Alleged Nigerian fraudster, Ramon Abbas A.K.A Hushpuppi is reported to have been denied bail in the United States in spite of his lawyer, Gal Pissetzky insisting that his job as an Instagram celebrity pays for his expenditures.
Hushpuppi’s lawyers, in his defense, revealed that his job as an Instagram socialite is what pays for his $10,000 monthly rent on his luxury Dubai flat. They had applied for him to leave jail with an electronic tag and live with the uncle of a woman with whom he has a child with, but US prosecutors opposed the bail application.
His lawyers said,
“He is loved and respected. He is a celebrity.
“I don’t see the reason why he would want to ruin his credibility in the world and his status rather than stay here and face this allegation.
“Anywhere he goes, people will know. Having grown up very poor in Nigeria, Mr Abbas is now paid to pose with high-priced items such as Louis Vuitton bags that people would buy after seeing his posts on Instagram.

Yesterday, Monday the 13th of July, was Redeemed Christian Church of God leader, Pastor EA Adeboye’s wife, Foluke Adeboye’s birthday and the clergyman took to his social media page to celebrate his spouse and companion of over 50 years.

Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, his wife and daughter who previously tested positive for COVID-19 have all recovered from the disease.
The governor Okowa on Wednesday, July 1, confirmed that he and his wife had contracted the deadly coronavirus disease.

A video circulating the social media space show the moment some SARS officers tried to arrest a lady in the presence of her boyfriend.
However, there was a quick plot twist after the boyfriend got down on his knees during the staged arrest, and pulled out a ring.
The lady who was crying uncontrollably thinking she was getting arrested over nothing, suddenly let out a wide smile as she hugged her boyfriend tightly.

American actor, Bryshere Gray, who is famous for playing Hakeem on the Fox drama Empire, has been arrested after his wife alleged that he assaulted and strangled her until she passed out.
The incident began at about 10.15pm on Sunday night, July 12 when Goodyear Police responded to a 911 call alleging “an adult female victim had been assaulted at her Goodyear home by her husband, who she identified as Bryshere Gray, an actor on the TV series ‘Empire,’ ” police said in a statement.
According to the police, the woman had multiple visible injuries on her body and she said Gray strangled her at one point, until she passed out.
Her injuries were non-life-threatening but she was taken to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries and released, police said, adding that detectives and a Victim’s Advocate “continued to assist her after her discharge from the hospital.”
When cops got to their home in Goodyear, Arizona, Gray refused to come outside and barricaded himself inside the house overnight.
About nine hours later, he was “taken into custody without incident” just after 7 a.m. Monday, and was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on domestic violence charges, police said.
Gray appeared in all 102 episodes of Empire, which wrapped its six-year run on Fox in April. and Dance.

A Nigerian man has revealed how he gave a job to an old classmate who was once rich and used to buy him food everyday in high school.

”True life story: when I was in high school I used to have this friend his parents were so rich I mean so I thought his father was permanent secretary minister of agriculture something like that sha.

A Nigerian couple welcomed a set of twins three weeks apart. According to the father, David Bankole, he and his wife got married in 2003 and had to wait sixteen years before welcoming their first child, a girl, in February of 2019.
He revealed his wife quickly conceived afterward and on June 19, 2020, she gave birth to their second baby. They had a naming ceremony for the new baby.
He revealed it was after the naming ceremony that his wife started to complain she was having some movement in her stomach. They went to the hospital and it was discovered she had another baby in her.

To the glory of God, this union is almost 18 years now. After we got wedded in 2003, we waited for sixteen good years before God answered us and gave us our first daughter in February 2019. Some days after, she said she was feeling some movement in her stomach. We were like maybe it’s because she just had a baby. A Nigerian Twitter user has taken to the platform to narrate how a lady’s wedding was cancelled because of the silly comments she made on a Facebook page.

Someone in Abuja told of a chilling story about a plight of his niece. She has done her traditional marriage and was about to wed when Facebook crashed the marriage only two weeks to her wedding.����
She was said to be a member of a SINGLES AND MARRIED group on Facebook. Someone made one those silly stupid posts and asked, WILL YOU CHEAT ON YOUR HUSBAND IF OFFERED 10 MILLION NAIRA? The bride to be was among those that replied.
She said that the amount was even too much that she can cheat on her husband if offered only 200K.
Someone that knows her told her to delete that comment because her wedding is coming up and she is already married culturally as an Igbo lady.
Two more people that don’t know her joined in begging her to delete the comment since it crossed decency lines. She lashed out at them in anger by saying, WHO HAS MARRIAGE EPP? THERE IS NO GPS IN MY PRIVATE PART.
She later deleted the obscene comments not knowing that one of the relatives, of the groom had screenshot the silly comments and forwarded them to her mother-in -law who is a senior civil servant and Deaconess in Mountain of Fire church.
Hell was let loosed. There was a meeting where the lady was summoned and in tears she said that she was joking. But then she is a also a pentecostal. All pleadings by her and her parents fell on deaf ears as the wedding was suspended indefinitely.
When I called the person who told me the story this morning, he claimed that the groom family had agreed to call off the marriage entirely and will soon go and collect the dowry they paid. The decision of the family may be debated if it was right or an over reaction.

A young man simply identified as Godstime has allegedly been stabbed to death by his friend over N12, 000 in Amukpe, Delta state.
According to reports, Godstime had gone to a place where they gamble. He and his friends contributed money up to N12, 000 which they used in gambling. However an argument ensued when they needed to share the money they contributed after they had stopped gambling. The verbal altercation then degenerated into a fight and Godstime was stabbed with a bottle twice in his stomach.
The deceased welcomed a child with his wife three days ago. His body has since been deposited in a morgue.

She said they got married one year after the DM. According to her, when she got the DM in February 2019 from a Twitter account without a profile photo, her first thought was “who is this one?”.
However, she responded to his message. In November 2019, he proposed to her and they got married in March 2020.
