then nothing positive is happening in the country. It is all about insurgency, banditry, killings, joblessness, corruption, lack and deprivation. True? False!
Those things are there, as they are also in many countries of the world. But they are not the only things happening in Nigeria. Only that we would not see the positive things, except we calmed down. We would never enjoy the rainfall, if we expect rainstorm to carry away our rooftop at any moment. Calm down. “I’m just telling you to be ‘calming’ down.” his article reads
Listing some of the achievements of the Buhari administration, Adesina further wrote:
”One of my favorite boyhood songs is the one by Jimmy Cliff. ‘Keep Your Eyes on the Sparrow.’
Here I stand with my head down in my hand Wondering what on earth I have done wrong There’s a cloud that has overshadowed me Blocks the light from my eyes, I cannot see But I know where I wanta be Right or wrong, I’ve got to face my destiny
Somebody tell me to Keep your eyes on the sparrow Keep your eyes on the sparrow Keep it on, keep it on now Keep your eyes on the sparrow.
That is a song of hope. It’s a song of encouragement. The God Book says God keeps His eyes on the sparrow, and none can fall down without His permission. If He watches over a bird, how much more we human beings, created in His image? But man has walked away from that original estate. We sit on the complaint counter. We murmur, curse, cavil. We rail against God, against man, against government, even against our own selves. We indulge in hate speech, concoct and spread fake news. And it blinds our eyes. It blocks the light from our eyes, and we cannot see. We never see good, even when it surrounds us. We focus only on negative narratives.
Let me give a practical example. Last Sunday, one of the guests on Sunday Politics, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye of Channels Television, was one Group Captain Sadeeq Garba (Retd). He was also deputy head of safety and security at the African Union Commission, and now a private security consultant.
The retired Air Force Officer was asked to talk about the worrisome trend of killings in the country. The man said the killings were sad and regrettable, but things were not as completely negative as some people and interest groups would want to make them seem.
Quoting what he called reliable statistics from the Centre for Research in the United States, he gave these figures of the evil development from 2011, in number of total killings: 2011-1096 2012-3761 2013-7167 2014-15,600 2015- Not available 2016-4618 2017-5763 2018-6565 2019-8350 2020-6195, as at June.
Now, one life lost is already too many. One single life should not be taken wantonly, not to talk of in hundreds and thousands. It is bestial, inhuman. But why do some people want to make it appear as if we hadn’t passed through worse times in this country? Forget about who was in power as President. It is not about individuals now, it is about the descent of a country into the Hobbesian state of nature, where life is nasty, brutish and short. For President Muhammadu Buhari, it’s a solemn pledge that lives and property would be secured. And a lot is being done in that direction, though we are not there yet. Unkind, negative comments can only demoralize those fighting to secure the country.
When the President said recently that things were better in the area of security than what he met in 2015, some people wailed endlessly, as is their wont to. But when the Group Captain came with facts and figures on national television last Sunday, not one word was heard. Not even a whimper! Why do people like to spread negative, rather than positive developments? Killings dropped from 15,600 in 2014 to 4,618 in 2016. But not one positive word. Simply because their eyes are blinded by negative thoughts and sentiments. And they now need to calm down. Rather than upbraid, our security agencies should be challenged and encouraged to rediscover what they did in 2016.
During the week, Ministry of Power said electricity generation had returned to over 5,000 megawatts. Not a word from professional complainers. If it had dropped to below 1,000 megawatts, we would not have heard anything else. Calm down. “I’m just telling you to be ‘calming’ down.”
If we calm down, what would we see? Massive infrastructural developments. Roads, rail, airports, bridges, efforts to reverse power deficit of many decades, newly approved Youth Bank to empower the younger generation, strident efforts to secure the country, N2.3 trillion stimulus package to combat the negative effect of COVID-19, and many other positive developments. There are many, and many more.
Jesus looked at Jerusalem, and wept over it, saying: “if thou hadst known in this day, even thou, the things which belong unto thy peace. But now, they are hid from thine eyes.” (Luke 19:42).”
