The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church A.K.A Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has described the coronavirus pandemic as an anti-church virus.

Oyedepo said COVID-19 is strategy of the devil and his human agents to stop the growth of the church all over the world.

In his words ;
”Coronavirus is nothing but anti-church virus. Now, freedom of worship is no longer a constitutional right. It is now determined by certain individuals. This is no longer coronavirus, at least in two states- Lagos and Ogun, this is anti-church virus. Caution must be exercised”
He continued saying ;
“Can anybody silence the church? Never. I have never heard of anybody that got healed in the market but God heals people in the church day and night. We have recorded 114 coronavirus healing testimonies, we got 10 this week. And that is the place that is vulnerable and not the market.
“This is anti-church virus we are fighting. It is the grand design of the devil globally to see how he can silence the church.
“Everybody is in the market running over one another everyday of the week and there is no outbreak from the market but there is outbreak from the church, perceived outbreak.”

A Nigerian lady, identified as one Bukola Agboola, was on Thursday, rescued by her neighbours after she attempted to kill herself.
Bukola, a mother of two, was said to have attempted suicide in her residence at No. 2 Kuburat Lawal Street, Abule-Egba, Lagos. According to reports, Bukola drank a poisonous substance on the basis of being frustrated by life’s hardship.

She however, was rushed to the Ile Epo General Hospital by her husband’s brother who was living nearby. Speaking on the hospital bed, Bukola revealed that she was tired of life and maltreatment by her husband, Mr Wasiu Agboola, who she said, used to beat and inflict her with pain.
She also claimed that her husband forced her, on Thursday night, to break into her improvised save (Kolo) to buy foodstuffs for her children who barely ate any food days back.
Iya Idris, as she is fondly called by her neighbours, was said to have suffered so much in the relationship. Her neighbors, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that her’s was an unending case of battering.
According to the neighbours, the husband, Agboola who is a bike man, often resorts to beating her up anytime they had disagreement especially when he is demanding for sex from a woman who barely had anything to eat, most times she gets thrown out on the street in the cold by him.
The neighbours noted further that whoever intervened to give succour to the family, gets a fight from him. They further pleaded with government agencies in charge and human rights group to come to the rescue of Mrs Agboola and her children.
A Nigerian man who lost his mother at the New General Hospital in Asaba, Delta state on Saturday morning, June 27th, has cried out over the demise of his mother as he demands justice over what occurred at the hospital.
According to Okolo Divine Bliss, his mother had been ill for quite some time, showing symptoms of cough, weakness, and was in pains.
On June 25, they decided to take her to the New General Hospital in Asaba in Delta state for medical attention. Divine revealed that on getting to the hospital, the doctors allegedly refused to admit her for fear she might have COVID-19.
He said after about an hour, the doctors agreed to admit her only on the condition that she will be admitted into the ward meant for COVID-19. They had not carried out a test to confirm whether or not she had the viral disease but Collins and his family agreed and she was admitted.
He claimed since on Thursday when they got to the hospital till Saturday, the doctors did not attend to his mum and she died on Saturday morning.
Diving is now demanding justice for his late mother who he said was a prayerful and hardworking person. He wrote,
My name is Okolo DivineBliss,, and I lost my mum today be the 27th of June 2020.. And this is how it happened..
My mum has been sick for some while now and nurses and doctors have been coming over to the house to administer treatment to her and by God’s grace she was responding fine to it.. Some symptoms of the sickness were coughing, she was feeling weak, and also had pains….
So on the 25th of July 2020 we decided to move her to the New general hospital Asaba,, she walked down through our house stairs all by herself even though she was weak..
My Dad and my siblings got to the hospital with her and they refused to admitted treatment because the whole doctors were afraid that it was Covid19 as everyone will suspect… They abandoned her in pains for over an hour before they decided that they are not going to treat her except she Isolated in their Isolations center.. and also her oxygen leve became low in the hospital…
I always said that they shouldn’t ahve moved her there cos my mum hadn’t gone anywhere to to have Covid even through out the time my sister who has health issues was taking care of her at home she didn’t posses any sign of transfer from my mom so I was fully sure within myself that it was not Covid..
But since the doctors and everyone refused to treat her we allowed her to in and she was put on oxygen…
They Isolated her in the Center and she was there without no good attention which I can swear to because we spoke to her regularly and she said no doctor or anymore had gone to see.. we took food to her regularly,,,
Then Until the 26th of June 2020 being yesterday My Dad went with my brother to take things for her at the Isolation Center.. They agreed with my dad that since the case was not yet confirmed and the test result was yet to be out,, that he could stay and watch her and if anything goes wrong he could call them on phone from the room which he regularly did but they did not respond to him fast whenever her did…
We stayed awake at home through out the night praying for the life of my mum and talked to my brother who was there with her regularly and he always said that no one was coming to check on her upon they had a CCTV camera in their Isolation rooms…..
Whenever we call the doctors from home they would say that they have gone to check her and she’s okay but my brother would still say no one has come and she is very weak and breathing slowly… This situation of calling and lying by the Covid 19 doctors happened for over 1hour…is that not wicked of them.
This morning at around 5 o’clock am when the calls and lies of the doctors that she was doing fine and attending to her.,, we decided to go to the hospital ourselves since my brother was crying bitterly that mom is laying dead….
When we got there around After 5am we went forward to the Covid19 area with out car and kept on screaming that they should go and look at my mum but you know what we were there for over an hour no single Doctor came out to speak to us and these were the same doctors that were telling us that she’s fine and taken care of while we were at home…
Out of bitterness I moved into the Covid19 session which they did not lock well and was screaming for help of the doctors and no one still Came out for over an hour… I went into her room that has A CCTV camera where they monitor everything from and started praying but to no avail and no one was still responding to us patients coming out of their wards in the room to complain why the doctors should be so wicked hearing my family’s voice screaming…..
To note: They did and X Ray which showed she had acute pneumonia which could av obviously been the cause of the Covid 19 symptoms she was experiencing but the doctors were not going to attend to her well until the result was going to be out and now my mum is dead….. They couldn’t even face the acute Pneumonia but concluded it’s a Covid 19 case without adequate test… What if the result is out now and it is negative please who killed my mother… Issit not the Doctors….
Please all I need is justice for my mum and support to my family.. She was a Bread winner for us and the one who took care of us always… I don’t know where to go or what to do from here… please I need everyone right now cos it’s like I am single in my world at the moment… Who would take of me ? Who would be my mother? She was the closest to me…. Very prayerful and hardworking.. I don’t know what else to type here that Doctors and Wicked … and as real as Covid 19 is they don’t take it serious In their Isolation centres cos they feel people must die.. please I Need your help for justice and support for my mum”

A Nigerian writer has taken to his social media page to give the narrative of how he came across a misplaced wallet that had a huge sum of money in it and what he did with it.

According to the gentleman, one Alex Adekunle James, it was weeks ago when he found the wallet as he escorted his family members who had visited him at the time, he picked it up, saw its content and set out to returning the item to its owner.
He revealed that he went to hand out the wallet to the owner —a member of the house of representatives— in person and although the person was sort of a snub when he gave him his misplaced item, he however three days later, apologized for his attitude at the moment and gifted Adekunle a token of appreciation.

Adekunle wrote,
A couple of weeks ago (3rd of June), at about 8pm, I was walking my family members, who had come visiting, to their car when I saw this wallet on the floor. As I picked it up, I was stunned by the bulky multiples of $100 bills, a couple of tens of dirham, naira notes, a Dubia medical Insurance card, debit cards (both Naira & Dollar), complementary card, among others.
At that point, I was just consumed with finding out who owned it. A few minutes later, I discovered the wallet belonged to a member of the Federal House of Representative. Thoughts kept flashing through my head, especially because I needed money. I still set out to return it. ??
After so many efforts, I eventually, very late that night, handed over the wallet to him in person. He didn’t say a word to me, as he was on a call the whole time. I barely got a thank you, talk more of a tip, but guess what?
I still felt so much joy doing the right thing.
I saw it as an avenue to make God proud.
I saw it as an opportunity to exemplify the values my generation needs to fix Nigeria.
I saw it as the litmus test to what I have dedicated my life to in the last 11 years (mobilizing Nigerian youths to transform Nigeria into a first-world nation). I saw it as a test to validate the book I have been working on for a couple of months now (Titled “You are the Nigerian Dream” which, by the way, will be out very soon).About 3 days after the incident, the Honorable in question came looking for me in my house, apologized and explained that he was on a very important call and we had a chat for a while. He asked me to text my account details and later that day, I received a token of appreciation from him.
In our hands, Nigeria must be better! We need to exemplify the right values to pull Africa out of its rut.
Sooooooo, watch out for my book! ???Let us set a new culture, tell me something that was hard but you did because it was the right thing.

Nigerians Twitter users have been making banter on social media over the possibility that apprehended socialite, Hushpuppi’s clothes have been put out for sale after soccer icon, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a photo rocking the same outfit Hushpuppi had worn a while back.

The socialite was arrested earlier in the month alongside Olalekan Jacob Ponle, also known as Woodberry and 10 others.
The Dubai Police, in a recent disclosure revealed that Hushpuppi and his gang specialized in hacking corporate emails and sending fictitious messages to the clients of the companies whose email accounts have been hacked to redirect financial transactions and bank details to their own accounts.
Following the socialite’s arrest, a lot of Nigerians have pondered on what would happen to his expensive clothes and luxury cars.
Recently, Cristiano Ronaldo posted a photo rocking a similar outfit with Hushpuppi and Nigerians have made banter over the happenstance.

See some reactions below,

On the evening of June 9th, 2020, Nigerian social media was set abuzz with the then unconfirmed report that Dubai-based Nigerian socialite, Ray Hushpuppi had been apprehended by the FBI and Dubai Interpol on the grounds of being a fraudster.

The news spread like wildfire online as Nigerians had enough to say on the development of the flamboyant socialite, who’s known to lead a quite extravagant lifestyle with little or no detail of the source of his income.

Celebrities, netizens, politicians and more have all had a thing or two to say on the apprehension of the socialite in the United Arabs Emirates city… voices became more amplified when the Dubai police confirmed the arrest of the Big Boy and revealed that his fraudulent activities has close to 2 million victims.
Hushpuppi, before his arrest was an ardent social media user, who’s known to not only show off his extravagant way of life but also talk on controversial issues happening across the country and beyond.

Combing through his Instagram page, we get to see the lifestyle of the socialite who easily indulges in the flashiest of material things; designer wears, expensive flights, exotic cars and all.
In his last Instagram post, the socialite, as is his usual wont, shares a photo of a quite luxurious whip, probably his latest addition to his fleet of exotic cars and says a prayer about prosperity not being a once upon a time story in people’s lives.
He went on to pray that God shames the people waiting for him to be shamed and it’s apparent that his prayers were unheard as not more than 48 hours later, he was nabbed by the authorities who’d been tracking his every move four months prior.
The socialite wrote,
May success and prosperity not be a “once upon a time” story in your life… ?. Thank you lord for the many blessings in my life ?? continue to shame those waiting for me to be shamed ???
As Hushpuppi’s fate is being awaited, there’s been reports that Nigeria and the U.S. have launched the battle for the possession of alleged fraudster.
Officials said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) has been leading America’s effort to take possession of the socialite because many of those he allegedly scammed in years of advance fee fraud were Americans.
Officials could not immediately estimate the financial value of Mr Abbas’ alleged fraud, citing poor cooperation from Dubai authorities, but they expressed confidence his exploits spanned across Europe, U.S. and Nigeria. Details here
