“Manchester United is ‘very close’ to agreeing on a new deal to keep Odion Ighalo at Old Trafford” – Ighalo’s agent says

English Football club, Manchester United is edging closer to agree on a new deal to keep Odion Ighalo at Old Trafford after it was revealed the Chinese Super League’s foreign players are to be banned from returning until October, meaning he can’t leave anytime soon with his loan deal set to expire this Sunday.

His parent club, Shanghai Shenhua had been demanding Ighalo return to China ahead of the new Chinese Super League season next month with a two-year contract extension worth £400,000 per week on the table.

At some point, the Chiness club were considering selling the Nigerian international while United only wanted an extension in his loan deal.

His agent, Ladi Salami has now revealed that an extension is close to being agreed between Manchester United, Shanghai Shenhua and Odion Ighalo.

Ladi Salami told FootMercato,

“On the one hand, the Super Eagle [Nigerian] feels very good in Manchester with which it is very close to a salary agreement.

“Negotiations with the Chinese are ongoing and are going well.”

”On the other hand, in view of the latest regulations in force in the Middle Empire, it is almost impossible to offer such amounts.’

The news of Ighalo’s potential extension at Manchester United comes amid reports in China that foreign players may not be able to return to the country until October, with the new season set to start next month.

Sike football reporter Miao Yuan claimed in a report that up to a third of the Chinese Super League’s players are currently outside of China and face being refused entry until much later in the year.

Since signing for Manchester United on a short-term loan deal from Shanghai Shenhua back in January, the striker has made a valuable contribution, scoring four times in just three starts.

Zlatan, who shared the photo in spirit of the holiday —children’s day— today, shared a photo of the tattoo he got himself which has the inscription of his baby’s name.

Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala looks to be finding it hard to return home due to the lockdown in Spain, where she plays for Barcelona Femení.

The Barcelona striker indicated that she would like to return home to spend time with her families.

This is coming as a result of the cancellation of the Spanish Primera Iberdrola earlier this month due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The four-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year winner, who observed the Ramadan fast in Spain, revealed she wants to return home to join her family.

Taking to her Twitter page and writting in Pidgin English, Oshoala wrote, “Abeg who get private jey wey him no dey use for now. Please comman carry me from barcelona to Lagos, I want to go home.”

Asisat then pleaded with music sensation Davido to lend her his jet, so she could come home, her tweet below;

Landlord allegedly shoots tenant dead for refusing to vacate his house

A landlord in the Ofankor area of Ghana has reportedly been arrested for allegedly shooting his tenant who refused to vacate his house after he ordered him to.

A Facebook user, Blessing Naana Ansah-Senkyire took to her page to share photos of the arrested suspect at the police station.

She revealed that the landlord who was angry that her brother, Kobby didn’t finish packing on the day he was asked to vacate the property, took a gun and shot him while still in his room. Kobby reportedly died instantly.

She wrote,

Yesterday this man shot and killed my brother at ofankor. Mr landlord who is a disappointed bugar, you won’t go free. No one will bail you out for taking a life..

He was asked to vacate his room yesterday but couldn’t finished packing so he wanted to live today and the landlord got angry pick a gun at him why he still in his room.. Then he shot him

Blessing Naana Ansah-Senkyire also shared a copy of the tenancy agreement which showed that her brother’s rent expired on the day he was shot.

She wrote in another post,

This is the proof that my brother rent expired this month 24th may 2020. The murderer was only a witnessed and son to the landlord who is the mother.. Then on 25th he shot him dead. How on earth can human be this wicked?… .. The mother claimed the son cannot Be in jail. But we live to see.

Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola responded to a follower on his Instagram page after the follower left a comment telling him he’s interested in his daughter, Temi Otedola.

“Sir, hear me out, all I want is Temi. I swear I’ll take care of her,” the smitten follower wrote under the billionaire businessman’s post of himself and his 24-year-old daughter.

The billionaire then responded by acknowledging the fact that his daughter is occupied with Nigerian singer, Mr Eazi by saying,

The fashion influencer has for years now been dating the singer Mr Eazi and he’s been introduced to her family.

A Nigerian lady is clamouring for justice for her sister who was physically assaulted by her husband.

@Modebolanle on Twitter shared photos of her sister’s bloody body earlier this morning, stating that her sister’s husband who she described as a “Monster”, inflicted the injuries on her sister. She is therefore demanding for justice.

This is what I’m facing. A monster (her husband) did this to my sister and he nearly killed her. I need help please this must not go unpunished.

Corps members who met in Plateau state set to wed this Saturday (photos)

Two Corps members who met in Plateau state for their madatory one year youth service, are about to wed this Saturday, May 30.

According to a statement from NYSC, Felicia Haruna from Kaduna state and Mark Makafan from Kogi state, met at the Mangu Orientation Camp in Plateau state in 2019, fell in love, and started a relationship that is leading to marriage. They will be wedding two days after they pass out from service this Thursday, May 28.

Corps Members Felicia Haruna PL/19B/2197 from Kaduna State and Mark Makafan Odi PL/19B/1217 from Kogi State have demonstrated symbol of true friendship, affection and love towards a blissful marital union.

They were both deployed to Plateau State for the one year mandatory service to the nation having obeyed the clarion call and reported to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Mangu, Mangu LGA, for the 2019 Batch “B” service year.

Being members of seven (7) Platoon in camp, the duo from different backgrounds, yet, with many similarities, the relationship which was borne at Mangu camp has today culminated into marriage and as the service year draws to a close, they have unanimously declared, “I DO”.

Extending the wedding invitation to the State Coordinator, NYSC Plateau, Caroline Embu, the Corps Members expressed great joy to have met during the service year and united together in love to a life time adventure.

They appreciated the NYSC Scheme for the enabling environment it created through the deployment of graduate youths to states other than their states of origin to promote unity irrespective of origin, religion, class, tribe and cultural differences which is also bridging gaps and building long lasting relationships.

In her response, NYSC Plateau State Coordinator Caroline Embu commended the intending couple for keeping faith with their heart desire and for the promotion of national integration and unity through marriage from two different states of origin and geopolitical zones. which she further described is in line with the mission statement of the NYSC Scheme.

She prayed for the intending couple and blessed their marriage with long life, prosperity and unending joy. She also advised all Corps Members to use the service year as a stepping stone to attain greater heights by being focused and having unity of purpose exhibited by Corps Members Felicia and Mark.

Singer, J. Martins has weighed in on the ongoing contract controversy between Cynthia Morgan and and her former boss, Jude Okoye.

Taking to his Instagram page to react, the singer said Jude did his best to help and support Cynthia Morgan and May D, who also accused the Okoye brothers of not fully taking care of him as an artiste under their label.

While he refused to comment on the family issues between Peter, Paul, and Jude in public, the ‘Good or Bad’ singer made a heartfelt request to the music executive to forgive and put the whole issue to rest.

J.Martins also called on Peter and Paul to get back together as Psquare, and also tasked Cynthia Morgan and May D to make a great comeback.

He wrote:

I made a promise to myself that i will never discuss anything that has to do with my brothers the Okoye’s family or ( Psquare ) on social media platforms not minding pressures from left right and centre. Jude have always been the elder brother to all of us while he was the manager as well too.

Our relationship as young hustlers/ brothers as at when i joined them started more then a decade and half about 16years or more, from Ilupeju together then to Omole phase 1 and building the psquare studio in omole house then and the rest is history, so when i say that to you all that before you talk or bash someone by jumping into conclusions, always make sure that you do your due diligence and have your facts right.

A Nigerian guy whose alleged six years engagement to his fiancée was abruptly called off has taken to his social media page to air his disappointment.

The said gentleman told of how his fiancée returned the ring he engaged her with for “ordinary six years”. According to the young man, his fiancée calling it quits isn’t really his problem but the fact that she couldn’t wait for just another 4 years.

His Facebook post reads,

“Ordinary 6yrs of engagement o! She just returned my ring, saying she can no longer wait for just 4 more yrs.”

It’s not known whether or not he was kidding in his post but most of his friends on Facebook have taken to the post to lampoon the man, calling him wicked for intending to keep her waiting for 10 years.

Former Nollywood actress, Regina Askia, few days ago, shared a video online where she had a candid conversation with her son about marriage.

In the video, the mother of three disclosed how she and her son’s father, Rudolf William were separated and how she suffered physical and verbal abuse while with him.

When her son asked why they couldn’t mend their broken relationship, she responded saying,

It was a very difficult patch in pur relationship. You know, people are on different journies at different times in their lives. Your father at that point, his head was not really investing in our relationship. He wanted to be whereever he wanted to be. It was not something I signed up for and we had a lot of fights and quarells and issues and somethings you can’t really forget and forgive. It will take a long time to forget and forgive and we kind of separated and went our different ways. I was in the house while he was tossed away. At a point, I said to myself thisis not the kind of life that I want so I left”

Speaking further, she said

“That was a dark part. We fought alot. Physically and verbally. Emotionally. We fought alot and he resorted to using his hands but I cut him down with my mouth. Things didn’t go well and the children were in the middle. It wasn’t a good time and so we seperated. But even through our separation, your father was always coming over, always there”

A three-month-old baby, Olive, has become a viral sensation after putting up a variety of grumpy facial expressions while taking passport photos.

The Infant’s mum, Alice Tranfield stated that Olive as a UK and Australian citizen requires two passports so since she could not go out to get any passport photos due to the Coronavirus pandemic, she took the photos at home by herself with her Iphone, and the results sum up 2020, a complete confusion of this crazy time she has been born in to!

The mom spoke to metro.co.uk thus ;

‘I suppose her expression does sum up 2020: Complete confusion of this crazy time she has been born in to!’ .

‘My partner James works from home and my three-year-old son was playing nicely.

‘Olive had just woken, so I thought this was a good opportunity to have a go at getting a shot. ‘Since the day she was born, Olive has looked pretty angry! ‘At my six-week check (over the phone) the health visitor had asked whether she was smiling yet (a six-week milestone) and she definitely hadn’t smiled, her frown was strong though. ‘They even called me a few weeks later to check… and she finally had, but we certainly get more frowns than smiles. ‘To try and get a good passport photo without Olive wriggling, I shouted to my husband James to come down to hold her.

‘In the requirements for a passport photo, it states “eyes must be open and clearly visible”, “facial expression must be neutral”, both edges of the face must be clearly seen with shoulders squared to the camera. ‘These seem quite impossible to me, I’m not sure how other parents find it!’

A Nigerian man has taken to micro-blogging site, Twitter to mourn his ‘close girlfriend,’ Magana, who died of Coronavirus in Abuja.

According to the aggrieved man, the deceased had been ill and was treating malaria and typhoid until last Thursday when she tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.

”I just lost a close girlfriend to Covid-19 in Wuye, Abuja, she passed just now.

It’s sad Covid-19 prevented me from being there when you gave up the ghost, which I’m very sure it was your last wish as you always say “Bobo come and hold me. Magana I will miss you for the rest of my life. The Hausa you thought and all the connections you gave in Abuja.

I insisted you were exposed to Covid-19, you claimed it was Malaria, you kept treating malaria to typhoid until last week Thursday when things exacerbated and you went for proper checks at the National Hospital and you were tested positive. You really fought hard Magana. ” he tweeted.

Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic, ASUP, Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro Chapter, Akpituren Mogbeyi has died in a ghastly motor accident.

It was gathered that the lecturer, popularly known as Mr America, who drove in a Toyota Highlander jeep, died on Sunday afternoon after he collided with a truck along the Ogwashi-Uku/Asaba expressway.

The Public Relations Officer of the Delta Polytechnic, Mr Boniface Ogarayen, who confirmed the news, described the death as sad and painful.

Until his death, the deceased was a lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering Department in the polytechnic. He was very active in Students Union activities and was also one of the patrons of National Association of Itsekiri Students(NAIS) and National Association of Aniocha-Oshimili Students (NAAOS) DSPZ Chapter respectively, and also a Senior Staff Adviser to the Man’O’War Command in DSPZ.

Nigerian born London singer, Jocey Joseph Ekwuazi, better known as Willie XO seems to have thrown a subtle shade at ex-big brother Naija housemate, Ike Onyema, after he purportedly demanded money from his lover, Mercy Eke, if she wants things to end between them.

In the previous week’s episode of their reality TV show, Ike is seen requesting money from Mercy saying; “If You Want To End Things With Me, Pay Me Off”.

In the episode, Ike urges Mercy to unfollow the London singer on social media as he felt this would help their relationship move forward.

The moment Ike saw Mercy’s reaction to what he had just asked her to do, the reality TV star realized his lover wasn’t ready to make sacrifices for him.

They had a back and forth on the situation and eventually, Mercy gave in and unfollowed the singer.

It should be recalled that sometime in February, Mercy paid a visit to Willie in London where they both shared photos and videos of each other on Instagram — their gestures fueled the speculations that Mercy may be cheating on Ike with Willie.

A Nigerian lady, Martina Oge Ifemeje Mgbechi, has said that you don’t have anything to do with marriage if you don’t like or want sex.

Taking to her Facebook page, the lady said, no man or woman can endure sexless marriage, as sex is food to a man and if you are not ready to feed him, you should remain single.

“If you don’t want and like sex you have nothing to do with marriage.
Don’t create problem for yourself, because no man or woman can endure sexless marriage. To a man, sex is food and if you are not ready to feed him please remain single. To a woman sex is love, if she is not touched she feels unloved. It is not a sin to be single but it is a sin to marry and be denying your husband or wife sex.”

Daddy Freeze Defends Leke Adeboye After He Was Criticized For Dressing Like A Gangster

OAP Daddy Freeze has defended Leke Adeboye after an evangelist slammed him for dressing ‘like a gangster’.

The Evangelist on facebook identified as Victor Edet, shared a photo of Leke Adeboye, the son of pastor E.A. Adeboye, and said it is wrong for a pastor to wear a face cap the way Adeboye wore his facing to the side.

Victor Edet Wrote;

“I was shocked and shut of word’s after seeing this picture, how can a Pastor be wearing a face cap this way? God of mercy, what is the church turning into? Leke Adeboye should be cautioned seriously and he should be called to order. You can’t be a Pastor and be dressing like a gangster.”

However, in a shocking move, Daddy Freeze defended Leke and described Mr. Edet’s post as petty. He also advised the evangelist to concentrate on doctrine instead of dressing.

Daddy Freeze Wrote;

“There’s nothing wrong with Leke’s dressing.

If you have any issue with doctrines address those, but speaking of his mode of dressing is beyond petty in my opinion.

“By the way it’s ‘short of words’ not ‘shut of words’ if anything needs a ‘dressing’ overhaul; it’s your English”.

Nigerians on social media have flipped the switch on dancehall singer, Cynthia ‘Madrina’ Morgan upon receipt of the 2013 contract between dancehall singer, Cynthia Morgan and Northside Entertainment, headed by music executive, Jude Okoye, which surfaced online.

A copy of the contract was sent to Tunde Ednut by Jude Okoye, in response to the allegations made against him by Cynthia Morgan.

Recall that Cynthia who now goes by the stage name Madrina alleged that she was not allowed to use her stage name and that she no longer had access to her social media accounts following her exit from Jude Okoye’s Northside Records.

She also claimed that she lost all she had, including her name, VEVO account, and royalties after they had some issues centering on her contract.

However, in a frenzy twist of tale, her former manager, Joy Tongo refuted that claim and said the embattled singer was telling lies in order to get self-pity. Her ex-label boss, Jude Okoyo also had the same sentiment and said Cynthia’s story was anything but true.

In the latest update to the story, her contract details has now surfaced on social media and from every indication, it can be deduced that the singer was not quite honest with her side of the story.

One twitter user identified as Joey Akan, shared a copy of the contract and wrote ;

In an epic close of the saga, Cynthia Morgan lied through her teeth and whitewashed her bad behaviour to deceive you all for favours.

This is what I call “Father Christmas” contract. Everything split in the middle, 50-50 between both parties. Jude signed to be a “helper.”

50% deducted from gross profit. She gets a bigger court. They cover everything, and she just sings, show up, look nice and perform.

She also had a very strong grip on artistic control including content and image. Title of recording is also joint control. Sign me Oga Jude! Abeg!

For all of you bleeding hearters who rushed to attack Jude Okoye, who let her go after she walked away and didn’t even take her to court for breaching the deal, owe him an apology.

Artists dey suffer, but artists are also big defaulters. Jude Okoye is the victim here. Chai.

Jude had grounds to go quench this girl career. And he didn’t. How come she’s attacking him for what?

What is his crime? You technically drafted this contract, and if you had issues, this was meant to go to arbitration.

Cynthia Morgan lied. She cried. Deceived all of you.

Singer, Dammy Krane slams trolls who say his career needs a boost

Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane is not welcoming the idea of those including him in the league of artistes whose career need a total overhaul.

The singer addressed this in a recent Instagram post, following the Cynthia Morgan vs Jude Okoye drama that prompted people to talk about other singers who have disappeared from the spotlight and might have a dwindling career.

Talking about this, Dammy whose career took a major hit after he was jailed for card fraud in the United States, said:

Y’all shouldn’t put me in this but I understand , y’all just don’t know the truth , even though I made myself with the Favour of God ( F.O.G ) ,I never had an issue with my label , it is a known fact no artistes in my generation has left their label without having issue with the label except me , swipe for confirmation @thenetng BTW everyone deserves to shine
