Photos of the parents of little boy who was seen in a viral video begging his mother to calm down have surfaced the internet.

Their little boy was seen in the video crying and begging his mom to ‘calm down and rest a little’ before taking any action against him.

After some minutes of begging to no avail, he went down on his knees and continued bargaining with his mother, in order to escape the punishment.

His mom stood her ground, insisting that she was going to flog him despite his excessive plea. However, the video didn’t reveal if he was later punished or pardoned.

Little boy who asked his mum to “calm down” bags ambassadorial deal with anti domestic violence NGO

The little lad in a recent viral video who asked his mother to “calm down” has bagged a juicy ambassadorial deal with an anti domestic violence NGO.

The nongovernmental organization, Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation gave the announcement on their Facebook page.

After they came across the video his mother made of him and falling in love with him, the NGO declared search for him. They wrote…

“Calm Down!
We, the president, (Chief Dozie Kaidi Obiaku), members and trustees of the Combat Domestic Violence and Abuse Foundation would like to enjoin the general public to help us get to the boy in the viral video.

We would love to make him an ambassador.

Every violence in the world could be avoided if we learnt to clam down.

We have adopted ‘Calm down’ as a key mantra now and we would love to bring the boy in as one of us.

Please help us find him. Thank you.”

Upon finding the boy and meeting with his family, the Nongovernmental organization took to Facebook again and wrote…

Tragedy strikes as newly married soldier is shot dead by fellow military colleague in Borno

A newly married military officer was reportedly shot dead by his colleague in Borno state after they had a misunderstanding.

Lieutenant Babakaka Shehu Ngorgi of the 202 Battalion, who got married in December 2019, was having a conversation to his wife Hauwa Alhaji Kolomi when one of his colleagues shot him from the back six times in Bama, Borno.

After shooting him, the attacker was reportedly heard screaming, “I have achieved my aim.” It is not yet clear why the soldier killed Lt Ngorgi, who is his senior in the army and on the battlefield.

Good day, everyone.

Yesterday was one of the most confusing days for me. For a moment, I almost ran mad.

Two weeks ago, I didn’t even know what betting was like. Never done it, never experienced it. I hardly knew what the numbers meant.

Fast forward to yesterday, Tuesday, 28 July, I was risking a client’s money on a game I thought was ‘a sure bet.’

It was an eSports game I’ve been following for a while. I knew the players involved were very skilled and could score for fun. They did so in over 10 successive matches last night. So I thought it was worthwhile betting they’d score at least 2 goals.

I tried to do so in three attempts, but didn’t have the mind to follow through, only for the matches to end up with at least 3 goals or more.

Informed by this, I thought it was safe to go on ahead and play this one time. I did. Unfortunately, both matches didn’t end like I had predicted.

Over 800k was gone in a flash. I couldn’t believe it. Seeing the signs, I attempted a cash out while the match was still live but couldn’t, as the option wasn’t available.

You may wonder why I had to risk such a huge sum.

It’s simple; think I got greedy. embarassed

However, my excuse was that I needed money to offset some bills. Faced with so much responsibilities, I thought winning over a million naira would go a long way in helping me take care of stuff since business hasn’t been coming in so much. The tile money I used was my first business since March, before the lockdown.

But, of course, my greed overshadowed any excuse I could offer.

To all the young men out there, please, regardless of how sure you are, do not stake more money than you’re willing to lose. I’ve been there. The allure of making it big sooner can be overwhelming, but don’t risk it.

If you must, stake little sums and make future bets from your winnings.

A 37-year-old woman, identified as Torkwase Queen Ayakpa, who was apprehended by men of the FCT police command for staging her own kidnap, revealed that she did it to find out if her sister loves her.

Ayakpa was one of 24 suspects paraded by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command for various offenses on Wednesday, July 29.

Ayakpa, a hairstylist, conspired with one Fidelis Ikule, 36, to stage her kidnap — she confessed to the police that she also did it to extort N20, 000 from her sister because her hairstyling business was no longer doing well due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ayakpa, a native of Benue state and Fidelis, were arrested after the police traced the calls they were making for the ransom to Fidelis’s house in Mashafa Village, Mpape, Abuja, where they were holing up.

Speaking via a new video which is now trending on social media, the little boy said his mother was moved by his pleas, and refused to flog him.

According to him, she calmed down after he went down on his knees to beg. When asked whether he misbehaved again, he said no, he didn’t.

The young boy has been gaining massive attention from Nigerians since his first video went viral. His action in the video also wowed the Governor of Lagos State, Jide Sanwo-Olu who quickly expressed his desire to meet with him.

There was mild pandemonium at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, on Wednesday after two airplanes collided at the international wing of the airport.

The planes, belonging to Middle East Airlines and Turkish Airlines respectively, collided on Wednesday at the cargo area of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The collision occurred when Middle East Airlines plane was coming to park on the apron while Turkish Airlines aircraft was taxiing out.

Thankfully, No injury was reported and assengers on Turkish Airlines flight were made to disembark. The two planes were later grounded.

Man chains wife to a pillar for 10 hours in Ebonyi

Men of the Ebonyi State Police Command have rescued a middle-aged woman, identified as Mrs Ngozi Chukwuani who was chained to a pillar for ten hours by her husband, at their residence in Abakaliki, the state capital.

The abusive husband, identified as Uche, reportedly fled with the key of the padlock.

According to Neighbours who spoke with Tribune Online, Uche hit his daughter’s head with the chain while she was trying to stop him from beating Mrs Chukwuani.

The Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on security and utility, the capital city, Mr. Nchekwube Saints Anakor, while condemning the husband’s action, said ;

“This evening (Tuesday) at no.1 Ike street, Mr Uche Chukwuani chained his wife to a pillar in their building and ran away with the key. Thanks to Ekeaba police whose timely response saved the situation

Man Rapes 20-Year-Old Girl With Down Syndrome In Ogun

The Ogun state police has apprehended a 24-year-old man identified as Godwin Akpan for reportedly raping a 20-year-old girl with Down Syndrome.

The victim was reportedly raped on Tuesday July 28, after her elder sister sent her on an errand close to the gate of their house in Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.

Ogun state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the incident said the suspect was arrested following a complaint by the victim’s sister at the Sango Divisional Headquarters.

Oyeyemi Said;

“The suspect, who is their close neighbour, forcefully dragged the victim to a room, where he had sex with her against her will.

“Upon the report, the DPO, Sango Ota, CSP Godwin Idehai, quickly detailed his detectives to the scene, where the suspect was promptly arrested.

“On interrogation, he confessed to the crime but claimed not to know what came over him that made him to do it.

“The victim has been taken to the general hospital for treatment.”

According to Mairam, the late soldier who was a promising officer prior to his death was gruesomely murdered by colleague exactly one year after he tied the knot with fiancee.

Mairam’s tweet reads ;

“Innalillahi wa Inna illahil rajiun, today our brother was gruesomely murdered in Bama, Borno State, got married exactly this time last year,was a young and promising officer.

The Anambra State’s Ministry of Women and Children Affairs rescued the mother and her son following series of posts made by concerned citizens on social media, pleading for the government to intervene on behalf of the woman and her two children who roam aimlessly along Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi.

When the social welfare department of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs arrived, they found the woman with one child and she put up a struggle when they tried to take her.

She was eventually taken, along with her son and they were given a haircut and cleaned up. When the mentally unstable woman was questioned, she said she is a native of Ichi Nnewi, Nnewi North LGA.

The Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue said she ordered for immediate transfer of the mother and child to a government-owned facility where they will be cared for until they are certified okay to be reunited with their family and integrated back into the society.

A Nigerian lady on social media, identified as Dee Larry recently opined that the Big Brother Naija lovebirds should be evicted from the reality TV show come Sunday.

According to the lady, the reality TV sweethearts need to be voted out of the show so they can plan their traditional marriage as it looks as though the both of them are head over heels in love with each other.

“I think Lilo and Eric should be voted out next week so they can go and do their traditional marriage”, she wrote.

Toluige while explaining why she made the video, said she only wanted to show people how her son always acts drama whenever he’s about to be flogged or punished for his wrong action.

She noted that the video was not for any kind of abuse and thanked her fans for their love and concern.

In her words;

“This video was done to show how my intelligent son use to dramatics and negotiate any time you want to spank him not for abuse of any kind. Thank you Everyone for your concern.”
