A Nigerian lady on twitter has shared her opinion on the current state of affairs in the Nigerian film industry.
The lady identified as Ruqqayah accused Nollywood of ignoring young talents because they are still giving veterans like Fathia Balogun roles that 23-year-olds should easily act.
Her tweet reads ;
Nollywood is still casting Fathia Balogun for roles 23 years olds should easily play
If you see a 20-24 years old playing an important role, then he/she is the producer.
An industry with no space for youngins
This happened in Hollywood; to Amanda Bynes. She was so good, but producers just couldn’t stop offering her ‘teenager’ roles. She didn’t get a career growth at all, her contemporaries surpassed her. She slipped into depression, heavy drug use and attempted suicide several times.
Fathia Balogun is a 51-year-old top actress. She has been in the the movie industry for almost two decades.

“Before we got married, I knew her as an actor and I am okay with her job. Sometimes, when I watch those (romantic) scenes in her movies, I tease her and make her re-enact those scenes for me. My wife and I have very good understanding and she is mindful of the extent to which a romantic scene can go.”
Asked if ‘hype men’ were beginning to get the recognition they deserved, he said,

Either way, if they don’t talk about one, then one is a nobody. Sometimes when we see those comments, we laugh about them. Me and my wife know that people will always talk.”

Effect of OVER DEPENDENCY in Nigerian societies.

Nollywood actress and nudist, Amara Maduka , has proffered a compelling solution to rape.
In a recent interview with NewTelegraph, the actress cum nudist, shared her opinion on the notion that pornography contributed to the increase in rape cases.
She said ;
“In my opinion adult contents has nothing to do with rape. As a matter of fact, rape would reduce if the society embraced adult contents instead of frown at it. It’s basic knowledge that mankind will always long for the forbidden fruit.
Because it’s a big deal, people are going to always crave it. But if it’s embraced and the men know that a woman’s body is just a body.
Everyone has one and it’s not a big deal to see a woman’s body because their sisters have one and their mothers have one, then they would see every woman as human and not an object.
And whatever happened to masturbating? They have plastic vagina now and they won’t burn in hell for wanking when they’re horny, instead of raping they should probably watch some “adult contents” and masturbate. And all that aside, people really need to practice self control”.
