Floyd Mayweather has offered to cover the funeral expenses for George Floyd, the African-American man whose death while in police custody in Minneapolis prompted protests across the United States.
According to Hollywood Unlocked, the famous American boxer told the publication’s founder CEO Jason Lee about his commitment to take care of all Floyd’s funeral expenses.
During a private conversation between Mayweather and Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee, the retired boxer reportedly revealed that he was distraught after learning the minimal charge former officer Chauvin Derek received for killing George Floyd last week Monday.
The former five-division world champion’s promotional company, Mayweather Productions, confirmed on Twitter he had made the offer, and several local media reports have said the family have accepted.

Nigerian music legend, Majekodunmi Fasheke, popularly known as Majek Fashek, has died.
The reggae king’s death was confirmed by his manager Omenka Uzoma, via his social media page.

Hameed and Zainab had a low key wedding in Kano this past weekend. According to the court papers that’s begun to make the rounds on social media, the man identified as Zubairu Malhamatu Malamai, accused Zainab of lying to him while they were allegedly dating for three years.
According to Zubairu, he invested over N9 million on Zainab who promised to get married to him but ended up with somebody else.
Zubairu’s lawyer, Sir Isa Wangida, who authenticated the letter alleged that Zubairu has been picked up by the SSS. He confirmed that the document came from his chambers but insisted he has no idea how it was leaked to the public.

Father of 22-year-old UNIBEN student, Uwa Omozuwa, who was raped and murdered at the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ikpoba Hill, Edo state has spoken for the first time since the tragic incident occurred.
Uwadia, a 100 level student of the department of Microbiology, went to read inside the church on Wednesday, May 27 and was raped and murdered by yet to be identified persons.
In an interview with TVC news, Mr. Omozuwa said he was shocked when he saw the injuries on his daughter’s body.
When I saw the injury, I shed tears as a father. I never knew the injury was much” he said
According to Mr Omozuwa, he has always been a traditionalist but was only recently, converted to the Christian faith by his daughter who persistently asked him to give his life to Christ. He says he will be going back to his former religion.
The sister of the deceased who also spoke, demanded justice for her late sister. She said bite marks were all over Uwadia’s body when they saw her.
“When we saw her, it was not good at all, bite marks all over her body. When we saw her, her body, her hand, her mouth had bruises. When we saw her in that condition, we rushed her to one hospital, they couldn’t handle it. Then we took her to UBTH. That is where she gave up last night.” she said
The Pastor of the church paid the family a condolence visit and was almost attacked. The timely intervention of the police saved him.
Late Uwadia, her mother and sister have been attending the church for over 15 years and she was said to be a Chorister.

The federal government on Monday June 1, lifted the ban on religious gatherings across the country.
Chairman of the presidential task force on COVID-19 and secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha made the announcement during the daily briefing of the task force today.
Mustapha said relaxation of restriction on places of worship is based on guidelines issued by the PTF and protocols agreed by state governments. However gathering of more than 20 persons remains prohibited outside of work places and in religious services.
He said;
“The PTF submitted its recommendations and the PRESIDENT has approved the following for implementation over the next four weeks spanning 2nd – 29th June, 2020, subject to review.
“Cautious advance into the Second Phase of the national response to COVID-19; application of science and data to guide the targeting of areas of on-going high transmission of COVID-19 in the country.
“Mobilisation of all resources at State and Local Government levels to create public awareness on COVID 19 and improve compliance with non-pharmaceutical interventions within communities; sustenance of key non-pharmaceutical interventions that would apply nationwide and include: ban of gatherings of more than 20 people outside of a workplace.
“Relaxation of restriction on places of Worship based on guidelines issued by the PTF and protocols agreed by state governments.”
The nationwide curfew has also been rescheduled to 10pm—4am. Restaurants outside of hotels must remain closed for eat-in, only take-out is permitted at this time.
Schools, bars, gyms, cinemas, nightclubs, parks are to remain closed until further evaluation. It was further learnt that the aviation Industry requested to start developing protocols for domestic flights to possibly resume from June 21.

A young boy who was caught defiling a 6-year-old boy has been arrested by the police.

According to The Sun, the ace forward has “agreed” a loan extension with Manchester United until end of January 2021.

A women leader, Precious, in the University of Benin, has in a new interview following the rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa, said the 22 year old was a virgin before her tragic demise.
Precious, who while reacting to the news deemed the situation as “Barbaric“, said Uwaila’s father confirmed that she was a virgin before her rapists had their way with her and murdered her thereafter.
According to the Precious, who beckoned on authorities in the state to work harder in finding the perpetrators of this atrocity, Uwaila could not have in any way “instigated” being raped as she was fully clothed before she was raped.
Precious went on to share the tragic details of the state Uwaila was after she was discovered in her pool of blood in the church. She stated that the 22 year old could barely open her eyes or even utter a word before she passed away.

A Nigerian guy with the name, Wisdom Chidozie on Facebook has taken to his page to talk to ladies on the subject of rape.
Wisdom’s post comes after news of the incessant rape cases in the country rocked news outlet in no more than 72 hours.
According to Wisdom, who with his insensitive post, has incurred the wrath of furious Nigerians, ladies should allow men rape them and not allow them force and wound them.
In Wisdom’s own words,
“My advice for girls is that if one person decides to rape you. Give him sex. Don’t allow him force and wound you.
If they are more than one, pardon with them so they can wait one after one
If they disagree promise them changing styles.“he wrote.

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has reacted to the rape and murder of Miss. Uwa Omozuwa in one of the branches of his church in Edo state.
The leader of one of the most popular churches in the country reacted to the tragic incident on Instagram saying what can be done at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa.
He wrote,
“All I can do at this time is to pray for the family of Omozuwa and do everything possible working with relevant authorities to bring the perpetrators to book. I and members of my Family condemn this act strongly and urge everyone to stay calm as we are already looking into the matter and cooperating with the police to establish the facts of the shocking situation . . #justiceforuwa”
